I had a wonderful experience at this store. Everyone was great, welcoming and made me and my guests feel comfortable. They had so many sizes, styles, colors and designers for wedding dresses. The prices were reasonable, and the material was great. I do not have one single bad thing to say about this place. I had a destination wedding in Daytona (we were going for bike week anyway), I ordered my dress in January and I got it before we left on February 26th. I did not need alterations, and did not have to rush the shipping either! I would give them my business again! read more

I made an appt the day before for myself and 2 other bridesmaids (the bride already had her dress). With less than a month until the wedding, we realized our choices would be limited. While I wasn't crazy about the current dress styles they have now, we were able to find 3 dresses we loved in the colors we wanted. The woman helping us was wonderful with finding our sizes and picking dresses that fit the description of what we wanted. She was also able to order them to come in next week (I'll update if they don't). The cons: Other than not liking many of the styles, I found the dresses to not be very good quality for the cost. $100-$160 plus $20 rush delivery per dress. A good number of the dresses on the racks for us to try on were torn, snagged, or dirty. The sizes weren't consistent and there really needed to be some sort of surface in the dressing rooms so we didn't have to put our clothes on the floor read more

I was greeted by Chelsey who found a different dress for me that checked all the boxes. I came in the following morning to purchase the dress and Chelsey was once again there and remembered all the details of our meeting. Sheri aided in packing dress for shipment. My hometown store had not been as hospitable and accommodating. Chelsey and Sheri restored my faith in David's Bridal and made the experience stress free. Run away! Poor quality, bad customer service and an alteration department that doesn't even know the basics of alterations. After multiple appointments my daughter's dress was still hemmed at 4 different lengths, the bust wasn't done, the dress hook was removed and then but on wrong so the dress won't zip, and they added so much fabric around the zipper the dress sags. They refunded the over priced alterations after waiting for the store manager for 1.5 hours but only offered to fix the hem so it would be short all the way around. They wanted to charge more to fix the bust since it was pinned but not written on the slip originally. I had to take the ruined dress to an expert to do what ever can be done to semi fix it before the wedding last minute. Sadly I couldn't have gotten a nice quality dress somewhere else for less. If you don't know the basics, like both sides of a dress hook should be on the inside of the dress, you shouldn't be working in the field. Since we had 4 appointments before we walked out and went else where, I can tell you they haven't vacuumed the building in over a month either. They were so many strings on the floor I was picking them off the dress after we left. I am glad my other daughter decided not to buy her bridal dress there due to the rudeness of the staff or they probably would have ruined that dress too. Their selection of flower girl and mother of the bride dresses were so bad we couldn't find anything there either. So what could have been a sale of 4 dresses ended up with one overprice, poor quality, overpriced alterations that ruined a dress that can't be returned now. The only help corporate could provide was transferring me to the store to offer to fix her hem. I will never return to a David's Bridal store! read more

I do not recommend this store. The girls behind the counter completely ignored us. Even when we walked in front of the register they didn't acknowledge us. They were very unhelpful, and made me feel like we weren't welcome there. We were shopping for a mother-of-the bride dress. All the dresses were ankle length. There was NOTHING shorter! So disappointing. Then we used the bathroom, and the stall was filthy! There was toilet paper and and hair all over the floor. There was urine under the back of the seat in the women's room. It smelled bad and the trash can was overflowing onto the floor. An overall disgusting store. I will NEVER go into that store again. read more

Made an appointment for my daughter for last Saturday to try on some gowns. This was her first time trying on wedding dresses so we figured David's would be a good place to start. We waited for a brief moment and Lisa came to find us. She apologized in advance if things seemed busy but that every stylist (and the manager) was working with 2 brides at a time. Despite the pressure she was under, Lisa was a delight to work with. She made many helpful suggestions and pulled different gowns for my daughter to try and never lost her upbeat attitude. Although we went in just to try on dresses, my daughter found a beautiful dress and we ordered it that day, and it should be received in about a month. Great job, Lisa - you made our day! Now the not-so-good: The dressing rooms were really small, and a couple of the dresses looked sort of "beat", like *really* worn. I get that they're really just for trying on but they need to look clean and not like they've been dragged along the floor collecting dust. Also wasn't super impressed with the selection of bridesmaid/MOB dresses. Everything seemed to be really traditional, and it looked like there were only about 20 different styles - lots of the same dress in different color. I don't think I'd go back to look for a MOB dress there, but the area was worth looking through. read more

It started when I first bought the dress. I did my research, looked at pictures online, and asked for opinions from the ladies at davids bridal when trying several dresses on. I chose the V -Neck Halter Gown with Slit-Vera Wang. When I first tried it on, I noticed the top part was a little "frumpy" between my chest and shoulders. I was told, "This dress is just the sample one. Once we order on in your size, our alterations team will make it looks perfect." I believed the experts and purchased it. Paid full price for the dress. Booked my appointment for alterations. Get there on time, (10am) and wait for an hour in the dressing room for the seamstress. Finally see someone and tell them I didn't like the way the dress looked on top. I was told "Once you put a strapless bra on, it will look better." My response, "Awesome, do you have one I can try or buy?" Seamstress just looks at me, without even asking my size and says, "not in your size". "Umm...Okay...Great. But your sure the bra will fix the frumpy look?" "Yes." I also say how I would like the dress to taken out just a tad to feel more comfortable. Seamstress does not address it. This is my first time doing any of this so how am I supposed to know what is going on. I pay the $100 or so to get the alterations done. Day of pick up: My appointment is for 6pm. I call the store around 5ish to see if it would be okay if I arrive early due to being done at work. I'm told, "Your dress will be ready at 6." I ask if they are busy today and if I'll have to wait like last time because if so, I would just stop for dinner on my way in. The response I get is, "Your dress will be ready at 6." I arrive on time to my appointment. I put the dress on (with a strapless bra) and it still has the same "frumpy" look. I ask the girl about it and she gets a different seamstress. This seamstress comes out looks at me and says, "Oh hunny...that's just the dress. We hate this dress here. There's no way to fix that." I feel like shit and go put my cloths back on. While doing so, I can hear the seamstress and the other workers in the back saying, "ugh I hate that dress" "it's the worse" and so on. Great...now I'm trying to hold my tears in. I'm then handed 1-1/2 inch of material that was cut off the bottom in a wadded up ball. "Here's your leftovers." I'm too upset to even mention how I wanted the dress taken out and nothing was done. At this point I just want to leave...as I'm walking out, I remember there are pictures of bridesmaid dresses on the wall/end cap thing. I stop to look because like I said before, I did my research before purchasing the dress and none of the pictures show the "frumpy" look. Some woman comes up to me asking if I'm okay and if I have any questions. I tell her that I was just looking for a picture of the dress. She said because it's the Vera Wang dress it wouldn't be on the pictures. She then asked me if I'm okay with the dress. I tell her "Ugh.." She reply's back, "ugh???" I tell her how i didn't like how it looks and none of the pictures showed what I was seeing. "Is that the Halter top dress? Yeah we had a girl in earlier today with a pink one and she said the same thing. We can't stand that dress here because of that. There's a reason that dress is now discontinued" Ummm....hello!!!! Not a single person could have said that the first two times I was there??? No. Instead I'm told "yeah we can fix it","we have an excellent team for alterations", "but a bra on"!!! Had someone told me, "we have seen an issue with this dress before", I would have just gotten a different one. It just sucks paying almost $350 for a dress that doesn't fit right and I feel horrible in it....then to go on the website and see that it's now on sale for $50. Just a big slap in the face. I thought going here, I was going to be working with experts...not someone just looking to make a sale. read more

I was so conflicted about doing this review and what to give. I'm rounding the 2.5 I want to give to 3 stars. Let me explain. My first stop here was with a friend who needed to look for a bridesmaid dress for a wedding she was going to be in out of state. Wait, this is a lie. I bought a bridesmaid dress here for a wedding I was in in 2010, but I don't recall that experience so it's not included in this review. Ok, back to more recent visits. My friend wanted me to come help her, but I had just gotten engaged, so what do I do? Of course I book my own appointment to look at bridal gowns while she looks at bridesmaids dresses. This was my first time ever trying on wedding gowns. I tried on maybe 10. Found a couple I liked, and felt the woman helping me was too pushy. She was urging me to order the dress I liked the most, because it could take up to 7 months to come in! She was too pushy, I mean I decided to never go back to look at bridal gowns because of this. Now, 7 months is a long time, right? Sure it is, but I had at least 15 months until my wedding. So, there was no sense of urgency at all for me, so that pushiness to get it ordered totally turned me off. I went to maybe 5 other dress shops and found my gown elsewhere after this experience. But it doesn't end here. My fiancé and I came to look at bridesmaid dresses and buy swatches because we were trying to narrow down the colors for our wedding. We got guava and wisteria swatches, and settled on these colors. Told our Sola wood flower vendor these were our colors and showed these swatches to everyone. Now, went to where I ordered my gown and they didn't have a color close enough for bridesmaids dresses, so I ended up bringing my bridesmaids to David's to find dresses for two reasons. 1) The dresses are cheaper than they would have been at the shop I bought my gown, and, 2) The dresses come in our exact colors that we picked here! Now, we had only one person working with us to grab dresses for FIVE bridesmaids. Some of them would have tried on more dresses, but you can only do so much with 1 person looking for dresses and sizes for FIVE women. So, we did the best we could and everyone found a dress (different styles, I just wanted them long and in guava). Two girls pay, all is fine. The third tries to order her dress and is told it's not available in guava!!! We were already here for hours and I couldn't have everyone wait and starve (since we were going to lunch after) to start at square one because one dress wasn't available. So, we ordered the dress in a different color. I was not at all happy that we thought the dress was in the color and size we needed all along, especially after 2 girls had already paid and ordered their dresses. A month later I decided I wanted everyone in guava so we just went back and tried again and ordered another dress in guava, so it's done now. All dresses were under $200, possibly all under $150 even, and that certainly wouldn't have been possible where I bought my gown, so if money is a factor, this may be important to you. Another recent visit was with my mom and future mother-in-law. The appointments you book online for this is only 30 minutes. We were basically left on our own for a good portion of the time, with my future mother-in-law wishing for help that she wasn't really getting. My mom is pretty independent and comfortable browsing and finding what she wants to try on, but not all people are this way. I felt a bit uncomfortable trying to help my future MIL find dresses in her size that met the criteria she thought she was looking for, but I had no choice. I didn' want to be there with them all day so I started looking and showing her things in her size with long sleeves. It was awkward. So, again, this visit was all about money. I didn't want to bring my mom and future MIL to the shop I bought my dress at because they may fall in love with a dress that's $1000, and well that's just not a risk you take here since nothing was over maybe $259ish in this section? So, if you want to save money and not pay top dollar, go here! If you aren't pinching pennies and want better service? Go elsewhere. Not the worst thing ever, but not great either. Check it out, you'll see. I did call and speak with Jackie before our last visit to find a new guava dress for the fifth person in my bridal party who had initially ordered a dress in another color, and she was helpful and encouraging that we'd be able to find what we were looking for! She made sure to check in on us while we were there and answer any questions we had, and I definitely appreciated that! read more

I went here for an alteration appointment for my sister in law. She had a 1:00 appointment and they didn't start her alteration until 1:40. They said they're short staffed. When we first got there we were told they were running a bit behind and that it would be a minute. If it's going to be forty minutes I would like the communication that it's going to take that long. They really need to hire more people for the weekends. Also, the bathroom was really dirty. The employees we dealt with were very nice, but they need more help. read more

I found my dress in mid-July. The person who helped me find my dress assured me that their alterations team could do quick turnarounds on alterations and booked my alterations appointment. I recently had a death in the family and called their alterations team to to see if I could possibly change the date of my alterations fitting. After a long hold, the alterations team let me know they couldn't do my alterations in time for my wedding the date I had scheduled or any sooner because they need at least a month. I asked if there was any possible way to do a rush job and they said no. I would suggest that you call the alterations team after booking to make sure your appointment is actually doable, even if other employees assure you that they can do it. read more

Please do not waste your time or money going to David's Bridal. My niece had her second fitting last night, let's just say we ended up taking her gown home with pins still in it. We found a local seamstress that hopefully can fix their mess. Her wedding is in three weeks! DB botched her alterations so badly, i can't even list it all. They recommended that she buy a gown 4 sizes bigger only to charge her $500+ to alter. Then made it too small with a lop sided bust area. Not to mention she can't zip the back and her gowns hem is now too short. read more

I came to this location with probably a week to go before my wedding (last minute bride). Like many other brides this year I canceled bigger wedding plans and instead opted for something simple and intimate. I was able to clearly communicate my vision to Carmen who helped me find a beautiful dress that was not only under-budget but also appropriate for the change in plans. She was friendly and helpful - helping me share the moment with my mother via video call. Alterations were done by Nghi who gave me advice re the adjustments and explained prices clearly. She was very personable and great with a less traditional entourage (my 10 yr old son). During this process, a big storm hit and power went out throughout the area. Jackie went out of her way to contact all the brides including myself to ensure receipt of our dresses. She personally brought my dress to another location to be finished. I was truly impressed with this level of customer service. Everyone at this location was phenomenal through a stressful time! read more

I didn't love the environment here. I scheduled an appointment and decided to bring my mom, future mother in law, and best friend along to get their opinions. I was expecting to be able to have conversations with them and get their thoughts on the wedding dresses I liked. Instead, the pushy saleswoman kept butting into the conversation. She would make comments when I tried things on like, "Oh that is SO YOU!" And it really turned me off, because she barely knew me. That's why I brought my family. Because they do know me. I narrowed it down to two dresses, but still didn't completely LOVE either one. The saleswoman then brought MORE of their salespeople into the dressing area to pressure me. Before I knew it, about five other David's Bridal workers were there, all telling me that I should say yes to the dress and that this particular dress was "So you!" I had to ask them all to leave and give me space, so that I could even hear the opinions of the people I brought with me. I just felt very pressured and uncomfortable. On top of this, at the end of the visit, I asked the woman who was helping me if the dress I liked was available online. She lied and said it was not, and that if I did order it online it wouldn't arrive for 10 months. I went online, added it to my cart, and their website said it would arrive in two weeks. I believe she lied in order to get commission. After this experience, I found my DREAM dress at a super cute boutique in Glastonbury. I highly recommend that you go to a smaller store with a more low-pressure, personal vibe. You don't want to be pressured into buying your wedding dress; you want it to feel easy and uncomplicated! read more

I have looked and looked for bridesmaids dresses, but a lot of them were either fugly or overpriced or fugly and overpriced. I wanted to do local, but with my bridemaids being on a budget and all of them different sizes (including one woman's size), I was not having luck finding one. Even though David's is a chain and has bad reviews on Yelp, I have found that the dresses were more tasteful than a lot of the other wedding retailers and e-tailers online. They also have an array of sizes, colors, and styles. However, I scheduled my appointment first thing in the morning and it was very easy going. This places gets crazy on Saturdays and expect your stylists to be working on other clients too. Our stylist, Shatoya, was very calm and not pushy at all. My maids all found short lace dresses in different colors (one in blue, one in pink, one in gray, one in biscotti) and different styles (two strapless, two haltertops). I was very happy for my selection. The appointment was last week and I just got an e-mail that one of the dresses came in. This review is subject for an update because all of my dresses need alterations. read more

i have used the alterations department for my daughter twice and both times was a stressful experience. The first time the dress was not ready two days before her prom. The second time I went back twice to have a belt sewn on a jumper only to find out they did not do it both times. I will not be going back to get dressed altered with this store. I accompanied my friend here so she could try on some dresses for her upcoming wedding, and while the experience ended up okay (she left with a gorgeous non-traditional rose gold & champagne gown for $250), the store itself is somewhat of a headache. When checking in for her 4:30 appointment, one employee told us (the bride's friends) to grab some dresses that she'd be trying on, never alerting us the the 'policy' of a 5 dress limit for a 90 minute appointment. That didn't happen - we had more than 5 (though not an obscene amount), and she took about 2 minutes trying on each one, so we sped through the process. The appointment started half an hour late, and I felt bad for all the employees trying to juggle tons of brides, their preferences, and and their entourages. All this is to say -- if you can snag an appointment that isn't during a weekend, you're better off. There's a nice selection, and David's has definitely stepped up their game even in just the last few years since I was dress shopping for my wedding. read more

Worst experience ever! I will never go back. I scheduled a fitting to be measured and help find a dress for prom when we got there we were told we would need to wait for the women to help assist us. When she finally came over she told me finding the dress was trial and error. She had an extreme attitude whenever we tried to ask questions or for help. This was not the way I wanted to be treated when I'm going in the store prepared to spend hundreds of dollars on a dress I was going to wear once. The women should be fired not only for her snarky attitude but also for the way she treated all of the heavier set customers it was overall disgusting we were there for no more than 30 minutes and decided to leave because in no way were they going to get a penny out of us. Went here for hahas after going to Alfred Angelo's and thinking I found the one. Service was excellent. The rep actually went in a different direction then what I had selected because I wasn't too crazy about the ones I tried on. She ended up picking out the one and I didn't want to take it off! I went back several months later to pick out a bra. I ended up getting lipstick on my dress! (Totally my fault). My sister and the rep calmed me down. I decided to take it to a dry cleaner. They wanted to charge me 300 to clean it!! I went to another place and they wanted to charge 150. At this point I was in a panic and called Davids. They told me to come in. When I got there the manager gave me a hug because I was visibly upset. The alterations manager took care of it and they didn't even charge me. I am very glad I got my dress here. read more

Had an appointment at David's Bridal for 12:00. Arrived about 5 minutes early behind one other party with the same time appointment. They had us all wait around the wedding dresses to browse before a stylist was ready for us. So the group ahead of me goes first, and a few others groups shuffle in. I'm standing waiting. All those groups get helped while I'm still waiting. One of the stylists notices me standing for a bit, and asks if anyone's helped me. I say no so she lets the other associates know. She then sees me still standing there and tells me she'll let the manager know. It's now been thirty minutes of my hour long appointment where I'm standing and waiting. I let the person who tried to find someone for me know that I was grateful for her help, but I'm leaving. Just as I'm walking out, someone comes up to me to help me. I told her I was sorry, but I've waited too long and I was leaving. She asked if I wanted to reschedule but I'm tearing up and apologize and leave. Terrible experience. read more

Please save your money and yourself... these dresses are very poor quality and can be found in Amazon and Ebay , exact for 90 % less .... David's Bridal is the fast food of dress stores, I tried them 2x to give them a chance to redeem themselves but they let me down !! This is all smoke and mirrors. I would go there to find a dress, take the sku# down and order on Amazon. This goes for all accessories too, a head piece there 400.00 on amazon 10.00 same thing. I am from NY I know my fashion !!! Also they put you in a bigger size so they can alter it and charge you more than the dress cost, Dresses can be altered by a local dry cleaner or seamstress. I had an appt in the Manchester David's bridal last week, at the time, I had already bought a dress from a different establishment but wanted to try on others just to be sure. During the appt the store manager, April, was AMAZING and super helpful. I was looking for "the feeling" for a dress as I felt I still hadn't experienced it, even w the dress I already had. In general, I would say I'm not a fan of David's Bridal. The quality of the products and service is often not top notch. This is why when I was shopping for my wedding dress a few years ago, I didn't even step foot in David's Bridal. Fast forward to today when I need to be fitted for a bridesmaid dress. Upon walking in the store, you check in at a reception desk. I didn't make an appointment because I figured it wasn't necessary. The store was incredibly busy and I was starting to think maybe I should have made an appointment. However, Lindsay was incredibly helpful and got me in and out in no time. She found the dress, a couple different sizes for me and then ordered the dress for me once I found the right size. I mean the service wasn't incredibly personalized and thankfully my sister was there to zip up the dress, but Lindsay's help made the trip relatively painless. A few things I find strange about this place.. No mirrors in the dressing rooms... No measurements taken for bridesmaid dresses. BUT I didn't pick David's bridal for my wedding so I went with the flow and had a pleasant experience. read more

Let's just say, I've had numerous bad experiences here but won't finish posting this review until I pick up my bridesmaid dress. Back in January, I went to try on my bridesmaid dress for my friends wedding in Utah. The woman was nice and helpful (probably the only one in the store) and told me I could wait to order. So I did, but then come February, the dress had been sold out online which made me a little nervous. I called the Manchester store to ask if I could order the dress from the store. This is where it starts to get annoying! So I was on hold for a good 20 minutes before I hung up and called back. I was told that they just opened the store and I should call back later. Umm...what???? You don't staff enough people in your store to greet probably one customer and answer the phone?? Also, it can't be THAT busy at 11:15am on a week day. Finally after my third call to the store, I was able to order the dress. I was told I would receive a call 4/21 when my dress were to arrive. Hello May 2nd! No David's bridal call back!!! I pick up the phone to again call at 11:15ish and get the same mumbo gumbo about it's too early and the store just opened so I can't help you. Which, the woman on this call was incredibly rude and short with her responses. After being on hold for another 5 minutes, she finally asked what my name was and then came back saying "nothing is here". I'm thinking to myself, great, these people also don't know how to place orders. Then she said again, call back later for someone to research. I replied, "no" and get me a manager. That must have indicated to her she needed to do something in her job because she then asked for the brides name and found my dress. I know this is a long review but this place must not have managers that teach the value of customer service. I will never step foot in a David's bridal again if it's my choice. First of all, I went there because I was getting married and they had a lot of ads on Facebook and other places about their $100 dollar bridal gowns, so I figure why not to check it out. You'll have to call and make a appointment to have their "professionals" to help you one on one. So I called and made the appointment, they asked my email, phone number, address, and dates etc. CAUTION: DO NOT give then the info. Her is why - they never mentioned that they will shared your info everywhere. I've been married for 2 month now, and it's passed my wedding date, I still receive tons of emails and letters for couple dance lessons, tux, salon, bridal party shows stuff. It's not from david's bridal, but the harassing stuff started the second date I gave them my info. I don't know when these ads will ever end. So now, the appointment date, I'm a size 0-2 normally, but let me just say, THERE ARE LITERALLY NO DRESS SIZE THAT ARE UNDER 6, NONE! So alternation for a wedding gown is gonna cost you at least $180 or more. Now, the $100 dollar dresses are like bridesmaids dress in white, not classy at all. The rest of the nice dress, average $1500 dollars. So for me, no dresses fits good at all since they are all huge, as much as they pinned everywhere, the dresses is just not right and uncomfortable. They try to make me buy one, because they told me it gets sold very quickly. But I said no thanks, and left. So if your are on the bigger size, you can go and have a look, they help you okay. But don't give them any info of yourself. read more

Is there a way to give NO stars? David's Bridal is the Costco of wedding dress shopping. It's an impersonal, smelly & dirty warehouse of dresses. Expect your attendant to be working with another bride or bridesmaid at the same time she's working with you. Expect poor craftsmanship. Expect ridiculous alteration prices. If you bring your dress to a good tailor they'll show you how the fabric has been improperly cut - crooked, uneven, unacceptable. The only good thing about this place is the affordability of the dresses - but there's a REASON why their dresses cost so little. Make your day special - go o a true dress shop where you'll be treated well and where the dresses are constructed with care. read more

I went here yesterday afternoon and had a terrible experience. When I approached the counter to tell the woman working there that I was here for an appointment and was early, she looked genuinely annoyed. She had me fill out some paperwork anyway, and then said I could browse the store. Naturally, I began looking through the gowns, picking what I wanted to try on. When the consultant came over and introduced herself she tried to get a feel for what I wanted. I told her fit and flare, and she immediately started picking dresses for me, based on "what she thought I would like" - not even close. After a few minutes of that my mom jumped in and pointed out that there were several I already spotted and wanted to try. The consultant tried to tell me that I could only try on 6 gowns during my appointment. I'm sorry- as a customer I'd like to think I can try on as many dresses as my heart desires. You'd think they'd want me to try on more, in hopes that I would spend the money. In the dressing room my consultant repeatedly talked about other customers in the store that she was helping at the same time- as if I would care. I was already annoyed about the wait time between dresses since she disappeared once I had something on. And she tried to make me wear a slip underneath the dresses which I absolutely refused to wear. I am also confused as to why the changing rooms are so small that dresses can't fit in them. There are no mirrors in the dressing rooms either, so I couldn't see myself in a dress and decide whether or not I liked it until I walked out and everyone else saw it first. I went to Bliss Bridal in Cheshire yesterday morning and had a MUCH better experience there. I do not recommend ever going to David's Bridal. read more

it is what it is. A lot of the designs are very cheap and hideous materials. But if you dig, some of the wedding dresses are very beautiful, and budget friendly. This same principle applies to the bridesmaids dresses. The great thing about Davids is it is a chain, they are everywhere, so when you have bridesmaids all over the country, they are most likely within driving distance. Or you can order online. The service is hit or miss. The lady helping me with the changing rooms was so nice, I wanted to take her home for tea (and she soothed me away from a crying fit). However, the girl at the cash register was too busy looking at pictures on the wall to help me. And then seemed like I had interrupted her by trying to pay. But they got my bridesmaid dress in a short amount of time. read more

Walking into the store at 10 am when they opened for an appointment that you called for days before and telling us we didn't have one....well...it's not a good omen. The manager of the store was abrupt and downright rude to the bride in our party. She told us we didn't have an appointment so she didn't see how she could help us. The bride switched to bridezilla mode and we were quickly paired up with a woman who was taking care of another bride at the same time. So you can only imagine that we did NOT get the personal service we expected from David's Bridal. The mothers were doing most of the running for gowns and helping the bride get into them as well. Yes....I understand it's Saturday and most brides are there to find the "perfect dress"...but this is supposed to be a fun and memorable trip, not an exhausting job. The bridesmaids were trying on tons of gowns in only 2 dressing rooms allowed to them. Then they were kicked out and were told to use only one around the corner! WTF??? The bathrooms were not working due to a flood and it traveled to most of the back changing rooms. The carpet in the rooms were wet and very uncomfortable to try to change in. You actually had to go down the sidewalk and across the street to Chuck e Cheese to use the bathroom...uggh. David's Bridal was far better in Springfield than in Manchester and I will stick to Springfield from now on. At least there the girls treated you as humans. read more

Do not go here. I had a horrible experience when shopping for my wedding dress. If I could I would give this store no stars. I made an appointment to find my wedding dress here over the phone a week before the appointment. When we arrived at the location they had no record of my appointment but nobody to see me (we immediately got worried that this would not go well). Finally after 20 minutes they had someone greet my group. She was apparently being shared between two brides. When I said that I didn't know what dress design numbers I wanted to try on already I got an eye roll and my 'consultant' walked away so we could figure it out on our own. I think her words exactly were 'I'm going to give you some time to figure out what you want.' Isn't that YOUR job?! After 10 minutes we had picked out a few dresses to try on. Honestly, most of the dresses looked very cheap. The worst part was yet to come. There was no room in the main dressing area available (did I say that I had an appointment???) And walk ins had taken spots in this area. My consultant tried to set up my family and I in a HALLWAY with folding metal chairs. My Mom refused to sit in the folding chairs and was extremely upset but I tried on my dresses anyway because I just wanted to get a feel for the styles. When she was helping me get into the gowns, the consultant tried to explain that this is the management's fault and that it happens all the time. My Mom sent a really detailed letter of the experience to corporate at David's Bridal and (shocker) got absolutely no response. I guess they have absolutely no regard for customer service. We walked out shortly after and went to Alfred Angelo and had a much better experience. I know weddings are expensive but do not do yourself the disservice of searching for your wedding dress here. read more

I am actually shocked by all of the negative reviews here. I had an appointment for Saturday at noon. I walked in early with my mom, mother in law and my six bridesmaids. They were a little busy and they didn't get to us until about 20 minutes later. Which actually worked out well because we all got to look through the dresses. Once we were seated at the dressing room (we had the whole area to ourselves with no other brides around us). I told my consultant that i had saved a few dresses to my favorites and showed her them. She came back promptly with about 5 dresses and we started trying them on. She was very helpful with finding the right undergarments and helping me into the dresses. She gave great advice and listened to everything I told her. All in all I was completely happy with my experience. I was not expecting to buy a dress that day since it was my first time trying on dresses. I found several stunning gowns that I loved but ended up choosing one that was just perfect! After I chose it the manager of alterations came over to advise me about any alterations I will need (because I am 4' 10"). She was very upfront with all costs and I ended up purchasing my gown that day! I can't wait for it to come in in a few weeks! Its absolutely beautiful and its a great price! Carmen Senita did her best to find the perfect dress for me in the short amount of time I had since it was an Elopement, she did not disappoint.
