How can you go wrong with shore club Chicago? It's on the beach and has tropical decor. Love how it feels here. Good music and friendly service. We had an amazing experience. Food was great. Drinks were perfect. We had the steak tacos, Mykonos board, mojito watermelon salad and lots of drinks. Everything was delicious and filling. Pricey but it's to be expected for the ambience. Check them out. You'll love it !!

Not the best cheesecake I've ever had, but the generous portion, great service, good music, and overall vibe made the experience so much better. Definitely one of those places where the atmosphere adds to the food.

Stopped by Shore Club to grab a bite during a beach day and it was the perfect spot. My friend and I split the chilaquiles and chicken salad, and both were really good. The drinks were so refreshing, especially with the view of the lake

Had brunch at the Shore Club on First Avenue Beach in Chicago yesterday, and it was delish! My husband had the avocado toast and I had the chilaquiles. The chilaquiles were very good, but they had a little too much sauce for my taste. The atmosphere was fab with a beautiful view of the beach. The service was excellent, and the whole place had a really cute, fun vibe, with some zesty music. I would definitely recommend the Shore Club and will absolutely be back. I bet it's really hopping in the afternoon!

I came here for pre birthday celebration with some friends and it was a nice time. Right off north Ave beach so we had a nice view. We started out with drinks and ceviche but I don't remember the ceviche being a noteworthy part of my night. For my entree I ordered the steak tacos which was pretty good, no complaints there. We also ordered a flight of margaritas which was quite delicious. I will say the service at the front felt a bit like I was interrupting something like a vent session or something as one of the persons there felt very short with me when I mentioned I wanted to take photos. My waitress however was friendly and played never have I ever with us. I do think this is an ok place to celebrate occasions, I should have mentioned I was celebrating my birthday perhaps that would have lightened the mood with the other staff members.

ShoreClub was packed! Definitely the beach house restaurant go to for a beach outing with decent food and drinks! Great place for a beach and lunch outing! Located right on Lake Michigan off of North Avenue Beach sits ShoreClub. A great beach house restaurant. Plenty of seating from pub tables to round seating with, private patio reservations surrounding the beach restaurant. The views were astonishing! Sitting that close to a waterfront and enjoying a meal is something therapeutic about it and peaceful that you cannot buy! Hahah!! I promise! We ordered a grilled cheese for the kiddo and steak tacos for myself with a frozen mango margarita and frozen Strawberry daiquiri For my babydoll! Food was decent wouldn't rave about it but it definitely hits the spot! Drinks were strong and tasty! Service was great! Brittany our server was very polite and very suggestive to the menu. The Menu seemed pretty simple with sandwiches, tacos, burgers, noodles and cheese boards that looked appealing! The also had nice drink selections! Shore Club had lots & lots of traffic considering a holiday weekend it was packed! Not uncomfortably but busy rather. Still enjoyed our conversation space and service. Right after, BEACH TIME! Shore Club will be the spotlight for the summer! Check em out!

Shore club is located right in the middle of North Ave Beach, and is very popular during summers. We had booked the outdoor patio for lunch at around 3pm for a party of 6. Although we arrived early, we got a table on arrival. The weather was fantastic, and hence sitting outdoor was relaxing and we felt like we were in an actual beach city. If it's too sunny, you might feel hot if you sit outside. Loved the music that was playing in the background. In terms of food, we had ordered french fries and a Mezze platter for the table. I personally had a plate of blackened shrimp tacos. I had also ordered a fresh coconut which was refreshing. Others on the table had also called for Margaritas. My favourite was the shrimp taco. The mezze platter had a lot of variety and it was quite filling. Overall a very good experience.

I finally tried Shore Club on a perfect summer day! My friends and I planned a lake plunge and had a reservation for lunch. I really liked the place--it's right by the beach club and has great outdoor seating with couches, chairs, and another section. It's perfect for a casual day with friends, and I even saw bridal parties celebrating bachelorettes! The service was quick, and the song selection was amazing. For drinks, we had the In Love with Coco, an espresso martini, and the Margarita Tree, which was the best, four flavors: mango, blackberry, classic, and strawberry. For food, we ordered fries, a mezze platter, and shrimp tacos. The mezze platter was huge and filling for a party of 4-5. I was really impressed with it. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but it's a perfect spot right by the beach.

The worst dining experience of our Chicago stay. Our server was withdrawn and the service went downhill the longer we were there. We had reservations for 10 a.m. on Sunday and it was dead when we got there, yet for some reason our ginormous mezze platter appetizer came out at the same time as our entrees . . . and the entrees were cold. I had the watermelon mojito salad and another person had the housemade tuna salad so at least those were supposed to be cold. But the baked french toast, two orders of beachside benedict and two orders of salsa verde chilaquiles were all cold. We all left disappointed with the entire experience. Yes, the view at Shore Club is pretty, but bad service from the back of the house to the front cannot make up for the debacle we encountered.

Nice lunch spent at Shore Club. This place truly transports you to somewhere tropical! Beautiful view of the beach. Mango margs: 3/5 (please upgrade the glasses from plastic Dixie cups) Whipped feta: 2/5, dip itself was pretty bad, but loved how it came with two kinds of pita and veggies Shrimp tacos: 3.5/5 Great service, QR code pay option.

You're paying for the view and the vibes. The food was good, but the price point for the amount of food was a bit hefty. I got the blackened shrimp tacos (trio set) and didn't think they would be so small. I did have to get a side of fries to fill me up because I wasn't full just yet and the fries itself were about $9. We also ordered the frozen drinks and were a bit bummed because we were expecting them to be so small. For $15, I was under the impression that it would be in a taller and fuller glass. Overall, expect a hike in the price tag for 1. Its location/proximity to the beach 2. Beach club which is separate 3. The ambiance

    EJ C.

Heavy on the 3 star. It's really cool looking in there. Vibe is cool. Nice lil beach situation and cool to take pics at but the food we had was kinda mid I fear. The tacos tasted like a Philly cheese steak and if that's what I was going for, then cool. But I wanted steak tacos. Chicken sandwiches which had feta needed a sauce. Something either sweet or spicy or a combo to balance the dryness of the fried chicken batter and the feta. Our server was great. I had my shoes off bc that's just me and one of the managers sternly asked me to put them back on and that irritated me but I mean that has nothing to do with my rating lmao just funny to share. Idk guys I'll never have to go back in my life The drinks were cool tho!

We were so happy with everything! Our server was wonderful! The entire staff was so friendly and on top of their game! We never waited for anything. They were immediately refilling our waters, offering more bread, removing dirty plates, replacing silverware, and offering the next course. It was perfect! The views!!! I think there's not a table in NoMi that doesn't have an amazing view. The main, large window faces the lake (East). Arriving just at 7, you get the full affect of the city, and lake, and then the sunset and lights of the buildings. It was absolutely magical. I couldn't get enough of it. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and clean, but honestly it could have been a pit and I wouldn't have noticed. You'll be focused on the views for the entire evening. The food!!! Everything is very fresh. It's all well-prepared. Everything was delicious. There's a good variety of dishes to choose from. Plenty of healthy, low-carb options. We each ordered our own appetizers. I had the crispy Maitake mushrooms and my husband had the mussels. We both loved our food and left nothing on our plates. Excellent choices, that we highly recommend. As our main course we shared the sushi platter. The seafood was fresh and the sushi didn't have too much rice. It was the perfect amount of food with our appetizers. They have an extensive wine and drink menu. For drinks I had a glass of the Sauvignon blanc and my husband had a red blend. For dessert we weren't really hungry enough to eat anything else but my husband wanted a pallet cleanser. They have a few sorbets. My husband settled on the cherry cola sorbet. They brought it out with a little chocolate that said "Happy Anniversary" in French. They did not add it to our bill. Very sweet of them. It was probably one of the best anniversaries we've ever had. The bill was about $230 before tip. We highly recommend coming here for any special occasion.

You have to hold your drink the whole time and get bumped into. There is no obvious line at the bar and you accidentally go in front of other people who thought they were in line and they get upset. There are also mini bleachers where people were spilling their drinks because there was no place to put their drinks. The floor was sticky and wet. We got alcohol spilled on us from those climbing down the bleachers. Not a pleasant experience. The drinks were ok. My Magnificent Margarita was too sweet for my taste and it was a generous pour. My daughter had the Crossbeam and was able to select what she preferred. I should have done that one. The bartender was friendly and nice despite how busy he was. There are restrooms for men and women but the women's is not very big or wide. The line is mostly outside the restroom. It was tight in there. Would we go again? Yes.

It is a must visit - if only all hotel restaurants were this good. We had a late dinner reservation on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was almost emptied out. So that made for a lovely, semi-private dining experience. Selecting a wine was dicey, as earlier that week flooding had damaged the cellar (!), but our server, Alex, was very helpful and worked with us to find something to my liking. We landed on a 2015 Cornas which was showing beautifully and matched perfectly with our meal. Alex did a fantastic job taking care of us during the wine reconnaissance and throughout the meal. Speaking of which, we started with the deviled eggs, which were amazing. An elegant balance of cream and salt from the caviar. For my entree, i had the venison. It was a seared filet on I believe a sweet potato puree, and it was rich and tender. Order it rare, if its on the menu. Kelly had the filet, also rare, and found it to be superior to most Chicago steak house filets. Our side was the divinely creamy Aligot mashed potatoes. Don't skip on these! For dessert, there was a decadent, gout-tempting chocolate mousse preparation. Served tableside, its all you think you can eat. I had a heaping serving, ate some, took the rest home. Kelly had the (also) Decadent Chocolate Cake, which too was superb. Cocktails were excellent, as is the bourbon selection. Service was impeccable. Our dinner was long and leisurely, and we look forward to returning.

When I was planning my sister's bachelorette party, I wanted to find a restaurant near our hotel…read morethat could accommodate different dietary preferences (i.e. no pork, vegetarian/halal, etc.). I found Ila's on Google and liked the variety of menu items. The food appeared to elevate comfort food from multiple cuisines, such as American, Italian, South American, Asian, and Southeast Asian. I reached out to the restaurant and was assisted with a reservation for 14 people. Our table was set and ready to go as soon as we arrived at 8:30pm on a Saturday. Overall customer was excellent. Thank you to the hostess for making my sister, the bride, feel special. She complimented her and hyped her up for the night, which was really sweet. Our server was awesome too. He was friendly and highly attentive. Loved that our food and drinks also came out in a timely manner. I enjoyed everything I ate. I had a few bites of the appetizers including the scallops, fried paneer, and 2 kinds of empanadas (corn and chicken). We also got lumpia and a mixed bread platter for the table. Though I didn't have any of the latter, they were a hit at our table. I got the burger as my entree, and it was such a redemption from a crappy burger I got elsewhere earlier in my trip. The double smashed patties were juicy and flavorful. I devoured the burger and loved the thin cut fries. All-in-all, we had a lovely dinner at Ila's for my sister's bachelorette party.

Last minute after-work HH at Ila's and it didn't disappoint. The Gin Blossom was shaken to order…read more(love a fresh craft cocktail over a pre-batched one), and it showed. We also tried the chicken & corn empanadas and the cheese pesto flatbread--all solid. The only downside was that it is super quiet with only a 3 parties including us, so don't expect a buzzing happy hour scene. The space is absolutely gorgeous though, with beautiful interiors, comfy high-end furniture, and great service. Hoping this place gets the love it deserves.
