My email was incorrectly put on a customer account who shops there. I called and they refuse to remove my email. Manager was awful. Apparently thinks it's my job to spend hours fixing this. Told me I had to call customer service because he cannot because it's my account. I kept reminding him it's not Mr account either! It's not my fault they incorrectly typed in a customer's email and now I keep getting all their receipts! I broke down and called customer service and they cannot delete my email because it's not my profile. This is some ring of hell that the company will not fix. I keep getting emails and they will do nothing to correct it. I have never shopped with them. I don't want emails from them and they will not fix it. The manager should be filed. He has no customer service skills. read more

They demanded my email at checkout. I said no and was told they couldn't complete the sale without it. I thought this was odd but reluctantly gave it. They immediately either sold, traded, or gave away ALL my personal information. The next day and everyday since, I have been flooded with spam e mails and spam calls. Went to go return shoes and my son who has a learning disability was spinning the wheel over and over again. No one asked him to stop...instead, the manager rudely commented that she needed to get away from the wheel (because it was annoying her). We will not be returning to the store. Wanted to buy my daughter some air max's for school. We live in Oregon and found shoe carnival online and since Idaho is just next door it felt safe/reasonable to order online. I found a super cute pair for her and grabbed myself a pair in the same transaction. They arrived on time and her pair was perfect. I could tell my pair had been worn as they were already laced/no paper inside when I opened the box but no biggie- likely just from someone trying them on in the store. So I started to re-lace them the way I like them and that's when I noticed the loop on the top of the tongue that holds the laces in place was completely ripped on one of the shoes. So, I emailed the customer service department for remedy and sent images immediately and that's when I quickly learned who I was dealing with from a professional stand point. Three emails in and "Gurjant" kept demanding more photos. I had documented the damage in each communication but he still kept saying he needed "more images" before elevating my claim to corporate. I finally satisfied his photoshoot demands and he offered to exchange them. Great. I replied asking him to send me a pre-paid shipping label and a replacement pair and once I had them in-hand I would send the damaged pair back. Since they can't re-sell ripped/garbage shoes, I felt there was less risk on their end compared to me sending the shoes back while they still had my money based on the shady customer svc I'd experienced thus far and I didn't have a lot of trust in who i was dealing with. Shocker, Gurjant declined this exchange. Wanted the shoes before sending out an undamaged pair putting all the risk and burden on the customer for an issue that was their fault to begin with. Once I read that I told him I just want my money back. I'd send them the shoes for a full refund and go purchase an undamaged pair somewhere else but I wanted him to agree to a refund in writing while copying in his supervisor to which I've yet to see a reply. I've spent too many minutes out of my life that I'll never get back trying to just get this company to take ownership of their mistake and make some good-faith effort to remedy the issue that was their fault. I'll never buy from this company again. There's too many great stores with decent people representing them to deal with a dumpster fire like shoe carnival. read more

I'm pretty sure, as a guy, I'm not all that qualified to comment on a 'shoe' store, but my wife and I stopped in here today and the deals they had were pretty amazing. A pair of fashion boots were here for about half the amount of a very nearby sporting goods store. Selection seemed pretty good for all types of shoes, and all employees we engaged in conversation were very friendly. read more

Excellent service and great prices on brand name shoes. I can't believe how great the service was here. I walked in the door and was immediately asked if I needed help. The woman took me directly to comfortable work shoes and then helped me find shoes in my size. Then came back to check and make sure I was doing ok. As I browsed through the store two other employees asked if I needed help. The woman at the register was also helpful. Plus, I saved $60 on my purchase. I was having difficulty finding shoes in my size (large and wide). I even tried ordering online, but then when they arrived, they didn't fit. I found Shoe Carnival online. I called and one of the associates answered the phone even though the store was not open yet. Since I have to drive a long distance to shop I wanted to ask if they had shoes in my size before driving down. The kind associate assured me that yes, they had shoes in my size. I went to the store and was pleasantly surprised that there were several options in my size and I was able to purchase a comfortable pair of shoes for a reasonable price. I will be back! I signed up for the perks though my text messaging and asked if I could have the $5 dollar off that it says you get! All she did was look at me like I was speaking Chinese. She didn't even respond. My husband and I were disappointed when the Shoe Carnival near Boise Town Square closed. Since we live in Boise proper, having to drive out to Meridian to shop with them was a bit of a hassle, but we're glad we did. My husband is very particular about his shoes and we've tried a number of other shoe stores with limited success so we gave in and made the drive. The store is obviously much like other Shoe Carnivals. Spacious and bright with lots of stock. We placed chairs at the ends of aisles too. We didn't find the staff quite as attentive this visit, perhaps they were short handed, but we still managed to find my husband 2 pair of serviceable shoes for work. The buy one get one half price seems to be a standing 'special' at Shoe Carnival, but if you pay attention to the prices on the shoes you are considering and if you happen to have coupons, you can come out with a bit more jingle in your pocket than you would in most other places. There is ample parking and there are other shops adjacent as well for other needs you may have. Shoes.. of all kinds.. for work, for play, for fun. Shoes for the whole family.. that's what Shoe Carnival has to offer. read more

The worst customer service. I walked in without anyone saying a word to me. There were three employees working and about five customers in at the time. While I was trying on boots, one of the employees walked right by me and still didn't ask if I needed any help. I was in the store for a total of 25 minutes. By the time I was ready to pay one of the girls was just standing behind the counter texting on her phone, I was standing right in front of her...she looked up from her phone made eye contact and continued texting. I have never dealt with such terrible service and I will definitely not be returning. read more
