She even used the treadmill a few times to make sure the shoes were comfortable for running. This place is not cheap, but the service is good and the goods are high quality. As soon as Mark C and I walked in we were greeted by an plesant employee asking how he could be of assistance. I was not in the market for a new pair of shoes but my husband wanted to try out a pair of Hoka Hoka One's which we were told the Glastonbury location carried. While Mark C was outfitted with not just a pair Hoka Hoka One shoes but several other options, I perused the store for things I "had to have". I was impressed with the location's tastefully lines walls and racks containing variety of men's and women's apparel and accessories as well as anything else you might need to make your run possible such as fuel and lighting. In the end Mark C ended up with a pair of shoes and I ended up with some "must have" items (socks and fuel), but I will definitely be back as the store starts getting the Run Club and Pub Runs underway.

The salesman came by to check on us a few times, recommend a few shoes and explain the availability of a wide dress shoe size according to brand. The shoes were neatly arranged; I was able to find what I was looking for quickly. The clearance section for my size had good stock. Usually my clearance section has small stock or a limited number of shoes there, but this time I had as many as the other clearance sizes had. I narrowed down my hunt and had a generous amount of time trying the shoes on. Best of all, their stock of Lifestride shoes was excellent! I found some styles that were sold out at the other Famous Footwears. Upon check out, my shoes were much cheaper than I had thought (they were clearance but rang up for about half the price!) I had a great time shopping here (no lines, good service), and was impressed that the associate was the only worker I saw in the shop (perhaps someone was doing inventory in the back?). Be a Famous Footwear member and get coupons to apply to your purchase (download the app, it's useful!) I had a 15% offer which I used. Once again, Famous Footwear came through for me. Free People only sell woman's items. It's a little store, but it's very tastefully set up and displayed, nothing feels overly stuffed in such a small space. Unfortunately the huge downside is that most items are very overpriced. Just a light cotton top can easily cost $80, dresses can cost up to $400. I like going here to see the way things can be styled, for inspiration, or for an odd time that something might be on a nice sale. I've purchased items here a few times that were on sale that I really like. I have to note the girls who work here aren't the most pleasant, I see them having private conversations and not at all noticing the customers, unless I'm making a purchase then they're ready to say something. Basic customer service skills would be appreciated in such a beautiful and costly store. I do have to bring my rating down to three stars, because of the very high cost and unfriendly associates.
