During the checkout process I was told that the shoes were not $5, but they're $75 and the manager was not going to honor the price on the box. Corporate did nothing to make things right nor did the regional manager. Why put prices on items if the company isn't going to honor them? Instead they make the consumer play a guessing game of how much they're going to pay.

So while this store looks like it has a lot of shoes, they don't have a big variety. That's okay though because I still found a comfortable pair of moccasins here for a reasonable price. The manager here (Nicole) is especially friendly and helpful, and fast. She is the reason I'm giving four stars instead of three. The store is clean, and the staff are eager to help without being pushy - great leadership here. :)

I now live far away from Hank's but I try to either stop in the store every couple years or order them off the phone.. I have been going to Hank's since the 70's.. The owners are wonderful people and they want to help you.. Some times the store can be very busy..But worth the time you have to wait. I am sorry but you can never close or retire.. LOL

I have to agree with other reviews when trying to consign. I was greeted cordially and I can't…read morefault the civility but not exactly the warmest place. I brought in a brand new wedding gown with tags still on it in a secure garment bag. Before I could even finish telling her what I brought in, I was told they don't consign wedding dresses anymore. I asked if she knew of anyplace that would as I was surprised by this. She said no and sorry. Again, there was no fault in the conversation but it wasn't a place I would really go into again for certain. The reviews are accurate in the items there-I have seen the same at other thrift stores around; nothing stood out in the experience. I have only a problem in that this website does not specify not accepting wedding dresses. This dress is brand new; 3 months special order from David's in a plus size and gorgeous. Perfect condition; I wanted only for someone in my area to benefit from it for a low cost without it running the risk of being handled in a thrift store. I am not certain how it could have been a deficit to the store as the dress is full lace and vintage looking as it gets. However, I couldn't even show it to her before cut off definitively. I agree with the last review when placing consignment up there in everything stated. It seems to be problems only with people coming to consign and it might very well be my appearance as well that made her more reserved although this is only an impression I got and by no means an absolute.
