We have EyeMed vision insurance. Our policy states a contact lens exam is $55. This place does not offer the standard contact lens exam. They don't tell you they only do the premium exam which is not covered by the insurance and charge the higher price. They charge you extra if you have an astigmatism. Ask about prices before going!

I'm heading back East on Sunday and spent my Saturday afternoon trying one optician after another hoping for a temporary frame for my lenses, which survived the fall. One optician after another explained that the lenses' unusual shape made it impossible to find a matching frame. A few took some time looking and others did not even bother. At my final stop, Eyeglass World, I providentially hit the jackpot. Chris just wouldn't give up looking until she found a near-match for the lens shape, then called in their technician Scott to further narrow the options. He somehow, magically adapted a new frame to my lenses. I was only charged for the frame, a handsome, modestly priced item. This was by any standard over and above any expected level of service, delivered with kindness and no fanfare whatsoever. In the time it took to retrofit my damaged glasses, I had a chance to experience the vibe at Eyeglass World, which was warm and inviting. It raised my already good feelings about Lincoln and its business community by several notches. Thank you, you saved my trip!
