Just drove 20 minutes to come to This specific shoppers store in order to spend a coupon that expired today. checked the hours online before driving out here. It says it was open until midnight. I arrived at 11:10pm flabbergasted to find that apparently they now close at 11pm. Complete waste of my time. Shoppers: please update your hours. read more

I'm a victim of "The grass is always greener syndrome." This means that I'll travel some where out of my neighborhood and see something great. Then complain about how I wish this (insert store or service) was closer to me. So when I go into a neighborhood store, I my expectations are very low. Just so I will not get disappointed and long to live somewhere else. I was pleasantly surprised when I visited this shoppers. I've never shopped here, but I did stop by to pay a parking ticket at the customer service desk before. I just came here on a whim, and I'm so glad I did. Its just an additional 5-10 minutes drive from my home, making it the second closest Shoppers. But, I'd gladly drive her every week for my grocery needs. I'm a semi-vegetarian, meaning that I, for various reasons, cut back on meat. But, I LOVE seafood. I can't stop eating it and would probably die if my body didn't get any for any period longer than a few days. That being said, its easy to see why I spent a good amount of time in the veggie section. I can honestly say that this Shoppers has everything my little veggie heart desired. There were those South American waxy-looking potatoes that I just learned about from a cooking show, all type of Asian veggies, stuff I haven't seen before but now I want to try out and of course, your typical selection of cucumbers, tomatoes and such. I was impressed by the selection of tofu. All types of favors and types. No tempah, which surprised me. The other Shoppers with hardly any vegetarian section even had that. Also there was a good selection of vegan cheeses and mock meats, too. The international aisle was massive. I was expecting a tiny corner like my neighborhood Shoppers. But oh no, this was a regular aisle. In the refrigerated section (actually by the veggies, but it seem to fit in this paragraph better), there was pickled Korean veggies - which I love, but usually cannot find. Their Asian selection was good, large bags of sushi rice and rice noodles, large bottles of fish sauce and rice vinegar and a good selection of spices, soups and mixes. There was even another vegetarian section nice sized bags of different flours (whole wheat, soy, rolled oats, etc), canned and boxed soups, rice, soy and almond milk, etc. Perfect! For this review, I just glanced over the other sections. The seafood looked good and fresh. I noted that jumbo shrimp was on sale and I cursed the fact that I was so broke. Also, I didn't notice that 'fishy' smell that usually comes from the seafood section. I have a cold though. The meat looked fresh, but I didn't really examine that. The bakery smelled heavenly and stocked a bunch of great stuff. And the floral section looked colorful and well stocked as well. read more

Horrible Experience! I had a really bad experience with the Shoppers Food and Pharmacy in Clinton. The store was very dirty inside and outside. I was very disappointed in the store's manager Priscilla. I brought it to her attention and she dismissed me. To add insult to injury I brought potatoes that were spoiled. This shoppers is great! I am here almost everyday. The staff is nice and it's clean. One of my favorite places is their hot food bar, it's inexpensive and delicious, they also have a salad bar and deli that people seem to like. I love a good bargain and in the area this is the best place to go if you want one. read more

The only thing keeping this supermarket from going from good to great is the seafood department. Each time I've gone, you have to wait a significant amount of time before anyone comes around to help you. Once someone does come, they usually don't know the first thing about seafood. The first time this happened, I was informed that this wasn't really their department. The next time, the person didn't even know what a filet was. They were each very pleasant but woefully uninformed. Generally speaking though, they have good prices and it was an overall decent experience. read more

In an area of Safeways and Giants, Shoppers always has the lowest prices. This location in particular is not as close as others but this location gives me what I need. I assume this location must have a larger international customer base because it seems like they take more care in this aisle than other Shoppers stores. Since most of my cooking comes from this aisle I will gladly pass other Shopper locations for this one. Although I was sad they discontinued the discount for using recyclable bags I really enjoy shopping here. read more

I usually don't have anything bad to say about shoppers but they single handily almost ruined my daughters 2nd birthday! I placed a order for a peppa pig cake a week in advance and I called the day before I had to pick it up to ensure it was right. Me and my family go to pick up the sheet cake and it's a plain cake with writing on it! The bakery staff didn't even care it was wrong had no remorse and told me there was nothing they can do. I then go to customer service in hopes they will at least compensate me with cupcakes or something because her birthday party is the next day, and they keep telling me that the store manager is handling the situation while I stand at the front for over 20 minutes. Eventually we just left so if you are thinking about purchasing a custom cake from here please don't!!!! read more

Just a word to the wise : Make sure you count your pills before leaving the drug counter. Chances are you will find you have been shorted. When just getting as few as 30 or less you may get the full amount. Anything over 30 you may be shorted. I have been shorted on 3 to 4 different Rx's almost every time. These are not "DRUGS" like get high type, they are for blood pressure - diabetics - heart. When called they take great offense but I also take offense because when you need 4 a day to live and you are shorted 20 pills that means 5 days without med. The pharmacy is very indignant and rude so beware. I know 12 people in my neighborhood and 6 friends that started counting and found they were shorted too. read more

This store is poorly stocked. I should not have to go outside of my neighborhood to get my groceries. I have gone in this Shoppers 2 times this week and both times they did not have everything that I needed to prepare a dinner meal for my family. This is a big in convenience and time consuming. This store needs to do a better job taking care of their customers needs. read more
