Nice facility and most of the staff were helpful enough. One guy, however, basically accused me of trying to steal from them. I picked out a range bag and pistol case as my wife and I were looking around. My wife needed to use the restroom so I waiting in the shooting area just outside the restrooms at a table. While I was waiting I looked through the bag and case to make sure they were what I wanted and that there were no QC issues. My wife came out and we went up front to pay where we encountered a rather portly dude with a mustache and a Jersey accent (think Guido the Killer Pimp 35 years later) leaning back on the counter... He asked, "What's in the bag?" I'm a little confused so I pause and say, nothing. He says, "It's that heavy empty?" (...not sure how he was able to gauge its weight). I said I guess so and opened it to reveal the shoulder strap and three pistol pouches that come in the larger bag (included for the $98 price). I blew it off but got pissed the more I thought about it after we left... I'm a 22 year veteran with four tours under my belt (two combat) and some greaseball is gonna basically accuse me of stealing?! I won't go back... way too much competition in the market. Came in durning regular hours of operation the first time to use the 100 yard range and they gave me trouble about using it. Then came in another time to use it again and they wouldn't let me use it because they "closed it for the day". Staff is rude and short with customers. I wanted to like this place... honestly, I did. But their policies are offensive and I will never set foot in the place again. Here are a few examples. Obviously, this is a place that deals in firearms and shooting sports. However, as soon as you approach the front entrance of the building, you are greeted with a sign that says, "ALL firearms must be cleared and checked before entering the building." Maybe this won't bother you, but there's something that bugs me about a business that lives and thrives under the protections of the Second Amendment denying legal concealed carriers from entering their building unless they disarm themselves first. Especially now that we are based in a state that recognizes Constitutional carry. And, don't think this is something that happens at every firearms dealer... I've walked into many other dealers in the Central Florida area and NONE require me to give up my right to concealed carry before I enter the store. Even more egregious... they don't recognize the prices they post on their very OWN web site. I was shopping for a Holosun red dot and checked out Shooter's World's web site. The store in my area is a good 30 minute drive for me, so I wanted to see if the one I wanted was in stock and available at the Orlando location. I was happy to see that it was and had a decent price. When I arrived at the store to purchase the sight, it was a full $60 more than the price advertised on-line. When I mentioned this to the sales clerk, she told me that "they don't match the pricing from their website." Seriously? You don't respect the pricing on your OWN site in store? This was not some third-party site like GunBroker, this is Shooter's World's own site. And, no where on the site does it say that the prices reflected on the site may not reflect the prices you'll pay in store. If it was only a couple bucks, that's one thing... but to post an on-line price that is a full $60 less than walking into the store ($399 in store vs. $339 on-line) is ridiculous. It almost seems like bait-and-switch, first because I was using the site simply to confirm that what I wanted was in-stock before making the 30 minute drive to the store, only to find out I would have been better off simply ordering from home and having the item delivered (even with added shipping, the item still would have been nearly $50 cheaper to buy at home). Unfortunately, these kinds of business practices come off as sleazy at worst and clueless at best. I've never used the ranges here (simply because of the drive distance and I prefer outdoor ranges) and they may be fine. But their sales practices and lack of respect for legal carriers will force me to take my business elsewhere. From now on, I will continue to take my business to Florida Gun Exchange out in Daytona. Yeah, it's a half hour longer drive than going to Shooter's World, but they truly respect the Second Amendment and legal concealed carriers, and when I look at their inventory and prices on-line, I know that is what I will pay in the store. So I took the magazine holster back for a refund. Ended up finding a better one at bass pro. The 2nd experience at shooters world was worse than the first. So I bring back the holster and original receipt in original packaging. Requesting a refund. They tell me something has changed with their system. They can't give me a refund, only a gift card. Whatever. I will just go buy some bullets I tell myself. So I grab a box of Hornady's and go to check out. I hand the gift card to the same associate that I got the refund from like 5 mins earlier. The bullets were more than the gift card so I expected to pay the difference. I swipe my card and the full amount goes on my debt. The associate forgot to use the gift card. It was literally in their hand the whole time. And since their system changed. I can't get a refund. So I still have the gift card and I was swindled out of more money on already overpriced bullets. And all I wanted to begin with was a refund. At this point I'm legitimately frustrated. I ask to speak with manager. I stand there like a jerk for 15 minutes no manager in sight. I just walk out and I call over the phone to speak with the manager. Every extension you select tells you that nobody is available. You can't get through to anybody. The associate's are a joke. I really wish it wasn't the case because they have a nice range. But I cannot bring myself to spend anymore money in this place after such a bad experience. Been shooting for years and this place is just a hassle more than anything. Shooting ranges are dangerous and have a potential to be deadly. There has been many incidents that have happened at ranges. How can you trust your life to such incompetence. These people don't have a clue what they are doing. Ranges should have trained professionals. This place employs a bunch of high school graduates and college students working part time to pay their Netflix and cell phone bill. Shooter World off Kirkman Rd near outside Universal Studios. It has plenty of parking spaces and the facilities is huge. You have two floors of indoor shooting experience. The first floor has all various ammo, with a range of popular handgun brands. The center has a circle of handguns and AR platforms to try the grip. This platform is helpful for those shopping the a new gun how the fit with their hands. Past the ammo and guns you have the shooter registration. The shooter registration has ammo, targets, waivers, and 15 to 25 yard ranges. After shooting you have spot for gunsmithing, game saloon for shooting, and snacks. The staff was very helpful explaining the process and helping new shooters. Upstairs has longer ranges with 50-100 yards. I saw room for private classes, AR guns, and a great spot for private party event. Prices and packages vary on price. Nice large gun store with large range area. I took my girlfriend there to teach her basic pistols. Even though they have many lanes, many of them are left empty for whatever reason. And it's not because of social distancing because many occupied lanes are adjacent to one another. Since I came from out of town, I started her off on a .22 rental. I was told that when we get our 5 minutes warning, I could come out and extend my range time. So we took our time. After a while, I went out to exchange the .22 for a 9mm and went back in the range. Within 5 rounds, we were given the 5 minutes warning that our time is about to run out. So I went out to extend the time. However, I was told that they won't extend my time because there's a line. I said that you told me just an hour earlier that I can extend and that I just exchanged for a new rental and bought more ammo to shoot. The guy just said sorry and won't honor what he told me before. So, I went back in and basically did an ammo dump because they wanted to get us out. Nice looking store, nice gun rental selection, nice range, but BS on lying to us. If they had said that they only do 1-hour slots and that we couldn't extend our time up front, then we would have managed our time accordingly. We would not exchange the rental gun and bought more ammo. IMO, if you're going to tell your customers something, best to honor it. read more

This place is absolutely amazing. There are guns as far as your eye can see. My wife and planned our visit for weeks since we both work a lot during the week and have weird schedules. We were so disappointed to arrive and not be able to get into the shooting range. The day we went their systems suddenly went down. We waited for over an hour and no one even apologized or came to us to update. The staff was just leaning back on the counter on their phones. I went to the counter once to see if they had an update and they were visibly annoyed by me asking for an update. I work in customer service and totally understand this things happen when you least expected and sometimes you don't have an answer or an ET of when the issue would be resolved, but empathy is free! Everyone saw how excited we were when we got there and checked in. I never expect anyone to do anything for us when there's an issue, but the least I would've done if I were the manager was to apologize and maybe invite us to return another day with a small discount. That would've meant a lot. We were so frustrated that we just left. Very very disappointed with how that was handled. Maybe they don't need new customers? I just wanted to say thank you to shooters worlds for helping me get my CCW Certification! Although I know how to properly load and shoot a gun I was still nervous to take the class. I also had to reschedule it a few times and each time they made the process really easy and even sent me an update email to confirm the update! CJ and Mike were amazing at explaining everything to us. I wish I would have signed up for the membership that Mike explained to us but he gave us information that allowed me to sign up with my boyfriend later. CJ was really fun and made the class easy to follow. It does say the class is from 9 AM - 1230 PM but I didn't get out the building till around 145 PM - 200 PM. Once CJ was done with the explanation of how the gun laws operate in Florida we were taken to the shooting rooms. You are asked to shoot in a specific area 10 times, with a break in between to reload the gun with the remaining 5 bullets. read more

We enjoyed the range located in Orlando, fl. It was very busy, we visited in Father's Day. I would recommend going earlier in the day like before noon as it gets very busy in the afternoons. We were able to bring our own pistol to shoot and gear. It was affordable to rent the lane we paid around $40.00 for the hour. They have an option of switching out multiple firearms for a little extra. It starts cheap and gets pricey if you using multiple firearms and a lot of bullets. I have been a member now for 1 1/2 years. I belong strictly for rifelry and have only ever used the 50 or 100 yard ranges. When you join, you are led to believe those ranges are available for your use during business hours. THEY ARE NOT. They lease out the 50 yard range M-F until late afternoon to various govt/ police agencies and it is UNAVAILABLE to PAYING annual members. .Being a local, I have no interest in fighting the weekend tourist gaggle. IF the 50 yard range is down for maintenance, then our cops get to play on the 100 yard range and IT is then unavailable to paying members. Also, management told me today (16 Nov) that the 100 yard range is very often not available before noon or 1pm due to lack of personnel (range safety officer). So, with membership, you are DEFINITELY NOT getting what you are paying big bucks for., But, God knows, the cops need all the practice they can get. Pretty scary watching them shoot. Just arrived to Florida from overseas and decided to check this place out. My first impression was it is big, clean, and isolated away from heavy traffic with only one way in and out. You can see it from the highway which is always a friendly reminder to stock up on gear. Walking around they had a nice display set up for those looking to get a feel of handguns without viewing it behind a glass case. You just walk up and grab the one you like and hopefully someone that works there will come around and assist you. I walked the entire facility, was greeted twice but never offered any help. This place is very busy with the main attraction being the indoor range as well as classes. Decided to go up to one of the employees behind the counter. Sharp kid, enthusiastic and offered information on CCW classes and some Florida laws. They didn't have the guns I was looking for and ready to buy. So I just bought some boxes of ammo instead. If you absolutely have to have ammo then buy here but their prices are unreasonable. You are better off buying from a small business with a personal relationship than these guys. If you know what you are looking for you may find it here but expect prices to be a bit higher than where you would find elsewhere. I would come here to entertain my friends visiting from out of state to use their ranges. But not much else. If you have the money to burn then my post shouldn't matter to you. But if you're looking to build a working relationship to purchase everything you'll need this might not be an ideal place to do it, though they do have most of what you'll need. read more

Came here for the range with my dad and boyfriend. They allow you to have 3 people per bay. They are transparent about their prices which is nice. They also have a clean open shop before you go to the range. Inside, there is an officer who does monitor and clean the shell casings on the ground. There is also an electric shooting range. It is in a saloon so you get to aim at different bottles and replica. You should definitely come check this place out if you want to shoot your gun or the guns they have here. read more

I haven't been shooting in a while...when I say a while I mean like 5 plus years! Some friends and I thought it would be a way to have some fun, learn some stuff and socially distance. After finding out they have a ladies night special that includes a free lane every Monday night it was all systems go! The process is a little tedious and slow to check in but understandably we had a large group and we were trying to decide on what guns to rent as well as targets and protective gear. The range is well air conditioned and there were two guys working the lanes. One even took our picture! Overall, the experience was neutral coming here. The staff, at least the ones I interacted with for the most part, were amazing, helpful and went above and beyond helping us out. They really carried the rating on this review. Few things stood out that prevented a 5 star: 1. There are military branch flags outside..... but no military discount. Driving to the location that is the first thing you see outside the building. It really gives the wrong signal. All places I've seen that have the flags out or have some sort of military related sign/symbol offer discounts.... Shooters World is the first one I've seen who doesn't. Weird. Military discount is a bonus but not needed, so no reason to give a wrong impression for the business. I suspect it's just a corporate tactic, still dumb. I can't recommend to my military/vet friends. 2. Not allowed to shoot steel cased/russian/failed magnet test ammo. That's alright, store/corporate policy? No issue. But they sell Tula branded ammo, that can't be shot at the range...... What? I get you need to make money and steel cased ammos are a cheap option and what most people used for AKs but come on. Selling ammo that buyers cant even use at the range? Do you know how expensive non steel cased 7.62x39mm (one example) ammos are? The logic blows my mind. 3. We got checked out by someone for the range. After paying, the dude just left. Didn't tell us anything. The fact that there is a queue. The fact that we get a text once we're next and what lane we go to. A receipt, maybe? The man just straight up left. I was dumbfounded. I wasn't even mad, just straight dumbfounded. Glad that someone helped us out about a minute after since we were just standing there confused. Like I said in the beginning, the staff, most, was what carried this review. They were kind, answered all our questions, very knowledgeable, and took their time with us. Probably won't go again due to the first two reasons. This is one of the nicest ranges I've ever been too. They were super busy the day I visited and couldn't imagine they ever not being busy. There was no wait though so that was nice. The range is on the expensive side when compared to others in the area. The thing that I like is that each range has a range guard that is armed and knowledgeable. They had a lot of new shooters/tourist coming for the experience. I was put on a range that seemed to only have experienced people which is nice. The have a 100 yard rifle range which I will come back to use. There is a coffee shop and they have snacks and a nice modern gun shop with all the accessories. Their pricing is not bad either. The thing I like is they have so many different handguns out that you can pick up and check out without handing to ask someone. Makes shopping easier if you want to find that perfect feel. I used to love going here. Common problem I faced was every time I went there something was wrong with the 100 yard range. Attempted using it 5 times in one year and either they never had people to attend it, things were broken, and last time was AC was down along with lights not working. More recently, they changed their policy, which allowed customers to have loaded magazines, in a locked ammo box, which they inspect before going to the range. Loaded mags are no longer allowed. I get the safety piece of it, but don't lie about your policies because some of us actually read them. Instead, I had one guy empty all my mags, and two "managers" claim they had that rule since 2018. Here is a 2023 version of their policies customers MUST sign to shoot at their facilities. Nowhere does it say loaded magazines, in or outside of a locked ammo box is against policy. In fact, such a policy does not even exist!!! I'm a former Chicago Police officer, former member or ranges in the Chicago and Phoenix area, and currently the COO of a law firm here in Orlando. I went to Shooters World after moving here last year and my initial opinion was this is a huge place, great firearm selection, clean, and plenty of range space. Customer service was lacking, but the times I went there were peak weekend times so I can understand it. I signed up for a Gold membership, being that I normally use a range 1x a week, sometimes more. First time I returned to use the range, the second I walked in the door one of their workers (who I believe is a manger) looks at me and yells "The range is an hour wait!". Since when I was sold the membership I was told members jump ahead of the public, and not knowing if she was talking about the wait for the public as opposed to a member, I asked "Is that for members too?", and she immediately snapped back "Yes, that's for everyone." Running a law firm, and being in the service industry I know the importance of a first impression, and when I hire a receptionist I stress to them the importance of their job, and how critical it is to greet clients with a friendly face and positive tone. It's clear to me that Shooters World could care less about first impressions, care less about customer service and they certainly don't care if you're a member or not. There is ZERO advantage to a membership at a place like this. So a week goes by, and i give this manager/employee the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe it was a bad day for her, and I go back there to hopefully get some guidance about a firearm I purchased and had sent to Shooters World (had to use their FFL for the purchase). I simply wanted to know the process and waiting period I had to adhere to once the firearm arrived at their facility. I walk in, and there are seven (7) employees standing together at the front counter talking, and not a customer to be found. One employees asks if they can help me, I inquire about the firearm that was delivered, and that same manager turns around and opens with "well did we call you and say your firearm was ready to pickup?" in a tone of voice I haven't heard since being reprimanded by my high school teacher (a nun btw) for walking in late to class. I replied that they have not contacted me but I would like to know if I could leave a sight, grip and other attachments to be put on the gun before I pick it up. She snaps back, mind you with 6 of her employees watching on, "well the guy you need to see isn't even in to sign your firearm into our system and no you can't leave anything with us." I got the impression that she is big on swinging her d*ck around in front of her employees, training them on how to give horrible customer service to people, members or not. Bottom line is, if she worked for me at my firm, and treated a client like that, she would be looking for another firm to work at. Horrible customer service is what I think about now when I think about Shooters World. I'm one of the nicest men you could ever meet, and I've never treated people like that, but now I'm thinking when I go there, because I'm stuck with this membership another 11 months, I'll be a complete jerk to everyone that works there, since they're being trained by a manager to be the same way. My Chicago will come out, and maybe they'll get a taste of the dish they serve every day there. That female manager needs a new career, at a place she can be happy, or at a place where she's not forward facing to the client. This was definitely the largest gun shop/range I'd been to. They had multiple ranges. Signage throughout the shop was slightly confusing (a sign states preowned guns were upstairs- really they are scattered though out the store). Staff was kind of rough, but I guess that's what's expected at a gun shop. Read your waiver carefully! If you are a Middle Aged man and you check you are pregnant, they do not allow you to shoot- because you should have paid closer attention to the waiver. The range supervisor we had was super friendly and took his job seriously. Make sure to wear closed toed shoes or they give you plastic shoes coverings- which I don't understand what that really protected my toes from. They had a nice selection of guns. Currently the full auto experience is unavailable due to COVID. All in all- I prefer my home town gun range. But this was a nice activity to do on vacation. We did a family trip to Shooters World (5 brother in laws). We did the concealed weapons class. It was taught by Roger. Class was great, educational, and the instructor made it interactive. We then went downstairs to shoot on the 50 yard range. Spencer was our safety instructor while shooting two fully automatic firearms (machine guns). We had a blast. What made it so great was the staff. Spencer was awesome. It didn't hurt that he was also a Marine! This place was amazing. Shooters World has a clean, professional, and most of all a safe shooting facility. We will return again!. This place would be great for a company event, team building, or even a date nigh. It is not your dark and dirty gun range. It is exceptional. . . in my humble opinion. read more
