As easy as we walked in to shop we walked out with 3 pairs of shoes all due to Pablo. He is a great employee he asked what 2 of us were searching for in shoe's and size. He then walks out with 3 pairs of shoes for us to try. After trying them on and another set of shoes to try on in another color we quickly found our pair and rushed to cashier. False advertising- Big 5 On 5/23/24, They advertised a multi-purpose wagon for $55 with a coupon. I went to the 11310 Crenshaw/Imperial store and submitted my coupon to the clerk. He, in turn, called the manager and gave him the coupon he said I would check and see if we have any in stock. I waited over 20 minutes. I looked to the rear of the store, and I saw him talking to someone for about 10 minutes. He said we don't have any. I said let me have the blue one by the door. He said that one is $99. I said since you don't have a D on the day of sale, can't we work out a deal? He said it didn't work line, that I said you didn't have the same multi-purpose wagon anyway. This review is for the manager of this store . Your service is horrible . The young cashier was nice , other than that your management needs customer service training . We just left and was in there for a while , not one person offered to help us. As we were leaving , the guy at the door greeted the other person that came in and asked her if she needed help finding something .I ended mentioned you him how come he didn't offer us help and he just ignored us. read more

My husband went in today to purchase decals as a reward for his pop warner team kids as he walked in a Caucasian male followed him around the store non stop vs offering assistance to what brought him into the store . My husband asked do you have decals ? His reply what is that ? Why even have a big 5 in a black neighborhood if you will accuse every black person as a thief ? I need answers this is not okay we are professional career holders don't judge someone because they are dressed in sports attire . The last time I remember customer service is assisting the customer not following them without speaking . Like most people posted, the store is small which is why it looks like they are overcrowded but I think they probably have the same amount of stuff as any other place, the size of the building my make it looks more crowded than it is. Anyways the staff is really helpful. They do whatever it takes to make customers happy. Dalton who I think is one of the managers helped me the first time. I went to get a Co2 Gun, which by the way they have a HUGE selection of, and I was able to find the one I wanted. I walked to my car to check out my purchase and realized the item was damaged. I walked in and told the girl working the checkout that the gun looked like it had been dropped. She said she could exchange for the floor model which I was okay with but dalton ran back and found me a brand new one in the box. I was ecstatic and I love my purchase. I went back yesterday to check out more stuff and dalton treated me again and asked me how the gun was working so he remembered me from the other day. This time I looked at some folding pocket knives and another person Oscar, he looked like another manager possibly, helped me out. I must have asked him to show me 30 different items in the case. I knew it was probably annoying but he was super patient, friendly, and helpful. As I went to check out he was able to apply some sale prices to my purchases and so I ended up walking out with two folding knives instead of one haha. Awesome place with awesome people. read more

This store was small and over crowded with merchandise! I could barely see what everything or every section was! No one offered to assist me getting what I needed so I just walked around until I found it! I got softball cleats for a good price and shoes strings! The sock were pretty dirty so I didn't get them! They didn't have s huge variety of softball cleats but a plethora of soccer cleats! read more

We called looking for a trampoline that nobody has in stock. Daniel helped us out, putting it on hold and knowing we were driving over an hour he gave us a longer hold time. I went there today 6-6-17 to go and buy some heat pads i needed for camping and as soon as i walked inside the store within the first 5 seconds i was already being directed to where i needed to go will def be coming back here for my supplies and my god that cashier i believe her name was laura was so damn cute! Pretty unstructured store, by that I mean sports accessories such as socks and sweatbands, which is what I went in looking for, are all over the place. That, I had little problem with but when I got to the register to ring up my things was when service turned sour or nonexistent for that matter. I asked to use a coupon and was immediately denied stating it wouldn't work so I politely asked if the associate would still scan my coupon just Incase, she ignored my comment and said it wouldn't work I would need a different coupon to work on underarmour, when I said I'd come back with said coupon she said she'd just give it to me anyway "this time". I tried making conversation and why I was using the coupon (which btw should not be made felt like using a coupon is a bad thing ) but the cashier cut me off 3 times while I was explaining I forgot my wallet and was paying with what cash I had. The cashier had no concern about my story and very rudely, each time I tried to explain, cut me off before finishing my sentence. I felt dismissed. All other associates were kind but this associate was disconnected and needs a refresher in customer service. read more

This is a very small store but the staff was very helpful. I went to make a return and saw items on sale. the manager went above and beyond to help me locate the items I wanted. He would check the back or the computer to locate items. It was late and thanked him and said I would come back another day. It felt nice having employees help you instead of avoiding you. read more
