There are 3 ladies who help run this office. Doctor Experience: When coming to this office plan on waiting two to three hour minimum for a 5 to 10 minute doctor's visit. We were scheduled at 1:30 and seen after 2 pm left a 3:15 Doctor Albert is straight to the point. Doctor Shoimi Albert, is treating my mother-in-law she has kidney stones. I had her CT scan done which showed the kidney stones. Next she needed a KUB a particular xray. I made and appointment in March for a first visit in April. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment time, did the required paperwork, and waited 45 minutes after my appointment time to ask about why it was taking so long. The receptionist told me "He is a surgeon and consults with the hospital so it is always a 60 or 90 minute wait!!" I was a patient of Dr. Shlomi for two years, during which I underwent multiple biopsies, MRIs, and extensive testing. Despite all of this, I felt like I was being shuffled around with no clear direction or compassion. After a blood test indicated a 25% cancerous result, I asked Dr. Shlomi for clarification. His response? "You're a smart guy--figure it out." Completely unacceptable and dismissive. The experience was compounded by consistently rude and unhelpful staff, and excessive wait times (never under 1.5 hours). The lack of communication, empathy, and professionalism made an already stressful health situation much worse. Thankfully, I found Dr. Daniel Su, who not only explained everything clearly but treated me with genuine care and respect. Dr. Albert and one of his staff (Angie) are the most unprofessional and incompetent bunch I have ever dealt with. I had to wait ONE month for an appointment. In order to book the appointment, I had to fax over my authorization referral several times. On the second day, Angie finally acknowledged receipt after I was trying to call. When I finally waited the month and got to my appointment, I had to wait 1.5 hours. I was told to arrive 15 minutes early to my appointment to complete paperwork. When I arrived, the lobby was filled with patients who were waiting, many of them longer before I even arrived. I filled out my paperwork, and was told an hour later by Angie they never received an authorization. I reminded her that she would not let me book an appointment in the first place. Somehow then, she found it and printed it out. I got a nice rebuke from Angie too for waiting on turning in my paperwork, because the lobby was so full of people, I couldn't get back to the front window because two disabled people in wheelchairs were blocking it and patiently waiting as well. So apparently being a good first time customer waiting for the two office staff to try and deal with madhouse wasn't appreciated. To boot, a man was allowed to come into the lobby and sit without a mask, and claimed that Dr. Albert allowed him to do so, because he and Dr. Albert are ANTI-VAXXERS. So amidst me waiting for my appointment, a slightly heated and verbose argument takes place, to which the office staff finally opens the admitting door, and then ask why my blood pressure is jacked when examining my vitals. When I get to see Dr. Albert, he does stick his head in the examination room briefly to apologize for the long wait (1 hr 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time). Then when inspects me, he yanks my pants down and continually squeezed on a very painful growth which was the reason I went to see him. I winced with pain, each time he kept asking "does it hurt, does it hurt?" At the end of the ordeal, I asked him if I needed to have it removed, he did state he needed to do an MRI. Since my PCP already did an ultrasound, I provided his office with that. Angie then called back and said that Dr. Albert reviewed the ultrasound and no MRI is needed, and that if I am in pain and since I am moving to another state next month, that I should go see a urologist in that state instead. So come to Dr. Albert's office if you want to be tortured and abused, neglected, then denied care by the most incompetent medical staff ever. Super unethical practice here. My mom came in to see him for less than 2 minutes just to have him say her Ultrasound is negative & he charged $425 just for that visit!!!! He could've called her to say that. Then his office makes another appointment for her without her consent for who knows what! They sent a mail reminder for the appointment and we were shocked. Update: Found out that $150 of the $425 was an office visit charge for the appointment he made without her consent and an appointment she did not go to, because there was no reason to go...& she didn't make the appointment. Waited for almost an hour even with an appointment. Doctor spent five minutes with me, most of which he spent lecturing on the philosophy of Ayn Rand, then he prescribed the same medication I had just told him was making me feel extremely lightheaded. I felt like he didn't listen to anything I said and seemed to brush aside all my issues because I was young. On top of that his bedside manner was indifferent and uncaring, making me feel more violated than comforted after leaving his office. Dr. Albert is very conscientious and genuinely cares about his patients. Hubby went for some inflammation and cyst issue. After a thorough review and ultrasound exam, doctor assured him the problem was nothing to worry about. Unlike some greedy doctor, Dr. Albert did not talk us into expensive and unnecessary surgery. Instead he recommended not to perform any surgery based on the minor issue, thinking it may do more harm then help. The wait time was about 30 - 45 minutes. We feel it was totally fine because he did take time to carefully exam the patient and explain to you with patience. He has excellent bedside manner which really helps to ease away the stress and makes you feel comfortable. Dr. Albert alone will get our 5 stars without hesitation. The only reason I am taking 1 star off is because of the receptionist (Grrrr!!). When I first called to book an appointment, I asked whether the office has on-site ultrasound service. She replied with a confirmed NO, which almost made me cancel the appointment, thinking how inconvenient it'd be to visit an urologist without ultrasound. Thankfully her information was wrong. She also failed to send our prescription to the chosen pharmacy, even after I double checked with her before leaving the office. My pharmacist had to call her next day to get the prescription. What a pain! Not sure whether she is just absent-minded, or actually sent by another evil competing doctor to ruin the service. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Albert's for a few years and have been treated by and consulted him for a variety of issues. I know him to be an excellent diagnostician and surgeon and am frankly quite surprised by some of the negative reviews. I checked his healthgrades.com score which is actually a much better indicator than YELP and was not surprised to see a score of 4 1/2. I'm not sure about some of the negative reviews he's received on YELP, but they are in stark contrast to his actual skill and bedside manner. Went to the office twice with my mom. Every time needs to wait for 90 minutes to talk to him for 2 minutes. I felt so sorry for urology patients for not be able to go to restroom for 2 hours waiting especially for those in wheelchair. Yesterday, when We visit, he told us to take a sample and wait for another month to come back for results since the last month sample was not enough to do the test. What a waste of time. I really think this guy is in a profession that he doesn't like. Not personable. Not gruff or offensive, but not friendly. I had a 3:45 PM appointment, that's important, appointment. I left after waiting an hour. Proper procedure was not followed for a urine sample. I am high-risk for COVID-19, not a piece of PPE in sight, nobody working there was wearing any, saw a room get reset after a patient left, no gloves, no wipedown, nothing, just a new coverlet. I saw an 80+ year old patient come out, he was wearing a mask as were the other patients. None of staff had one on or visible anywhere around them, not a glove in sight. This doctor and his staff DO NOT CARE about the welfare of their patients, no preventative measures at all, none, zero. And they had the nerve to try and get me to come back, even called my wife as I would not take their calls. That was after I told them that I was not willing to risk my life with them because of no PPE. DO NOT USE THIS Doctor, he does not care about his patients. read more

Three weeks ago, I made an appointment to see Dr. Albert. The appointment was for 11am today, and they asked me to arrive early to fill out paperwork. I arrived early and saw that the person ahead of me also gave his appointment time as 11am. Hmmm... That person was called in at 11am. At 11:20, I was given the paperwork to fill out, so why did I arrive early? I completed the paperwork, and at 11:40 I still hadn't been called in, so I told them I had to leave as I had somewhere else to go. I shouldn't have scheduled two things so closely, but they were calling other people who I think had later appointment times than mine, so I don't know if they would have called me anyway. I left, but was able to go back about an hour later, so I did, but they were all out to lunch. I called after their return time, and they said I couldn't see him until next month. I'd already waited three weeks, and they couldn't fit me in, even though they had double-scheduled my time and hadn't seen me by 40 minutes after. So now I'm having to find a new doctor who can see me soon, as my situation is actually kind of urgent. My med group is helping me with that, but I'm done with Dr. Albert. read more

Dad went in for a prostate biopsy went home a couple hours later got rushed to the ER as he was about to die. Told doctor about the incident and he didn't give a hoot! Brushed it over and said its pretty normal. Ummm yeah no wont be coming back to him. So much for compassion. Be careful if you go to him. Treat every procedure like a major one there are no "simple" procedures maybe to him but he's not home taking care of our live ones. Keep your family members on observation just in case.
