The jeweler told me there were two ways of doing so and explained what was involved. One way would only cost $50. The other would cost $100+ more (due to the addition of gold). I agreed to pay the higher price. When I received my piece, I was thrilled to learn that there was no need to reinforce/add the gold after all. I was only charged $50 and my ring turned out beautifully. In regard to the negative review from another customer below, I'd like to say that Cunningham's takes a photo of your jewelry whether it is to replace a watch battery for $12 or fix a thousand dollar piece. The online store was slick but sadly limited in it's offerings although featuring big,iconic name brands like Barbour,Carolina boots,Schott,Woolrich and Filson. I did order a sturdy work belt and it arrive a bit late but Hank's made good on it's promise to refund me my shipping.
