The cashier was very nice, as was the cashier when I purchased the shoes the previous day. My problem is what I seemed to have witnessed. As I was returning the shoes, I noticed a certain type of family come in and the manager didn't speak but did seem to follow the family for a bit. Shortly thereafter, a different type of family came in, and the manager immediately welcomed that family to the store and did not proceed to follow that family. I went looking for a pair of sneakers. As I walked in, an older male employee and I almost bumped into each other, but he didn't even acknowledge me. We crossed paths and made eye contact several times. He never offered assistance. I found a pair of shoes and was looking to get something else, when once again this man looked right past me and offered assistance to another customer. I decided I wouldn't spend my money there, and returned the shoes before I left the store. I can find comparable prices elsewhere, and won't go back to be ignored. read more

This is a DIY shoe store. If you need a professional shoe salesperson who maybe has a little podiatrist in them, then you need to look elsewhere, maybe back in the 1970s. They have cashiers and a few employees out on the floor who mostly stock and keep an eye out for shoplifters. They might be able to direct you to a certain brand area of the store. Nobody is going to measure your foot for size, go fetch several boxes out of the back and then help you try them on complete with the shoehorn to help ease the shoes on your feet. I have been coming here every so often for the last few years when I need a new pair of shoes. Prices are reasonable and, back when we got the print edition of the newspaper, Shoe Station used to be like Bed, Bath and Beyond with 20% off coupons in their ads regular enough that you never shopped here without a coupon. Selection is pretty good for those of us that are not obsessed with the latest styles. If they have a style you like but don't have your size, then check their website because somewhere in the Shoe Station nation they do have your size and will ship it to you. read more

We visited shoe station again recently and ALL of the mirrors were cleared making it easy to try on shoes and see them without a problem. THANK YOU Shoe Station manager for seeing my original review, responding to my frustration of mirrors covered with piles of inventory and making the mirrors available to use. It an awesome shopping experience! When I asked for help, all of the staff was incredibly willing and hard working but I especially loved that I found a manager (Ariel) out working the floor alongside employees. She helped me with their 12 days of Christmas specials saving me a ton on 3 pair of super cute summer sandals. The aisles had plenty of inventory but it wasn't an impediment to shopping. It was so great that I came back with my niece the next day to shop for her Christmas list item of work shoes. Vionic leather tennis shoes were on sale from $109 down to $35 and another brand was marked down from $140 to $35. Both are brands known for their support and comfort but they usually are excluded in their coupon so it was really exciting to find such deals and give my niece super high quality shoes! With great sales going on and mirrors so accessible, I ultimately bought 5 pairs of shoes for less than $100. IKR?! I love how hard they were working to keep the store clean while people were messing it up as fast as they could...I found it hilarious that they were working so hard to keep up with customers discarded try on's that they put my personal shoe away on the display. It made my day to have a good laugh! It was fun, they are very clean, organized, and as always, the selection was awesome. One other thing stood out as a huge positive. Ordered a pair of shoes online, hate shopping in-store as with large feet i got limited options. After a few hours of waiting i called to asked when they would be ready for in-store pick up, 5-10 minutes, perfect drove 30 mins to get there only to be told the website is inaccurate and i ordered shoes they sold out of yesterday and my order had been canceled before i even called, stood in store for 10-15 mins before they could even locate my order in cancellations. Didn't even get an apology from the lady who cancelled. the man who got notified of my situation minutes before was kind and apologized for the inconvience. read more

If you are a true "sneaker head" looking for style-oriented wear, you will not find your shoes here. Shoe Station is home to more family friendly comfort or running type of shoes. They are good about sending coupons often, but I usually get better BOGO 50% off deals for a similar type of store at Rack Room across town. I have not really interacted with staff really, so I cannot speak to that. If you like Simply Southern attire, they have a small selection as well as purses, socks, and some other accessories. They have more men's and women's shoes than kids shoes. read more

My friend and I were just in there yesterday and once we realized the employees were avoiding customers it was almost fun seeing how fast they could run away when we turned the corner. Seriously, the customer avoidance was pathetic. It was frustrating that I couldn't get any assistance, and this is not a store I'd want to purchase from because if I ever had to take anything back, it would likely be a nightmare. I love the selection at this store. Love the brands and variety of shoes/sneakers, purses, backpacks. Well stocked. My only concern is the staff is more concerned with stocking and other things than they are with helping customers. Won't stop me from going there. Cashiers are very friendly and helpful. I just left there and my grandmother was trying to ask the cashier, Donna, a question about coupons in the paper, and before my grandma could finish asking, the girl interrupted and said, "We don't have coupons in the store." Well we already knew that, so if you didn't interrupt, then she would've known the full question. You don't interrupt people in the first place, and you definitely shouldn't do it when you work in customer service. read more

As soon as you walk in there they greet you by the doors and will help you immediately if you're looking for a certain shoe, boot, etc. the staff members are very respectful and polite and all they want to do is put a smile on your face and new shoes on your feet. Watch out for this retailer! I bought a pair of shoes online from Shoe Station. They were beautiful shoes that unfortunately did not fit. Following their specific directions, I returned the shoes. They were in their original packaging, with receipts, never worn. Shoe Station never refunded my money. read more
