The rugelachs tasted a bit old the each time I had it. I thought it was a bad batch but it seems to be that way every time I get them. The last time I got them they were hard and difficult to bite into and tasted stale. They were pretty expensive too. For $14.75 per pound, no cookies should be old.

I've had baklava over the years, most times I can take it or leave it, but this stuff is the real deal and was delicious and flaky and firm. Really good. Regarding authentic atmosphere....the 50 to 100 photos of babies and family members tacked and taped to the back wall, seal the deal. This place is a great new discovery in my neighborhood, that has probably been here for years.

And a light dusting of powdered sugar. Jam cookies and crystal sugar sprinkled cookies were similarly delicious. Apple turnover was full of apple and yummy filling, without tasting fake or preserved. Nothing at this place lasts long enough to need to be preserved! The muffins are inventive. I don't even think I covered everything... I got way too much and yet not enough. That's my only gripe is that some of the stuff I look forward to is sold out lol I really have to try the Cannoli! I know, I know... Marie is a wonderful host, as was the employee who served us. The staff member seemed a little annoyed by the situation and even said they usually start the orders half an hour later, but I think they would have to make that correction on the app. I was worried she would pack mediocre goods for me, as the order was for a random bag of "leftovers," since she didn't seem to be in a good mood. However, I was hopeful when I left with one huge bag. I received three croissants, one chocolate frosted donut with cream inside, three brioche buns, and one muffin. The almond croissant was really good; I'd go back for it again. At Rimini's, their almond croissant is just almond flakes on the outside, but at Nuccio's they have almond paste on the inside of the croissant -- so delicious! I would steer clear of their donuts, it was very bland and the texture was no good; even Dunkin' has better donuts! The bread was acceptable in taste but had a really tough texture.
