My family has been coming here since I was a little kid, but unfortunately I just came in and saw the woman behind the counter wearing a face shield and no face mask. (If you don't understand why this is a problem, scroll to the bottom.) so, unfortunately we will no longer be eating here, at least until after covid is actually over. Explanation of various protective coverings: A face mask does not protect you, it filters the air you breath out and therefore protects the people around you from you. A face shield protects you and people you are talking to from large spit particles coming from your and their mouths. While a face shield is effective personal protection from viruses that are transmitted through large spit particles, covid is transmitted via aerosolized particles as well which a face shield does nothing for. Wearing a face shield during this particular pandemic is the same as wearing no protection at all, unless worn in addition to a mask. read more

I have lived 10 minutes away my entire life(40+years). I first went here about 6 months ago and it has been an almost weekly stop since then. Friendly and helpful staff but the real draw for me is the great sandwiches, soups, salads and the best Boost around. I can only review what I have had so far. You can't go wrong with the following: chicken salad (hoagie or as a side), Meatball parmigiana sandwich, Turkey(hoagie or club). Cole slaw, potato salad, and pasta salad all taste like you are at a family BBQ. I have tried the chicken and rice soup which was very good and full of chicken. I also had the New England clam chowder which was full of clams and chunks of potatoes. The next time you want take out you need to give them a try and skip the fast food chain restaurants. First time here - ordered the old world Italian - which was supposed to have Soppressata, genoa, hot capicola and pepperoni sharp provolone and all the other LTO etc. ordered the whole - Roll is not a good hoagie roll (probably from DeLucas which does not make a good roll), There was no capoicola on this hoagie only salami pepperoni and soppressata. Sharp prov looked like crumbled feta as obviously who every sliced it didnt know how to slice sharp prov. The hoagie was a huge disappointment - sadly the roll (and not a good one) was the main component of this hoagie as the meat and cheese was MIA. Oh and barely and hot peppers. Moved back to New Jersey from San Diego, after 20 years. I missed cheesesteaks (pizzas) and hoagies. (Scrapple and a few other things). There, you can't swing a cat without hitting a mexican burrito/taco place. Here, it's about the same for cheesesteak, hoagie and pizza. So I went around and tried a few places around me. Someone in my family said Vids. I tried it, but chose a meatball sub. Fresh homemade meatballs. Delicious, except the sauce is a little heavy with oregano. Ive since then tried Vids cheesesteak with fried onions, ham and cheese hoagie, scrapple/egg/cheese sandwich, pork roll sandwich, corned beef special on rye, and cheeseburger. I basically tasted my way 'back home', grabbed some wise potato chips, a birch beer soda, a soft pretzel and a Jewish pickle. (Not all on the same day). Everything was homemade where it could be. The meat is loaded into their sandwiches and is as awesome looking as it tastes. This is the only sandwich shop I'm going to go to from here out. I have paid the same or more elsewhere for similar food and got less meat and less philly flavor. By far the best deli in Burlington county. Maybe the workers are old philly residents, they remind me of when I lived in philly. (And to the person reviewing Vids burgers, they tell you it takes long to cook because the burger is real thick and needs to cook. It is really good and it's tender. Worth the wait.
