The heals were crap- it was a long shot for me. But I purchased them cheap and figured why not? I brought them in, they promised nothing, I expected little- and HOLY CRAP- they are gorgeous. The boots look brand new. The price? $80 bucks. Seriously? These boots will now last me forever. Not only are they masters in leather repair, but they are reasonably priced, always open and- ready for it- Nice people. Handmade in America of extra thick vegetable dyed hides these duty belts was exactly what I was searching for. The online store was slick but sadly limited in it's offerings although featuring big,iconic name brands like Barbour,Carolina boots,Schott,Woolrich and Filson. I did order a sturdy work belt and it arrive a bit late but Hank's made good on it's promise to refund me my shipping. Hank's is an good source for work and outdoor apparel along the lines of LL Bean and Duluth Trading company but a bit higher end. I'll shop them again perhaps in another 15 years when this belt finally wears out.....

I frequent many thrift shops in the surrounding areas. This store is the worst I've ever seen! The…read morestore has never opened on time when I was there. She has pulled in 20 mins late, Then (while I sat waiting) didn't unlock the door. She proceeded to slowly comb through the donation boxes people left (still waiting). A truck pulls in and she talk to this guy for another 10-15 mins! Finally, he leaves she unlocks the door and I meander over. Once entering the store the smell was like old wet socks hitting you in the face. Each time I see the owner it's a different personality. There are days that she is polite and then days she does not even greet you. Once as I was browsing the racks, a woman came in looking for a specific type of gown. The owner did not even get off her cellphone long enough to point her in the direction of the gowns! The woman threw her hands in the air and left. The quality of the clothing is below what I find for cheaper at Salvation Army or Goodwill. There are very few name brand items and most items are faded or have severe pilling . I suggest checking every zipper, button and seams as many items I have seen being sold were broken or in need of repair. Her prices should be cheaper for the WELL- WORN clothes she is selling. Overall, prices are high you can buy NEW for less at retail, don't expect to be treated well or find bargains. Call first before wasting your gas, she may not even be there.

This weekend, I got my first (used) kayak! Thrilled that everyone who works here knows about the products they sell and is eager to help others start an activity or upgrade. Very impressed by their willingness to buy back items so you can upgrade to the next best thing. And you can test out all the boats and boards on the wee pond out back. I would pay a bit more for this kind of service but actually spent less than the big box. Love love love supporting a small business! Was crazy busy so we had to be patient but no biggie. My sister gave me a gift card and they didn't have anything in stock that I wanted so they let me browse their vendor catalogs. I ended up getting a pair of Cobb hill boots and my goodness have they held up! I've had to change out the laces, and the heel is starting to wear down but they still look great and professional for winter office wear! Mind you I wore these almost everyday some seasons with a .75 mile walk each way into the office from my parking lot. I'm just amazed by the quality of product that they have in stock. I've never had a pair of dress boots last like that! So because of my great experience we went again to look for shoes for my husband while we were back in the area visiting family (we now live about an hour away). Unfortunately they didn't have a great selection of dress shoes for men, so we didn't end up getting anything. We would have opted to order again but since we lived far away and it would have required us to drive back another day, we didn't. I almost got another pair of boots though (even though I don't need them). The only thing that's odd is how they sit down next to your feet while you try on the boots... oh well.
