The Red Wing Store in Castleton just brought my Iron Rangers back from the brink like a well timed…read morerescue from the Outer Rim. These 12 year old Iron Rangers 8111 have seen some things, but I brought them in for a re sole with Traction Tred and the results were outstanding. They estimated the work would take 8 to 10 weeks, and somehow returned them to me in just 5 weeks. Faster than the Kessel Run and twice as satisfying. The boots came back cleaned, refreshed, and looking incredible while keeping all the hard earned character they built over the years. The new soles make a huge difference. They are more comfortable, have excellent grip, and feel like the boots leveled up without losing their identity. This is what proper craftsmanship looks like. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly knew their craft. If your Red Wings are in need of a second life, this is the place to bring them. The Force is strong with this store. Mike Cento is a true craftsman. He took 2 pairs of shoes, resoled them, cleaned them up, polished…read morethem, etc., and now they are like new shoes. One of the pairs, my Footjoy Classics Spikeless, stopped being produced in 2009 so I wasn't sure how difficult of a project this might be for Mike. Turns out they look better than they did when they were new! More support, better constructed, and they look brand new. Mike took a pair of shoes that were literally falling apart and brought them back to life, even better than before. These Footjoys look better than anything Footjoy sells these days! Mike did such a great job that I dropped off another pair when I picked up my last 2 pair. And I have about 3 more pairs of shoes that are in need of being recrafted, Cento Shoes will be wear I am taking them. The price is right at Cento Shoes and they carry all the good and necessary shoe care products to keep your shoes in great shape and well nourished. Jennifer who works in the front of the house is just amazing and super kind.
