There were also vendors offering food, arts and crafts, and souvenirs for the kids, giving it a great community feel. Thankfully, the rain cleared up and the weather stayed dry, making it easy to relax and enjoy everything the event had to offer.

However, it's proximity to the Nobu hotel and the Noble restaurant is also very convenient. I will say this place is filled with security, which is really impressive and it is sad though that there are quite a few stores in here that are still empty looking for tenants. But if you're looking for super high-end and Neiman Marcus and Lennox Malk doesn't meet your criteria drive a little bit further less than a mile away and you are exactly where you need to be. I was in the square years ago and they were filming a movie here. A lot of popular movies and shows have been filmed here throughout the years. I love that there are good quality places to eat, all in one area within walking distance and ice cream shops too. I also love how friendly strangers smile at each other and everyone is doing there own thing. Sometimes there's music playing throughout the square which makes it a double delight.

This review is for Lindbergh Plaza, the large shopping center in South Buckhead at the corner of…read morePiedmont Rd. and Sidney Marcus Blvd. This shopping center has been in Atlanta for many decades. It underwent a major renovation around 2005. Old buildings were torn down and new structures were built from the ground up. The shopping center was transformed. Gone are the days of Kmart, Eckerd Pharmacy, Piccadilly Cafeteria, the post office, and the police precinct. Today, the big name, big box tenants are Best Buy, Home Depot, and Target. After over 10 years in existence, the property still looks good. It's clean and spacious with plenty of parking. The property is easily accessible on all four sides (Piedmont, Sidney Marcus, Morosgo, Adina). It's not far from Midtown and it's close to I-85, GA 400, and Buford Highway. Since its re-opening in the mid-2000s, other new development in the area has included contemporary apartments (Lindbergh Vista), a QT gas station, The Dump discount furniture store, and the GA 400/I-85 connector ramps. All are nice additions to the neighborhood. Most of my trips to Lindbergh Plaza are for Best Buy and Home Depot. These stores' locations are the closest to my home. Over the years, I've been pleased with the relatively convenient in-town access I've had to these typically suburban-located stores. I've noticed the Best Buy at Lindbergh is the least busy of any Best Buy I've been to. It's less crowded and cleaner. If they charged Cobb County sales tax, it'd be the perfect Atlanta Best Buy. These advantages generally apply to the Home Depot as well, though it's consistently more busy. Lindbergh Plaza consists of two stories. The lower level houses the Target. I prefer Target Atlantic Station to Target Lindbergh even though I believe both stores opened roughly around the same time. Target Lindbergh seems more worn and unkempt these days, though I think that's because the Lindbergh store sees more traffic. Covered parking is available for Target or you can park upstairs and take stairs or an elevator down. A neat feature about this plaza are the shopping carts that automatically lock when taken off-site. The restaurant lineup is unimpressive. It includes chains such as Arby's, Waffle House, and Tin Drum. There's an Italian restaurant, Il Bacio, and a Starbucks. (There's also a Starbucks inside Target, making for two Starbucks cafes on-site.) While there's nothing extraordinary about this shopping center, I appreciate the modernity it brought to the neighborhood as well as beneficial in-town access to some big box brands.

Let me run down the stores: Sally's Beauty Supplies, Michael's, Homegoods, Marshall's, Ross, Hancock Freakin' Fabric, my breasts grew with each new store I was dragged to. Yeah, there's a Bennie's Shoes there, but ever since they crossed Sidney Marcus, even THAT place has chicked up. The women, the womyn, love it. I watched them dart back and forth while the eyes of we hapless husbands and boyfriends would occasionally meet, a moment of understanding and pain before we returned to our broken, vacant, thousand yard stare. The wife cooed over some, what is that? A chicken-shaped tea pot? WTF? And wait, we have to go to Michael's to get yarn? How come we can't just get them at Hancock Fabrics? They don't sell YARN? What do you mean "yarn's not a fabric." They sell fucking CHAIRS. You can't tell me that's a fabric. I may be a guy, but I'm not an idiot! Oh, but you are, dear sir, you are. At Michael's, my wife pointed out an elderly couple. The husband had picked out and was in the process of buying $60 of plastic autumn leaves. My wife expounded, "See that? That guy actually helped his wife pick those leaves out!" "Honey, his wife had 50 years to break him." OW! At least turn your wedding ring around before you punch me! One thing, though. If you're a single guy, I'd be remiss in pointing out what prime territory Buckhead Crossing is. In Michael's alone, you find sorority girls shopping for things to make posters with, MILFs buying styofoam balls for their kids' science fair solar system project, overly romanticized nascent cat ladies purchasing scrapbook materials. It's all there and with nary an alpha male in sight. Just create a believable reason for why a single heterosexual male would be found trolling the aisles (the picture frames are always good as is the line of questioning, "Excuse me, can I ask you something? Do you think my mom/sister/niece would like this?" Oh, and guys? You're WELCOME.) Alas I am no longer single, so Buckhead Crossing is of limited utility to me. I may buy a shirt once in a while from Marshall's, but that's a 15 minute project tops and not a 3 hour expedition. If you're ballsy enough, I recommend either a trip up Piedmont Road to visit Oxford Comics or a Sidney Marcus Best Buy run as revenge. ("Babe, while we're out, I've got to pick something up too.") Keep in mind, as satisfying as this may be at the time, do at your own peril, for hell hath no fury than a woman being forced to wait in a comic book shop. While waiting for my coffee and sandwich, I noticed several paintings on display as part of an art exhibit. There was also a sports bar on the corner that wasn't open this early, but I'll have to come back and check it out another time. This visit to Olive & Pine was definitely a good choice and the breakfast mission was accomplished.
