Update- I went today, and they would not lt me shot with the ammo I had. LOL, The dumbest thing ever heard at a gun range,specially since I had some Monarch 9mm steel ammo, and also brass. They gave me some bs excuse about the steel ammo, and commenced to try to sale me some ammo. I will not be returning ever again to this range. I have found a new range, which I will yelp about. Been going here for 2 years. Awesome place, allot of lanes and very friendly service. They give you free targets. It is ammo shortage, so ammo is high mow. You can rent guns here also. You can also take CDL classes and other classes. Across the street is the store. They have great customer service, and will answer all questions. Nice little range. read more

I've purchased several of my arms from here because of location. There has always seemingly been a racist undertone however I always overlooked it & brushed it off. Today , me and my family went in to the gun range about an hour prior to closing. I walked to the counter , no greeting from the staff , just frowned stares looking like why are you all here. I asked for 2 lanes , 1 guy said they sold their last lane for the day , another guy confirmed. Looking through the window , I could see 4 free lanes. As we were leaving, 2 Caucasian couples got out of their car and went inside. I waited in the parking lot to see if they were given lanes. I walked back in the building to physically verify, and they were indeed signing paper work to get lanes. I just walked back out and left. This company will not receive my patronage again. If you enjoy a segregated community range , this is your place. My family & I felt very unwelcomed and this was an embarrassing encounter. Hope this helps. read more

This is the first place I ever shot a gun! As a peace loving hippie, shooting really wasn't high on my to try list. My brother came in from Colorado however and wanted to go, and the hubs did too. I have to say I had a surprising amount of fun! My experience went like this: I'm scared of the gun, ok, I'll hold the gun, maybe I'll shoot it, hey I hit the target, hey this is fun, weeeee, bang bang bang, *maniacal laughter*, bang bang bang bang bang, we are out of bullets already?!?!! lol. We tried out a few different guns and even shot some zombie targets - good times! The guys at the front weren't extremely helpful to newbies, so I'm glad my brother was with me or I may have been intimidated out of this experience. The range is also pretty small (so I was told) and the wait got a bit long and cramped. Overall though I'd say a fun experience worth trying out. read more

The gun range itself is old, hot (or cold depending on the season,) dirty and often has malfunctioning target rails. The waiting room is tiny and gets uncomfortably crowded very quickly. The range officers are friendly (most of them,) and are willing to help (even if they are not the most knowledgeble.) The gunsmith (in my personal opinion) is adequate for your run-of-the-mill gunsmithing services. The particular smith I spoke with on my last visit tends to tell you 'that's just the way it is and you can't change it' when faced with a request that he does not have the desire to work on (or necessary skills.) The gun shop is nice (a little small) with friendly staff. This gun shop is similar to the range - gets crowded rather quickly. There is a very nice selection of used firearms as well as new weapons. The ammo prices are a little on the high side but other than that it's a great place to browse and buy. Lastly, the parking is dreadful. The parking lot(s) are small and cramped. Considering that this is Fort Worth, Texas and most people drive a truck or SUV the parking is tight and difficult to navigate on a busy day. Unfortunately, this facility is limited in its real estate (with the highway locking them in from expanding their parking.) Over all, I give this range 3 stars based on the good customer service. The retail gun store and the range are in separate buildings. They have all your shooting/firearm needs covered and carry a good selection of holster and cc purses. The Range officers are super nice and always ready/willing to help. There are two separate indoor ranges, one with a large conference room and 10 pistol lanes, as well as a separate retail store. They also have a gunsmith on staff, which is really convenient. The range offers tons of great classes, seminars and partner/couple fun shoots scheduled monthly. read more

I went to the gun range on a Weds nite because I saw on their website the cost of handling a gun would be less for people 60 and above. Guy with cap on at the counter was no help at all. He still charged me the regular rate :( I'm new to handling a gun and don't even like 'em but I need to learn how to use one. I asked the guy what he would recommend. He said, "you just have to choose." Here's a guy that knows a thing or 2 abt guns but yet couldn't recommend one. Unbelievable! This other guy working w/him was just as useless. No customer service whatsoever. In the shooting range, I tried to empty the chamber of the gun. He didn't show me this at the counter. So I pushed a button for assistance. I finally had to knock on the glass to get their attention. Just an awful experience. I called and emailed the mgr abt it. I wanted a refund. He apologized and said he would get w/the owner and get back to me. They never did even after I had emailed them to follow up. If I could give them a zero I would! Don't see how they stay in business. And God knows they don't need to be in business with their awful attitudes, etc read more

I dropped off an old Marlin Model 1893 30-30 rifle . Tony said he would dismantle, clean and test fire for me. He called a few weeks later and gave me a report on what he found. The damaged stock was not even a Marlin stock. It was a Winchester stock that someone had morphed on to the rifle. He was able to find an original butt stock and the rifle looks amazing. Informed me that the rifle was most likely a 1915 production based on sketchy records from Marlin 1915-1921. Very reasonable pricing. read more

I've been here about a dozen times to the range and I really enjoy myself every time. The range officers are always nice and in a great mood. I often see new shooters there as well as advanced ones and everyone seems to get along great. The gunsmith next door (same business) is really helpful and nice. He bore sighted my rifle for free. The employees at the gun store are helpful and friendly. No bad attitudes to be found at all. I would recommend this place to anyone that is interested in the sport of shooting. read more

I called ahead of time because I wanted to rent a specific pistol and try it out at this range, and was told they have it. When I got there, they technically have it, but it's broken, and has been "for a long time". Total waste of time and gas, and the guy didn't even bother to apologize. Also, when I first got there, the guy was very rude, didn't even say "hi" or even a "what the hell do you want?". He just silently handed me the little form to fill out and a pen, without saying a word or even cracking a smile. I left and went to the store to see about complaining to someone there, but they had locked their door a few minutes early, so I was unable to. I went back to the range to get the manager's name, and a different guy at the counter told me the guy we had been dealing with was the manager, and his name is "Q". If their manager is this bad, the whole place must be terrible. Will never waste my time and gas with this range ever again, and I recommend you try any other, much better range in the DFW area. The only reason I even tried this place was because they said they have the pistol I wanted to try, which turned out to be a lie anyway. This is a real shame, because a lot of people who want to learn about guns and gun safety are likely to go to a range, and a place and experience like this will turn them off. We need more responsible gun owners, and this place doesn't lend to that. read more

I bought my Glock there from Mike and had a great experience. They answered my endless questions patiently, and I took weeks to make a decision. They also installed my night sights and did so at no additional cost. I like the gun range, but it can get busy. I prefer the 25 yard range. As to the other reviewer's comment about the steel ammo. I have heard that most indoor ranges do not want steel ammo either. I don't think its a ploy, I have brought my own ammo in as well and never had a problem, but I also don't shoot steel ammo. I really like Winchester Gallery and the Gun Range. The staff is very friendly. read more

Gunsmith Tony is pleasant to deal with. Having used different gunsmiths over the years, they are usually pompous asses. Tony is not. He is polite, appreciates your business, fast, and very knowledgeable. I had a rifle that I couldn't get to cycle and another gunsmith wanted to do some major work on it. I took the rifle to Tony and he had it working perfectly by swapping out a spring. Pricing is reasonable. The range is dark and hot...but picking is reasonable as well. It's not one of those new fancy ranges with private rooms, great lighting, lounges, etc...but it doesn't cost you 40 bucks to get into the range either. Good value. read more

I bought a rifle online and called this place to ask about an FFL transfer. They said sure no problem. I gave them the info and they said when it comes in they would give me a call. 2 weeks later I called them to see if my gun was in and the owner was a total douchebag. He said it had been there a week and it wasn't his job to call me. I am paying him for the transfer so he's not doing this for free. When we pick up the gun he says my gun is a piece of crap and said we needed to call and make sure it was ok to have guns sent there before we just do it. this is where i got my carry license and where I go to shoot all the time. Not anymore. I will never be back and I will tell all my friends to never go there. i have many friends in law enforcement and I promise I am going to put a dent in their business. Let me preface this by saying that I have been to the range several times with the exact same ammo as I brought today. I was told today that I cannot shoot any ammo that attracted a magnet. This was NOT the case before! I had NO steel core ammo but it was military surplus German, Port. & Santa Barbara. The guys there were rude and tried acting like it was a huge issue & when I explained that I had my ammo checked before and it was found ok they acted like I was lying. I'll never go again and will recommend others find another place to shoot as well! read more

This facility is located at the corner Hwy 820 and Lancaster St. in Fort Worth TX. There are 2 buildings. One of the buildings contains the store and the other is a shooting range. The parking area is close to the facility. The parking area is also small but I have always been able to find parking without a wait. I have been inside the store once and the shooting range about 10 times. The store is fairly small but they have taken advantage of every square inch for display. The sales associates in the store seem to have a serving attitude but they are not the type to ask you if they can help you with anything. The pricing of firearms was fairly competitive and a good amount of used pistols. The ammunition is displayed behind the sales counter and is hard to see so I cannot honestly share their availability or pricing competitiveness. I have visited the shooting range approximately 10 times. I have never had to wait for a stall to shoot in. The staff have always been very helpful and pleasant to work with. The facility is very old but they do a fair job of keeping the place clean. The pricing is very competitive at the shooting range. I find the store part of the business O.K. but the staff seem to be a bit lackadaisical with their attitude and attention to their customers. I would recommend the shooting range to any who want a price competitive and pleasant experience to practice shooting pistols or rifles. read more

I just got home from a pathetic gun store. The Winchester Gallery is by far the worst store I have been to in years. I can't remember the last time I was so disrespected. The sad part for the store is that I was prepared to buy four guns and the setups. After saving my money and doing some beginner research I thought I would go down and put my hands on my new protection devices. We entered the store they said are y'all all right. Not exactly sure what that menat but okay. We were the only ones in the store. My 15 year old asked the young lady where their leather goods were and she said over there. I browsed threw the glass at their hand gun selection and then at their rifles. They never again asked if they could help or if I would like information or if I wanted to see a particular model. Big mistake-Huge mistake. I was prepared to buy 4 weapons today. They just missed a sale of around $4000. I'm not sure who own's this store but they just took one in the shorts with these non professional sales people. Trust me...I'll never be back. I'll never send one there. I will let everyone in my network know to never use their services. In this economic environment you should have better sense than to allow a customer walk. Tis place deserves no star. read more
