This place is such a lovely experience. The ambiance is very trendy and fun. We planned a brunch here and were greeted by a friendly front desk staff and security (ID Checker). We were seated for our reservation quickly, and our drink orders were taken promptly. The first spritz was included in our brunch package, but they were out of a couple of them, and they were quick to include requested alternatives such as a mimosa. I was a little disappointed that they were out of their Amalfi spritz, but the tequila spritz was delicious. I also had a mango frozen margarita that was delicious as well. The brunch experience included a choice of entree and then a bunch of shareables for the table. Everything was delicious! Favorites are the giant cinnamon roll, the bacon, the potatoes, and the breakfast burrito. I had the French toast on a previous visit, and it too was delicious, but it is giant and a lot of bread! Service was good. It was a hot day, and they were not overly busy. Service was adequate, but not exceptional. A few of us did not realize that the brunch was prepaid by our friend, so some of us tried to split the bill and paid again since they had the QR code to pay at our table. So our bill was paid twice. The manager said he was refunding those of us who paid, but we're still waiting for that to process, I guess, or figure out if he refunded our friend. Hopefully that gets straightened out quickly! Located right on Lake Michigan off of North Avenue Beach sits ShoreClub. A great beach house restaurant. Plenty of seating from pub tables to round seating with, private patio reservations surrounding the beach restaurant. The views were astonishing! Sitting that close to a waterfront and enjoying a meal is something therapeutic about it and peaceful that you cannot buy! Hahah!! I promise! We ordered a grilled cheese for the kiddo and steak tacos for myself with a frozen mango margarita and frozen Strawberry daiquiri For my babydoll! Booked a reservation on OpenTable and it didn't give any explanation to what we would be receiving upon arrival. We apparently bought an experience that came with a bottle of whispering angels and a platter we were under the impression that we booked at the oasis. So don't be confused when booking online. I would call shore club directly because they won't refund you or transfer the credit over to the club side. Which I also tried to do prior to booking and nobody answered lol the host team never checked us in and called us 4x while sitting. The food was blah. Fries were cold. Shore club is located right in the middle of North Ave Beach, and is very popular during summers. We had booked the outdoor patio for lunch at around 3pm for a party of 6. Although we arrived early, we got a table on arrival. The weather was fantastic, and hence sitting outdoor was relaxing and we felt like we were in an actual beach city. If it's too sunny, you might feel hot if you sit outside. Loved the music that was playing in the background. In terms of food, we had ordered french fries and a Mezze platter for the table. I personally had a plate of blackened shrimp tacos. I had also ordered a fresh coconut which was refreshing. Others on the table had also called for Margaritas. My favourite was the shrimp taco. I finally tried Shore Club on a perfect summer day! My friends and I planned a lake plunge and had a reservation for lunch. I really liked the place--it's right by the beach club and has great outdoor seating with couches, chairs, and another section. It's perfect for a casual day with friends, and I even saw bridal parties celebrating bachelorettes! The service was quick, and the song selection was amazing. For drinks, we had the In Love with Coco, an espresso martini, and the Margarita Tree, which was the best, four flavors: mango, blackberry, classic, and strawberry. The worst dining experience of our Chicago stay. Our server was withdrawn and the service went downhill the longer we were there. We had reservations for 10 a.m. on Sunday and it was dead when we got there, yet for some reason our ginormous mezze platter appetizer came out at the same time as our entrees . . . and the entrees were cold. I had the watermelon mojito salad and another person had the housemade tuna salad so at least those were supposed to be cold. But the baked french toast, two orders of beachside benedict and two orders of salsa verde chilaquiles were all cold. We all left disappointed with the entire experience. We swung by shore club for a nice summery brunch. We sat outside to enjoy the last few days of warm weather. The ambience is very beach and upscale, loved it. The server was very friendly and fast. Came here for a rose on the beach event, bought my ticket in advance $25, but my friend paid at the door they charged $70 for this event, was it worth it for what they were serving no, but you're paying for ambiance here not quality. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the place, it was cute and had a decent vibe. However, I'm giving it 4 stars because the reservation package I paid for didn't feel like it was worth the cost. I paid around $260 upfront for a table reservation that included rosé and a mezze platter. Those items only totaled about $120 on the menu, so the value just didn't match the price. I was expecting more of an elevated experience--especially since we were celebrating a birthday. I was hoping for some extra touches or "bells and whistles," but it fell short in that regard. What made it more disappointing was seeing others walk in and get the same type of table without booking the experience, just ordering off the menu. That said, the food was good--the mezze platter was good, and the shore sandwich was a highlight and perfect for two people. The tower drinks were a bit too sweet for my taste. Not So Greats: There's no A/C so if you come during the middle of the summer be prepared to be a little warm. There are fans but nothing too powerful so we asked to be seated where it was a little cooler and the bar area was perfect for that. Yesterday, I celebrated my 40th birthday at Shore Club. Initially, I was bit irritated because they didn't have my reserved sunbed prepared. Nino I'm assuming had to be the manager, explained it was due to the weather policy. He overly accommodated me by upgrading my rental to a cabana and gave me my first drink on the house. The vibe was very beachy laid-back casual. It was also pretty neat to have the entire Oasis to ourselves lol due to the weather. We were moved inside once it got really bad. Carmina the waitress was just as pretty as me, lol. She was friendly, upbeat and did an amazing job as the only waitress staffed. The overall customer service was great from the waitress to the bartender Hoitz, (who I shared special jokes and laughs with), and even the security guard Rasheed. I had an amazing time and truly enjoyed sharing my day with friends and Shore Clubs staff. I look forward to visiting this spot again. (Nino, my apologies for leaving the rose pedals everywhere. I'll keep this one simple. The food here is really good, and it's an awesome location with outdoor seating right by the lake which is beautiful. I ordered the Shore Club sandwich and it was awesome, although it could have fed a family of 4 so be mindful of its size. Others got the Poke Bowl, the Salmon, and the Chilean Sea Bass, all saying there food was great. The only reason I'm rating 3 stars instead of 4 was the service was lacking. May have just been a one off, but we waited 20 minutes after being seated before I had to go find someone to take a drink order, and after we finished our meal, waited a solid 30 minutes before we found someone to bring us our bill. Came here for an 11 am weekday lunch/brunch? Not sure if this is the same menu that they use for dinner, available at 11 am, but it was fine. Really, not appetizing to see people connected to IVs and getting needles injected while you eat. Food was good. I had the Mikanos board, which was exactly like the description said: pita, chicken, and halloumi. They could've done better to add a little tomato or cucumber to balance the meal. This time I went for their brunch as they have more veggie friendly options. I loved their chilaquiles, but I think they should've put in scrambled eggs instead of Sunnyside.
