It's fine, although I think the other two Shop Rites in the area (one in Cinnaminson and the one in Cherry Hill on 70) are a little better. This was my go to store but the Burlington, Cinnaminson and Hainesport Shop Rite's are better places to shop... I've never had any major problems with the staff at this store and for the most part they are very friendly and helpful... I will say this Shoprite lost quite a few stars because the bakery and food kitchens don't make sure that their in store made food is properly sealed with the labels they use.... I have mentioned this to the managers more than once and nothing has changed... The Deli area isn't much better... If you want anything sliced to order you must get here by early evening otherwise you must get their fresh presliced meats and cheeses... They slice these products thick but lately that area hasn't been stocked well at all... The store is clean and well kept... It can be a bit of a problem getting around during late evening because the people stocking the shelves start working... read more

So my visit to this ShopRite was at night, and none of the counters were open. Parking was fine, but considering the windy road leading up to it and the multiple entrances and exits available, it must be much more of an adventure during the day. The main entrance was closed and we had to enter the exit doors. The store was incredibly clean. Things were properly faced, perishables were put away, and the vegetables had just been sprayed down. Even the packages out to be shelved were nearly arranged and basically out of the way of walking. There was just so much stuff - it was well stocked, then stocked with the store brand. Anything you need for cooking or baking, I think it's located in this store! There wasn't much news for service, which is good because only the self check-outs were open. I performed admirably in my two minute roll as cashier, and glad to see not a lot of pressure is required to get the food to register on the packing scale. read more

ShopRite has recently updated the store with new shelving and lighting. In doing so they have rearranged everything on the shelves that make no sense. It's like putting lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig. Out of date items, poor fruit and vegetable quality. They sell this crap for top dollar too. Don't be fooled by a "special" also read the shelf sticker carefully. The now out the SAVED amount in the sticker, not the PRICE...tricky tricky. And if you want to feel like you're a ghost and you can't be seen, just talk to any of the employees. Self check out is a joke. The worker shouts out 25 or less items SIR! I visited Delran Sunday Morning 10/15 around 11:00. I kept going as normal, again 25 or less items SIR! I looked around to see who she was talking too? She looked at me and said it again 25 or less. I counted and I had exactly 24 things, I said I only have 24. She said abruptly that's what they all say . I said to her I can count and that's what I have. This cashier is a middle aged black woman and is always so nasty to customers. I live in this town and your store is chasing your good PAYING customers right out the door. I feel sorry for the school kids that need the minimum wage jobs because they need to attend school. These positions should not be for people that can't apply for a normal paying job. Shop Rite in Delran is a large mix of all types of cultures. Your employees need to be educated in customer service skills before dealing face to face with the public. I am so pissed off right now I am telling my neighbors and friends to not go into your store anymore. I spend my hard earned money here at least 3 times a week. Well no more I'm done. The produce section is pretty nice, and lured me in. The gluten free selection, though, is from 2009. As in pitiful! But it is the pharmacy that is an enormous raging dumpster fire. While the pharmacists are helpful, they are poorly staffed and worked to the point of overload. Making matters worse, their software must be nearly impossible to navigate. My prescriptions there were perpetually lost or incorrect.... Nearly sending me to the ER two months in a row! I can honestly say that my experience with this store has barley fallen short of being life-threatening. They have lost my $10,000 annual grocery business for good. Sad, because this is the closest store to my home, and I so wanted to like them. read more

I've been here a couple times. Not the cleanest of groceries stores but they have a wide variety. I've been lucky enough to get good service every time I come but I've heard about horror stories. Staff isn't the friendliest at times. The hot food isn't the freshest, I wouldn't necessarily recommend having it. This store is awful. The parking lot lights at night are dim and far apart. Very unsafe feeling. Looks like gang warfare. This place would be better suited for an inner city. Employees stand outside smoking and you have to walk through the cloud of smoke to get in. Check all the dates before you purchase anything, most of the time it's out of date. Vegetables are the worst I've seen in any local store, yet the charge top dollar. Most of the employees are rude and really just don't care. I'm disabled and cannot get many items I need in person as I cannot lift them or manipulate them . I used their online service and got nearly exactly one half of what I ordered via their website . I told them I am having a bit of a time and need these items and all above and they told me I was S.O.L. . In the past 6 months I have gotten fruit from them and it has all been , well , gross . The apples were half rotten once I opened the bag and I had to throw them out , and the same with the bag of oranges (I couldn't tell through the orange sack they come in) had gray mold inside and outside of them , so again , trash . This Shoprite is miserable. Most of the employees are mean. It seems that the bad customer service here is a joke among the locals. If a manager happens to find themselves accidentally on the selling floor, they avoid eye contact like their lives depend on it. They have discontinued many name brands and have substituted their new store brands, like Bowl and Basket, and Paperbird, which is hit and miss in quality. Wholesome Pantry is good. The self checkout area is filthy. But the help in this area has gotten more consistent if you don't mind bad attitudes. The parking lot is congested due to a bad design, which funnels all traffic past the front of the store. The prices are decent, but many prices are marked wrong on the shelves, especially the sale tags. If you check the mistakes on your receipt, you will find the total works out in favor of the store every time. Overall, you get the feeling that because the store is busy despite the fact that everyone hates it, they know they have you. This means that you will be treated with contempt. Your presence here is a burden, and you better just take what you get. The two stars are for the location, some of the prices, and the small shopping carts. read more

This is my go-to grocery store. The staff is helpful and friendly, and the store is clean and methodically laid-out. I especially like their pharmacy (ok I love their pharmacy). The pharmacists have gone above and beyond several times for me. Once my (formerly abided) dog's Rx was coming up at full price (over $100 for a 1 month supply). The pharmacist called me, explained the situation, and called her help desk to try to resolve the issue. She was able to help me to get my dog's medicine for a lower price and kept in contact with me regarding her progress. While dropping off prescriptions, I am given an estimated time when they'll be ready, and the estimate is always on point. The bakery is very good, and the deli is well-staffed. Overall, this is a well-run Shop Rite with the great prices and sales that come with the name. read more

I disagree with the other reviewers about this store not being clean. This store is very clean! However, when I came here today, I felt slightly underwhelmed! It did not feel like a grocery store, but rather one of those stores, where they're supposed to be limited, sort of like a King's supermarket. And, I do like King's because I get their vibe about the store being small, with their limited products. However, this store for a Shoprite really doesn't have anything, and it's kind of an empty store. It's not very well stocked. Lots of empty aisles! The produce looked close to rotten! I only got a bag of onions! Keep in mind, these looked like the only produce that did look good. The staff was actually friendly, though as I was checking out, as I had issues putting my cash in, and the worker also had issues too, when helping me! So, not my favorite! I love my local ShopRite in Cinnaminson. I was running errands with a friend in Delran so we stopped at this location due to convenience. What an awful experience! I am in a boot due to a fractured foot. I drove one of the motorized carts around the store. Every employee I encountered got in my way. One guy had his cart blocking the aisle and he watched me turned the corner. He kept looking at his cart to see what I was going to do instead of just grabbing the cart out of the way. I literally had to move the cart myself while on the scooter! I was in line to pay and watched a young man bag the groceries for the person in front of me. When it was my turn, he went to another register. I'M IN A SCOOTER. If anything screams HELP ME, it's that. So I struggled to bag my stuff. I love that shoprite employs all people regardless of disability, etc. but it's a team effort, when the cashier sees that the bagger leaves and I'm in a cart, use common sense and call one over. Just not handicapped friendly at all. Then, as I'm leaving I can hear the girls behind customer service complaining about working. ENOUGH ALREADY. Management needs to get a hold of their staff and train them to be a customer's friend. In Cinnaminson, if I'm in a cart, I don't bag. If an employee sees me, they'll ask me if I need help. I used to do my weekly shopping here - now I use the store as an enhanced 7-11 when I only need half a dozen or less items. When the management can only see fit to open ONE cashier lane at 11:00 on a weekday morning, with 6 customers with full carts in line - well, my time is worth more to me than that. Notably, this was not a unique circumstance - it happened to me multiple times at this ShopRite. So now I do my weekly shopping at Wegmans, where cashiers are actually employed, and a customer with a full cart can actually check out of the store instead of being held hostage all morning. read more

It's crazy that Delran and Cinnaminson are only 10 minutes apart but are so completely different. Every time I get sea food here, it's smelled bad. With a mask on, I can't smell it at the counter. I ask if it's fresh , she says yes I take it home I have to toss it. Once with salmon. Once with shrimp. Out of desperation I went again asked if salmon was fresh she said yes, she gets the wrong size. Oh that's the fresh one. I just said never mind. Last night I got some pre cooked chicken. I took it home and it came up shortly after. It's pretty dirty. I know they've tried but I go to Cinnaminson it's clean, it's sort of friendlier esp the self check out. Few weeks ago you did away with the express aisle not people with small orders can only go to self check out As an older person I sometimes can not see the items that I have to look up. My experience today I paid $2.00 more that what the sign in the fruit aisle said. At least if I go to Wegman's they do have a express aisle that has someone there that can help you. Maybe what the management of this store wants is to inconvenience the patrons so much that they go somewhere else. When is the best time to stock the shelves, the management of this store believes it is the middle of the day making it hard for their patrons to move around the employees to try and shop. Have been shopping at this store for 17 years and the last several years I have seen a decline in employee attitudes. Encountered a deli person last year who got confrontational with me. I let the manager know about this, they kept her as an employee for awhile. Found out through a Manager that this employee had a total meltdown in the Deli department and they finally terminated her. I just went to the deli counter tonight and again encountered a rude employee that kept repeating "their hiring" because she did not like anyone commenting on how long it took her to get the lunchmeat orders out. She made the comment at least five times until I finally told her to stop with the comments. I told her she was being rude and she replied "you are rude".She also purposely went as slow as she could in my opinion because she was mad at me. I finally went to get a manager and as I walked away she kept repeating her name as Lisa taunting me to complain about her. The manager said she is going to talk to her district manager tomorrow but I don't have much faith that they will do anything about it. I feel unsafe going to this store and at this point I will pursue a different Shoprite. How sad! read more

Visited the store today to purchase a few items and noticed the expiration date of some items on the shelf. When I mentioned this to the store manager, he simply put the blame on another employee who's job I guess was to check for these things! Store is well stocked. Clean looking, but has a sewer odor (where dose that come from???) Customer service is horrible. They ignore anyone standing right in front of them. And when they do they can't look you in the eye...(am I invisible?) Check all the dates on their food. seems they can't be bothered to check themselves. Don't assume the prices are the best. they are high on many, many items. Also the check out is hit or miss. Most of the cashiers are SO RUDE. They will not bag your food. I had one girl just point to the amount owed instead of TELLING me how much it was, and she didn't bag one thing. Why do the locals put up with this? seems Shoprite has a monopoly here. When they first said they were opening a Shop rite here, I was estastic, the plaza was great, home improvement store one side, grocery store, Starbucks another, Four eyes, etc . It's much bigger then the one by me, but that being said: the PARKING LOT-sucks!!!!!!!! When you enter from RTE.130 N-go in speed bumps, the parking spots are so small, when you have SUV, or bigger cars,hard to maneuver get out space, its just to tight to back out get to the main artery. So I usually just go to the one by me, wider spaces, room to get in & out!!! I do like the inside, specials -typical of Shop Rite customers, I do like the lay out-just getting there-Pure chaos(let alone on holidays) HeLL NO!!!! 3-stars for that alone. read more

Today's visit has to be the topper on the cake of crappy service! Went to check the ground meat "options" beef...pork...to make a lunch. Found the ground pork mislabeled " Porterhouse steak priced $7.99 per pound. Well it ain't that!!! So, being a helpful individual at times... I sought out an employee nearby to inform them they were wrong. The person stressed that they work in SEAFOOD and I was apparently confusing them. I JUST wanted to point out the mistake....that's it. Very poor customer assistance there...should have just said "Thank you I will tell Meat Department" even if they don't care. Other points that make me drive over to the Cinnaminson Shoprite. 1. Lousy parking lot (horrible before holidays, NFL football games and the ever-panickin storm coming assault on the bread, eggs and milk) 2. Seafood department (can't keep people there long enough to know about what they're selling.) dead lobsters in the tank, smelly clams (THEY SHOULD NOT SMELL) poor quality in appearance of display. 3. Produce.....weak ass looking produce. old stuff mixed together with new trying to fool the public. First let it be known I love this shoprite. The layout inside the store is amazing, I never have to guess where something is going to be. When they did revamp the layout they had signs everywhere directing people in the right direction. I never have to worry about anything being out of stock or discontinuing things (because they rarely get rid of something I love) The lines are never bad seeing as they always have enough registers open even on the busiest of days. That all being said I absolutely hate the parking lot. There are three ways in but only two ways out. You have to go to the store front to leave so you are constantly waiting for an opening and you are constantly stuck with people crossing. Also on holidays and a day or two beforehand they shut off one of the entrances so everyone is forced to the stop light. It would lead to a lot less headaches if they could fix this one and only issue! read more

I go here a lot and it is a very busy store. They do have a good section of gluten free products and allergy friendly foods which is a plus. (My son has food allergies) Although their seafood section is gross. I bought shrimp here on two different occasions and both times they smelled God awful and we're slimy. So I shop at this store every Sunday...I used to work for Pathmark supermarkets before they went out for 22 years. Mostly in the customer service area..I was a backup csm and was drilled about the importance of c/s as there was lots of competition. This shop rite has a lot of people that need to be retrained! Their deli counter is the worst..having prices on their board that aren't the right ones and telling the customer (me) that the price is actually higher.. the worst is the board had stayed the same for 2 straight weeks! When I asked, they said they have no control over the board.. that may be, but at least offer me the lower price,?. Their pharmacy also is terrible. Dislike this store immensely. I actually will travel to PA just to not go here, even though it's 5 minutes from where I live...unless it is an utter emergency and something I can't get at Wawa. First, the parking lot is ridiculous. I can't figure out why they would make a large grocery store with only one way out of the parking lot...that's included in a shopping center with a bank, Starbucks, clothing store, cell phone store and eye doctor. Utter mayhem...especially on weekends or holidays. Next, the stench that hits you when you walk in the front doors is disgusting...and it is a smell that seems to move around the building. Sometimes it's present when you walk in, sometimes it's back by the dairy section...but whatever it is, it turns my stomach. A putrid mixture resembling sour mik and I don't know what else. And how does the manager (or anyone working in that store for that matter) NOT smell it???? Really???? Makes me wonder how clean the place really is.... Speaking of clean...not the cleanest or brightest store. Layout of aisles is okay and they have a few things in stock that I can't seem to find elsewhere which is nice. Produce is okay, but there is a much larger selection at other stores. Bakery is okay...fresh made canolis are a plus. Meat looks fresh but did have an issue once with bad chicken that I bought there...otherwise it's all right. But for the smell alone...1 star...because that's just plain gross.
