My shoes came in defective. I needed to exchange them for an event. NO customer service. NO answer. NO reply to emails. Had to return. Was charged shipping & Handling for defective shoes. I needed to shoes so I chose a new color. Was emailed that that color was no longer available. Had to pick a new color. Finally got someone to answer. When trying to explain my situation I was told by the customer service rep that she was really busy and didn't have time to listen..??? Really... Never Ever Again will I shop here. read more

If I could give this company a ZERO I would. I spent over $400 on 2 pairs of shoes ordered online. I KNEW they would fit because I had tried them on in the department stores previously. However, the pairs that were ordered from their website were sized completely differently. Like a wide vs. a regular. I contacted customer service for help. I have NEVER experience such rude responses. For your viewing pleasure.... I drove to Shoe-inn because the last time I was in East Hampton I bought a pair of shoes at this store. I'm only here for a limited amount of time, and I wanted to replace the shoes with a new pair. I knew exactly what I wanted and I went online to make sure that they had them in stock in my size. I drove to the store and the girls inside closed early. Before 6pm, they refused to sell me the shoes I requested. It was 5:46. There were other people as well that wanted to shop. A nice couple that said that they knew the owners, and that they would be making a complaint as well. The three girls working inside were young and I could tell that they just wanted to close up early. This is unacceptable service. If they are open till 6 o'clock then they are open till 6 o'clock. The last two times I've shopped here I have to say that the service was not good either. So sad. read more

Ah, shoes... I have so many pairs, but I always want more. I adore Shoe Inn, they always have an excellent selection, but are unfortunately out of my price range. And don't expect the prima donnas they employ there to be of any help. If you want the same quality shoes, but don't need them as soon as they're released in stores, then wait until summer and go to the Shoe Inn Warehouse Sale!!!!! I got gorgeous $450 gold Dolce & Gabbana flats for $75! I look forward to this every year, but go early in the day and they continue to put new things out throughout the week. Trust me, it's worth braving the crappy parking, hot warehouse feel and crowds, just either try to wear cheap shoes or keep an eye on your shoes because people are vultures. read more

walked in all the staff sitting on the staircase and scattered like none other when walking in. shopping for wedding shoes they had 2 options and when i asked for a foot measure the shoe store said they don't have any and they'd go off the sizing of the shoes i was currently wearing......i've grown up here my entire life the brothers that used to have a shoe store in this exact building in the 80/90s are probably rolling over in their graves.. i know my size but i want to make sure i am ordering correctly who runs a shoe store without a foot measure!?! Terrible customer service. They charge $10 for shipping, and $10 for return. My invoice for Birkenstocks did not say "narrow,'' but that's what they sent. They refuse to allow me to talk to a supervisor. I'll go to competition like Zappos or Amazon -- wouldn't buy from these folks again. read more

They have a surprisingly nice selection here year-round. Everything from Steve Madden to Missoni. Unfortunately their winter hours are a little wack, but that's to be expected here in the Hamptons. I must say, sometimes the girls working here are bitchy, but there is one who is consistently nice. It's a little cramped, but worth it to find some high-end shoes w/out schlepping to Southampton or East Hampton. read more

I like Shoe Inn, I like the chain, I like their kind of hip/kind of suburban aesthetic. I like that I can find a Shoe Inn on the Main Street of any ritzy New England town. I don't like the UNBEARABLY SNOTTY service in this particular franchise. I was literally glared at when I walked in. "Did I just imagine that?" I whispered to my sister. "No, they just gave us the evil eye," she whispered back. And we smiled when we walked in, I swear we did. We wanted to like our local overpriced shoe boutique! Then there was ignoring. Then there was pure disgust at being asked to get a shoe. Never in my life have I dealt with such uppity salespeople. Oh, I've been passed over and I've been fawned over, but I've never been out and out glared at. Hi, customer service? Isn't that what you kind of, oh, I don't know... DO? I asked who the manager was. Yup, you guessed it, the meanest of all. I like their stuff but I never go in because I can't handle the truly toxic energy of those nutcases. Note to Shoe Inn corporate: Employee screening, please. I've had better service at the Prada store in Manhattan when I entered wearing ratty Converse! If you're hankering for a funky treat, go across the street to LF, where they are totally darling. Love shoes. Shop here often in spite of myself. Don't get to farther town with an upscale selection. I bought a pair of shoes that were $180 including tax. The black die inside the shoe came off on my feet. When I called and was told to speak with the General Manager I followed up to do so. She was rude, surly and I began to feel like she thought I was the problem. No apologies or offers to make it better. Since I wanted the shoes, I asked for a discount on my next pair and was offered a whopping 10%! Businesses that don't care about regular customers suffer in the long run. Owners...be aware - your management and customer service are bad enough to sink you. read more

Ridiculous return policy. I got a pair of shoes as a Christmas gift and they were too small. When I went to exchange with the email receipt, the process was surprisingly complicated and I was told AFTER the exchange that the sale was FINAL. When I expressed that I wished that information was communicated before I paid, the employee told me the store was "doing me a favor" since all returns/exchanges on discounted items are final (The person who bought the shoes originally as a gift had used a 20% promo code for Black Friday). First of all, I'm not sure WHY this should matter... especially since the shoes I bought in exchange were more expensive and no discount was applied to them. Secondly, who speaks to customers this way? Actually, I'm pretty sure I DID the store a favor by purchasing shoes and supporting their small boutique business rather than going to a department store. I would expect MUCH better customer service from a smaller (not to mention expensive) store. To call a sale on $200 shoes FINAL because of a Black Friday promo code applied to the original purchase, is RIDICULOUS, in my opinion. I will not be returning ever or recommending to anyone. Please read the return policy very carefully before making a purchase. You're much better off purchasing from a big retailer like Nordstrom's or Bloomingdale's where their value customers and make the return process easy and fair. read more

i don't shop anywhere with a horrible return policy! i brought a pair of shoes got back to my hotel tried them on and realized they were not very comfortable(thats the only reason why i purchased them) went back right away and they would only give me a store credit - i live in Miami-- so with no other choice I purchased a bag as a gift for someone and they informed me-- because it was purchased with a store credit it could not be returned!! it was a gift!! this was all in the same day! there a way to many shoes stores to shop! their shoes are nice but nothing over the top and with their horrible return policy and will never shop there again... I guess if you live there and shop there all the time and credit is fine..but for anyone out of town/not good.. all stores should at least give a customer 3 day at least for a change of mind! read more
