Situated on Lancaster and 820 is this oldie, but goodie shooting range. When following turn by turn instructions, make sure you keep your head up so you don't turn into the wrong establishment ( like I did ). Drive through the blue gate to the private parking lot. Once you enter, you're greeted by one of the seasoned and knowledgeable staff members. You can tell that they're used to seeing regulars, but they'll "gun talk" with you, until you're blue in the face if you want. Pricing is much fairer here than other places (see pic). I brought my own guns and ammunition to shoot, but they have a nice selection of firearms to rent if you aren't a connoisseur ;) There's ear covers and goggles (complimentary and required) if you did not bring your own. It is a pretty "tight" place, but the stalls (4/per room) are spacious enough to shoot and reload. I love the digital target screen that allows you to adjust the distance of your target (see pic). Minus the men folk using the ladies room (put the seat down plz -_- lol ). This place is very solid. read more

Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I tried to sigh in on three different nonfunctional tablets. Three staff were too involved with their private conversations to either assist me or check my weapons and ammo. I was basically on my own. With three employees standing within 15 feet you would think one would break from their personal business and assist me. I haven't been there since shoot smart took over. I won't be back. Staff was unprofessional and untrained. After the third tablet malfunctioned. I made eye contact with the closest employee, and held it up. I was promptly ignored. I waited about a minute for the two to wrap up their conversation and actually do their job. When it was obvious that I wasn't going to be helped. I told them that it was not meant to be. As I was walking out the door one stated that he was sorry that I had so much trouble, but never moved an inch to try to resolve the issue. Unprofessional, under trained, and just uncaring. I have fired more competent than your staff. You have lost a customer for life. read more

The range itself is nice. Free rental of PPE.. came here for my LTC shooting portion. While here my streamlight TLR4G had fallen off my Glock without me noticing. Went back in the next day and they would only take down my phone number. Never heard anything back from them. Had it been 1 of there employees $250 light they would of searched videos and everything else to see who took it. Due to this I will never come back here again. I even emailed them and they wouldn't even response to that. I did file a police report but nothing yet... if it's not your don't take it! read more

Let me start by saying this review will be a bit limited as my experience at this range has been in a class setting. I have attended several handgun classes through private training with Defensive Solutions of Texas. So, I have not been to the main range area, nor have I been to the gun shop part. I also have not really interacted with any of the staff, either. Hence the four stars. If I get a chance to check the rest if the place out, I'll edit the review. However, I have been very happy with the area of the range in which the classes were held. They are set up very well, and the classroom in the back is large and can seat several folks comfortably. The range again has several stalls, and plenty of space to move around - you don't feel like sardines shoved in a can trying to get around. It's always clean in all the areas, including the restroom. (Well, the womens anyway - no idea about the mens. Y'all are on your own there, boys. ) There is also a vending machine (just drinks) that has always been stocked when I've been there. All in all, it's a nice environment to get some practice or take a class. read more

This is a wonderful range I visit often. I belong to a women's outdoor and shooting club and this is where we shoot pistol league on Tuesdays evenings. I also did my LTC range qualification here. The Range officers are super nice and always ready/willing to help. There are two separate indoor ranges, one with a large conference room and 10 pistol lanes, as well as a separate retail store. They also have a gunsmith on staff, which is really convenient. The range offers tons of great classes, seminars and partner/couple fun shoots scheduled monthly. The actual retail gun store is located on the same property and is a part of the same business. read more

My now former go-to range in central Grand Prairie decided to cancel their Tuesday-Thursday 2-4pm happy hour for the holidays, a practice that did not sit well with me. I searched the area for another range that offered discounted range time and found Winchester. I was treated like a valued long term customer from the moment I walked in. I met awesome people on the range who allowed me to try some platforms I had been curious about but did not have access to without renting (which is also cheap here too!). I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and when I complemented the staff for their awesome efforts to deliver a premium experience, they went even further to make sure my impression of this establishment was above and beyond. I have found my new go-to range!!!!!!!!!! This gem in East Ft. Worth is a must visit for anyone who wants a premium shooting experience at a less than premium price! read more

Went here to practice and had a good time. Friendly staff and knowledgeable. I suggest going during the week since it's a better price. They carry ammo and zombie targets. What else do you need when preparing for the Apocalypse. read more

I went with my dad and my best friend today. We had a good time. We forgot out hearing protection and eye protection. No extra charge. The targets I brought were too narrow for their hangers. So, they gave us some targets at no extra charge. This was my first time in an indoor shooting range and I liked it. The "fish bowl" feeling of the giant window between the range and the lobby made me a little self-conscious (since I hadn't been too a range at all in nearly 20 yrs). But, I got over that quickly enough. I'd go back. I may try some other ranges before I look at any type of memberships, etc., though. read more

Who advertises in feet when it comes to the length of their lanes? The Shooting Gallery does. Why would you be proud to have two rifle lanes that are 25 feet, cramped, terribly ventilated, and poorly constructed. There's nothing better than watching one of the staff pretend to be "Quick Draw McGraw" behind the counter with a firearm. I don't care if the slide is back and the gun is unloaded, you work at a gun range doofus, you're supposed supposed to treat all weapons as loaded. Especially in the front lobby when you aren't on the range. Finally, don't ask one customer to fix another customers mistake when it comes to leaving items at the lanes. I will not be going back, save your time, money, and frustration (unless you like pretending you're shooting in a fish tank). read more

I like how there are signs telling you how far 3 and 7 yards are without any guessing. They have a plethora of guns to rent and try out. Eyes and ear protection are at no cost. Sweet! read more

I used to be a regular before the fire knocked out the old lanes. In the interim I acquired an AR pistol (300 blackout). They don't have a way to accommodate me with this pistol. No rifle ammo on the pistol range, no pistol distances on the rifle range, the full 24 yard distance or out you go. The only lighting is at the end of the24 yards. I guess I won't be a regular again now that the old lanes have re-opened. read more

No time limit on how long you can stay on the range. There are other ranges in the area that are cleaner and more modern but most of those are by the hour. This place lets you stay there as long as you want. I wouldn't take a new shooter here because you want them to have the best possible time in a modern clean facility but great for when it's just the guys. read more

This is my favorite range. They have a lot of lanes, which is great. 25-yard handgun lanes are a big plus, as many ranges seem to think they're not needed. Separate rifle lanes help with the noise. And they have a large selection of rental guns. The staff is really friendly and helpful. They readily assist and work with customers without talking down to them.
