That lady who we think owns the place was real fun to get to know and we all share the same common memories of Portland in the 90s. As with any shop like this i would think the selection of stuff is subjective and changes often. Today we were impressed by good amount of records, fun cassettes and some great old clothing with some advertising places long gone like the city nightclub. Unlike some other vintage stores, no musky smells here, the pleasant aroma of perfumed candles tickles your senses. Stunning vintage clothing is everywhere. Carefully selected, gently worn, vintage patterns and styles the 50s, 60s, and 70s were known for immediately catch your eye. The day I was there, the dresses from the 60s and early 70s in their mod swirls of yellow, orange & lime green or fuschia, pink & white paisleys had me mesmerized. If Madmen was still in production, the female cast would shop here! There are collections of everything everywhere. Hats, handbags, boots, dresses, coats, incense, jewelry, textiles, bar ware, candles, crystals, ornaments - Workshop Vintage has it all and then some. This place is really cool as yes... it is highly vintage oriented merchandise but we noticed more artsy and crafty items that were for sale too that were amazingly cool. So that added a further unique spin to this place. Also there was a plant vendor too that sold lots of different kind of little cactuses in various colored shades which further enhanced this place.
