It felt like he was more focused on justifying the overcharge than actually resolving the issue or taking accountability. There was no effort to make things right--just a lot of backtracking, inconsistent explanations, and what came across as outright dishonesty. As a customer, that leaves a terrible impression. You expect at the very least honesty and integrity, especially when you're trusting someone with your belongings and your money. Overall, the entire experience left me feeling cheated and disrespected. I would strongly advise others to be cautious if considering this place. I honestly don't know how to thank jose! I had a few of my louboutins repaired over a year ago and I was just thrilled with the results. This time I took in four pairs of louboutins to have the protective red rubber applied to the bottom, replace their heel tips and clean the shoes inside and out. I went with the rubber sole to provide some additional grip when I walked. He asked when I needed them and he said he could do it the same day if I needed them. Terrible experience! At first I met Jose and he was really nice. I brought in a brand new pair of Fendi heels that I had purchased two weeks ago. Unfortunately after I wore them once the bottom of one shoe had a defect and the cork was showing. Jose assured me he could fix the shoe and promised they would look brand new. I knew the retailer wouldn't return the shoe since I wore them once already and felt this was my only hope. The shoe came out a completely different color!!! The sole of the shoe originally was brown and after Shoe Lab the sole was ORANGE! I asked Jose to refund my money and he refused. He said that my shoes were a lot of work and therefore wouldn't refund my money. But this was horrible work! No one should say they can do something if they cannot. I was charged $87 payment upfront and purchased a sealer. Finally after coming back twice requesting a refund, he said he'd give me 30% off. But why a discount when I will never return to this place? Honestly beware! First off, this place is overpriced and secondly they cannot handle designer goods. Thankfully, I took my shoes back to the retailer and they refunded me for the shoes. Now that's good customer service! But Shoe Lab horrible customer service and unprofessional. I told Jose I was going to write a bad review and he became so angry and told me I was being filmed and that he can tell Yelp to take my review down. But my pictures are proof of what you will expect if you let Shoe Lab work on your stuff! ***update - Jose responded to my original review and said that my plan was to return these shoes from the beginning which IS A COMPLETE LIE!!! Why would I pay for the sealer if I was going to return the shoes???? Nice try Jose, but you and I both know the truth. To make up a false story because you got a bad review just shows people why they shouldn't come here.
