Today was my first visit to Shooter's World since moving back to Arizona and I can't say enough about the great customer service provided by Austin. Not only did he provide an array of lighting options for my rifle, but he took the time to mount the new light kit and assist in several peripheral purchases as well. This is a great indoor range, especially if you become a member. Memberships are absolutely worth it if you frequent the range often (I would say a must to reduce the cost of normal hourly lane rentals!) My wife and I use to come Friday night for date nights. As members, we would reserve our lane and have fun for an hour! No hassle, no waiting on lanes, and the staff was mostly pleasant. As with any range, you get folks in there that aren't the best at handling firearms but the staff was there to quickly coach/correct. read more

What a joke. They wouldn't sell me ammo because I was with my wife, who happened to not have her ID on her. Mind you, I was buying, and I had my ID, but because someone was in my party, they wouldn't sell. Umm, what? There are plenty of other places I can spend my money (and with my wife or even kids with me at that). Horrible service = Lost business. Update: Hi Chris. It was definitely this Shooter's World location. I even offered to have my wife wait in the car, and the guy said that now that he knew she was with me, he wouldn't sell me any ammo. I normally enjoy this location but this last time my girlfriend and I walked in and wanted separate lanes, normally we share one, but this time I had brought my new red dot sight and wanted to zero it in and take my time. wanted to get her own lane so I didn't hog up all the time. they charge the same price for two people for one lane or one per lane. I wouldn't have minded waiting but was flat out told sorry we can't do that. we both had our own gear so even if the lanes were split up, not next to each other, we would have been fine with it. the lady didn't say we may have to wait a bit, it was just a flat no, but if we had walked in separately we would have been no problem. I don't see any problem putting us separately when we frequent there quite often. we ended up leaving because they absolutely refused to let us have our own lane!!! not very good customer service in my opinion read more

I've taken some world class training seminars here (traveled from VA for them) and I have to say that Shooter's World is top notch in ALL aspects. The facilities are amazing, the employees are helpful and respectful and make it the safest environment possible, the selection of gear is great, and the owner was helpful in all ways. Great facility and merchandise. I wish they would figure out a better way to call your name out or shoot (no pun intended)you a text to let you know the range is open. It would be nice if they improved their PA system and called for you rather than writing you off. It's a waste of the customers time and should be easy to improve with modern technology. With the new tablet system you implemented it should be automatically set up to send a text when you're next in line. I hope this is helpful and we can avoid people loosing their range time spot. Otherwise, staff is friendly and overall it's a fun experience. read more

Update: 12/8/2020 Travis, (thanks, Andrew for passing my discount up the chain) one of the buyers at SW called me a day later and asked me to bring the gun in to look out and test some rounds. They are going to work with me after the recall repair comes back. We will retest then and go from there. I will update in a few weeks. ******* Some of the staff is wonderful (Cassandra) as far as gun knowledge. She is really knowledgeable and helpful. Gun and ammo prices are pretty pricey and all of the ammo we bought there recently is not great (Fiocchi 9mm). Recently bought a new M & P Shield EZ pistol and the day following went shooting 180 rounds, the gun jammed 12 times. Gun was stuck closed. NRA instructor couldn't believe it either. Two weeks later, I find out said gun has been recalled. SW didn't let me know about the recall. I found out online by accident while searching for an airsoft gun! Concerned, I called SW immediately and tried to exchange this for the regular Shield due to the issues and recall, and of course SW doesn't let you do that (In their FAQs, it states that they do make exceptions on some returns). I called and left a message for the manager and never got a callback called again and got a worker who left a message for the manager. Never got a callback. Then I called and spoke to Andrew who took my information and said he would call me back after speaking to his buyers about my situation. He did call me back but said they can't take the gun back until I send it into Smith and Wesson for the recall repair, and when I get it back then they'd be happy to give me 40% for it. WTH? Can't ever reach a manager and all you get is the runaround. Always a wait there also. Super disappointed as a first time buyer, and I'll be buying my next gun and ammo elsewhere. read more

I frequently visit the Peoria location.....and I always experience awesome customer service and friendly employees. I love how they support shooting NFA items on their range (suppressors and machine guns) without any hassle. I have yet to have nothing but a positive interaction with all of the employees here. I went in for ladies night with my mom and sister. The first man who helped us was great he recommended two guns for us and showed us how to use them. This was our first time shooting a gun so we were clearly a little nervous. When we got back there, we all decided that we would feel more comfortable if an employee came back and showed us one more time how everything works. A man came over and had a attitude towards us, and acted like it was an inconvenience for him to come over and help. He was very rude and not helpful at all! I wouldn't recommend this place if it's your first time but if your a pro it's probably good for you. read more

Well I'm very disappointed in their customer service. I've bought 3 guns from this shooter's world in the past and was going to upgrade to an AR-15 or a shotgun. They had a full staff and I was looking at the guns at the counter. No one bothered to ask if I had any questions or any interest in a firearm. I waited at the counter for 35-40mins. I hate to make this a racist thing but I was passed up twice by other guys who weren't brown in ethnicity standing behind me... Totally not acceptable. My money is just as good as the next person. The majority of the staff was to busy having a hen party with each other... Instead of focusing on customer service. So I'll just take my money elsewhere... They lost a loyal customer and a commission from a sale from me... read more

I bought a one year family membership for myself, my wife and my son. The whole process of purchasing this membership was easy. I have had the membership for a couple of weeks and made reservations for two ranges for myself and my son, given we have a family membership. Today (7-3-20) I called to make range reservations for myself and my son. The manager (name unknown) answered the reservation phone and tells me the "family" membership only allows for the reservation of one range at a time. When I told him this was never the case in previous reservations, he told me the workers who reserved two ranges for me were wrong. I complained that when buying the family membership (3 people), we were never told the limitation on number of ranges that could be reserved. This may not be a big deal for others but it is a super big deal for me. Had I known this when buying the membership, I probably would not have bought it. The manager has given me the option of cancelling the membership with a full refund. I am considering it, Other than this issue, I am satisfied with the business. read more

Overpriced ammo and rude customer service are a bad combo take my business elsewhere when there are so many options out there

Okay... first time at shooting range. The good thing was we didn't have to schedule an appt. But the wait time was over 2 hours. Additionally, their people need some customer service skills. If I need information, don't refer to someone else that can help me. They informed us that the range coaches would help once we were inside. But at no time did any range coach assist us. The only time we talk to him was to ensure we were pointing the gun down range at all times. Nevertheless, we were able to figure things out and finished what we set out to do. Lastly, we rented a rifle & shotgun, but had to buy their ammo... $10 for (5) shotgun shells!?? What a fricken ripoff!!! Will never return to this range!! By the way, was ready to spend $$ on some awesome rifles they had until I found out their prices for the range... I understand the price increase on ammo, but that is ridiculous. read more

The place is decent and just a basic indoor shooting range. If you're a member you'll get some perks. Paying a company to enjoy my 2nd amendment does not sit right with me. Love this place for many reasons. Well, for one it's only about a mile away from where I live! I like to shoot here unless I need to sight in scopes or any long range shooting (25yd max), I will go to Ben Avery for my long range shooting. They have a nice selection of firearms for sale including used firearms. Little pricey for me, but I buy on-line now so you can't beat those prices. I did buy a used Springfield XD-40 from them about three years ago and I thought it was a good deal and the pistol still looks and works like brand new. I do however use them as my FFL transfer when I do purchase a firearm on-line and so far every time has went flawlessly. The staff has always treating me and my family great and are always willing to help you out with any of your needs or concerns. Even though I have never done it, they do rent firearms there and have eye and ear protection there also for you to use. They also sell ammo there if you did not bring any or you run out and you want to shoot more. They also offer training classes there from beginner to advanced shooters, along with a really great CCW certification class which is where I obtained my conceal carry permit. This is the only class that I have taken there and it is great! At the class they help you fill out the paperwork to send in to the state, and they also do all the fingerprinting there as well. Anyway, you can tell I'm a big fan of this place, but they have done absolutely nothing to make me feel any different, so five stars it is! read more

I went to the store last month inquiring about M&P. The woman showed me their website instead what they have in the store cabinet. It's really weird and I never have seen selling gun using a tablet. The next following week I stop by FX store and in my way out I stop inside shooters world and ask the man if they have an ammo for 5.56. He said they only sell to their own Customers. I guess I'm not a Customer. This people want to be in business but don't have the ability to provide good service to the Customer. Shooter's world has a vast selection of firearms that you can buy but also before purchasing one they also have a nice selection of firearms that you rent and practice indoors, from revolvers to ar-15's. No eyes and ear protection? No problem, they got you covered since it's included in the range fee. Dope right?! This is the first range/gun store that offers it. I forgot how many lanes that they have but I believe it's within the 20's which is awesome! Bring your family and friends and practice that grouping! read more

Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff at this location. My husband had an issue with his brand new AR (not purchased there) and we had 3 different people helping us to fix the issue. I believe it was the manager on duty who ended up fixing our issue and he was very knowledgeable and helpful during the entire process. He even have us an extra 15 minutes on our time slot because of the issues (once again had nothing to do with them at all) This is our normal shooting location as is but this experience definitely solidified that choice. We always get in quickly and the staff is always willing to answer any questions or help in any way. read more

Like the range and I'm thinking about buying a membership, but my only complaint is, the range is to dark. Although I have different types of sites on my guns, I have a difficult time even seeing my sights because it's to dark on the range. PRICE GOUGING. THEY HAVE DOINLE THE PROCE OF AMMO. I know there is a high demand however it is not a reason to rip people off and that is what they are doing. They wanted 33$ for what usually is a 17-20$ box of ammunition. 6/15/20 just walk in to this place and guess what....stacks of ammo on the shelf but prices are the same so BS from the "hard to find sources" the owner tried feed me. They are simply price gouging and scumbags do that so here we have a prime example of scum. 7/11/20 just went to Cabela's 200 reds 9mm and 200 reds 40 for $109.00. Just left here and it was total chaos no organization really people standing all over the place. Went to rent a weapon to see if I wanted to buy and the young lady tells me I cant rent a weapon to try in their range because I came alone and "there needs to be a second set of eyes on me". Rules makes no sense at all. I asked for rules some other lady tells me to go to the website. I asked was this a safety rule she didnt know just says that's the rules or I could fire alone if I brought my own weapon. Again makes no sense to me but hey it's their business to run how they want to. If I you plan on coming here either bring your own weapon or bring a buddy other wise they wont help you here besides getting you to buy a weapon. read more

Was very disappointed in my gun buying experience at this place. I'm an active duty Marine and have been for over 6 years. I called yesterday to see what paperwork I needed to purchase a gun since I'm an out of state resident but stationed here. They told me just need a physical copy of my orders along with my military ID which I had brought in today. Apparently my orders I brought in were the wrong type so I was not allowed to purchase a gun... I was extra frustrated because I stood in line forever and watched several people walk out with a gun who have clearly not had much experience handling a firearm and didn't know jack about guns then there's me with 6 years in the military 2 in special operations with a CCW permit and I couldn't buy anything... read more

@ Shooter world associat Leroy and. All of them were doing this. Right after they make ppl fill out form they took them straight to counter to pay first. I wanted to purchase a gun so before check background they made me pay and started the back ground check. So I decided to get the gun I wanted at a different shooter world store. They told me all sales are final but if the background check came back I get gun but if I didn't pass I would be charged 20% restock fee. I asked if they could stop and exchange if they could get the one I want shipped from other store they said no it would still be restock fee. Another person working there said no cause all sales are final. Does that make sense or should I take to attorney generals with sold a firearm without background check first? It's all day ladies day, meaning free lanes, free gun rentals (have to buy a box of bullet from them), and free eyes & ears protection gear. Better to go in early to avoid a long wait list. There are also staff available to give some pointers if you are still very new to guns. Quick and friendly service. They also offer CCW permit class and other classes if you want to sharpen your shooting skills. Plenty of gun accessories sold inside. A great place for a date night. read more

Came in to get a rifle lane and waited a little over an hour for a lane then they start letting other people who came in after me go in and when I go to the counter he asked me if i checked it and my name is on the list and he says "oh i just came in the next lane will be open in 20-30 mins" after i've already been waiting. This is one of my favorite gun store to visit. And as always if you come in to a place of business with a sense of common courtesy, chances are they're going to show you the same. Gun shop etiquette it goes both ways. Then there're are those special folks with the gift of charisma and immediately make you feel welcome, and he is none other than a nice young gentleman by the name of Eddi. He's the kind of person you know is just there to help you the best he can, and not just trying to make a buck or is on autopilot.
