It felt like it was way too much, and I also felt like they were running the bill up. They also wanted to remove a tooth in my 16-year-old dog which I thought would be contrary to his health because anesthesia at that age is not a wise thing.. however they thought it was OK. Of course that was not part of the $800.... that was extra as would be any treatment that they gave after they determined The reason for the cough . So I'm sure it would have been close to $1,500 at the very least to treat and diagnose the cough on the dog. Of course the removal of the teeth would be even more..

They worked with the rescue we fostered and adopted our dog from and instead of refusing him for neutering because he was too young, they changed his age and stated that he was older than he really was. We have since confirmed this with two (respected) second opinions. We begged the rescue not to neuter a barely 3 month old large breed puppy, but they wouldn't allow us to adopt him until they did. We called Jonesborough Animal Hospital who told us they wouldn't go through with the surgery if the age given by the rescue was inaccurate once they saw the dog. After hearing this "policy", we trusted that they would do the right thing once they saw him. They didn't, and we have since learned that this was an outright lie. Since receiving final paperwork we can read the notes which clearly state that they were doing it at the insistence of the person at the rescue org (not a vet) regardless of his age or our concerns. This puppy had never even had an exam or shots prior to this and they did no blood work or IV fluids before, during or after this experience. He was 11 weeks old. This was a profoundly low level of veterinary care. I have never seen anything comparable in 25 years of responsible pet ownership. Our sweet boy may suffer in the years to come thanks to a premature castration, something most professionals strongly recommend against for large breeds. Your hometown veterinarian clinic that truly cares about your pet. I have been coming here well…read moreover four years now with multiple animals. The animals are treated with respect and care as if it was a human. The staff is truly amazing, everyone is so friendly. The services and procedures are very reasonably priced. This location is walking only with no appointments. Convenience, quality, and exceptional detail is what you'll get!

When we arrived we were checking in at the front desk. The receptionist was not kind. She had an attitude even tho my sister in law and I were very very nice and patient. A nurse came over to take a look at the wound on Gracie, she took not even 2 seconds to look at it and told us there was really nothing they could do. You can see my dogs fat on the inside without even having to really look. Then, we proceeded to wait for an eternity, (and yes I do understand that there are other patients, however a priority system would be extremely effective). They were seeing animals who had minor issues, like getting lab work done or shots, meanwhile my dog has an actual open hole in her chest that NEEDS to be stitched up or stapled or something. There is no possible way that we can leave this wound open without there being potential for an infection that could kill my dog. And lastly, my SIL went in to see if there was any bottled water and a water bowl she could purchase because our dog is thirsty, and the receptionist completely and blatantly ignore her. I've always heard really good things about this place, and have read multiple reviews about how good they are with everyone's animals, but I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the treatment that we received today. I'm also going to attach a picture of what her wound looks like. We are currently in a room, but now it's another waiting game on how long it's going to take to be seen. We are going on hour 3.
