The Louboutins were in rough shape--both heels had fallen off, the leather was scuffed down, and the red bottoms were completely worn. He made them look brand new. He repaired the leather on the heels, replaced the heel tips, and even restored the red soles perfectly. As for the Harley-Davidson boots, the sole was coming off, and he glued it back on flawlessly and cleaned them up so they look amazing again. What happened... The expensive designer shoes my friend had the Shoe Lab restore were damaged and painted the wrong color. After many excuses and delays we finally got the shoes back. Then, after seeing they were in that condition, we still had to argue for a full refund. The shoes are still damaged. They did offer to fix them, but the job they did was so bad, we wouldn't risk giving them another chance to damage the shoes even more. Here's the full story... My friend paid alot of money for the restoration to be done and we were both reassured they would do a great job. They were also two weeks late. Every time we called to pick them up, we were told that they weren't ready. The last time we called, we were told to come back the next day because they weren't finished. Then he went on to say that they looked great. We told them we would be there to pick them up. When we finally got them, they were painted with some cheap paint. Despite this obvious error, the person insisted he did a good job. Conclusion... Do not trust your shoes with the Shoe Lab. Thank heaven, after a bit of back and forth, they finally refunded us. Highly disappointed in the excuse made as to why the integrity of my boot has been compromised. It's been in their care since June. I'm Just now picking up the boot. Due to their reason; after a month they had to reorder the proper zipper. Then over additional month claims to needed to look for shoe since is was relocated. I proceeded with patience and ample communication. Add Insult to injury, claims they wouldn't had taken it because the shoe is "plastic" . Which would be most of the shoe business. In my history of dealing with tailors and getting shoe repairs, one would had never taken the shoe as quickly as they did with no hesitation if they felt it was beyond their capabilities of proper repair. I appreciate their effort in replacing the zipper. Whether the quality to their "standards" or even the origin of the zipper is sloppy. I managed to keep these boots for years without damaging any parts of it outside the normal wear n tear of the bottom and the zipper that came off the tread. I was offered credit to fix my next shoe. But my trust in this location has been lost. At least a Proper refund of partial money would had suffice. Would had been better customer service. Even when I picked up the boot is was just laying on the counter carelessly. read more
