I mentioned that I wanted tequila as a base and fruity. I forgot to say straight up but it was. It was an amazing cocktail. It had different flavors like rhubarb, Grapefruit, lime, Burlesque bitters and house-made raspberry puree. Wow! Great ambiance. Low lighting. John the bartender was great. Highly recommend.

This was a great little find. A true cocktail lounge perfect for a date night, a guy's night, or even a solo drink. The atmosphere is moody, but not too dim. The music adds energy, but doesn't drown out the conversations. And in addition to the full bar and knowledgeable mixologists, they serve small bites that are perfect to cleanse the palette between drinks. Speaking of drinks... our bartender (I think his name was John), was spot-on with his recommendations. He made me a unique but familiar old fashioned with Old Forester and just the right amount of everything else. We weren't too hungry, so we just had a charcuterie board with our drinks, but if we added the cheese board it probably would have been a perfect light meal for two. The drinks were top shelf, and the service was nothing less. Highly recommend for a nice night out.

Was in downtown Chicago and wanted a cool cocktail bar and decided on The Berkshire Room based on the Yelp reviews. BANG! It was awesome. Super quaint space in the middle of the hustle and bustle of River North. Danny the bartender was amazing, the drink selection was super cool and OMG the selection of spirits was over the top. If you are looking to try impossible to find bourbon- THIS IS THE PLACE. I won't get into the details, but they had most of the BT bourbons. If you like tequila, they also had Fortaleza (all kinds). If you have not had Fortaleza, you must try it. It is the GOAT of tequila and is super hard to find. Highly recommend

Had a nice experience here celebrating a night on the town. Absolutely loved the dealers choice, which is where you make specifications on what you'd like in a drink and the bartender then makes something based on that. Very glad our server was patient with us as we may have stayed longer than others.

Out of all the bars we went to this was the worst. We came in town from Texas, my husband and I, a party of 2. And you could tell the server, Chelsea, cared more about the parties of 4+ which was great for her, but sucked for us... she very rarely looked at us, hardly spoke to us, and we had to make her look our way.... It was sad that she was the only server for the whole floor, but it would've been nice to be payed attention to. If you're a party of 4+ this is the place, if your a party of 2, find another location. We had to call her name and flag her down to get her attention, but for her she got more tips from larger parties, that was clear! Fund another bar.

I've visited The Berkshire Room a couple times and have yet to try a bad cocktail. Everything ranges from good to excellent, and they have a wide variety to suit all tastes and moods. Cool location and ambiance, too. Perfect for a sexy date night. Service is friendly and relatively quick for a cocktail bar of this style. Definitely will be back.

Stopped in after dinner for a drink here. The interior was really fun: little private seating areas scattered on multiple levels with dim lighting made it feel intimate but not overly formal. The music was a tad loud but I'm old so that's what happens. Loved the drinks. I had an old fashioned and my wife had a sazerac. They were both made well and the service was excellent. However, on this particular night the bartender got sick so they had to close the bar abruptly. They allowed us to finish our drinks and didn't rush us out which was nice. We'd definitely go back - cool atmosphere and good drinks!!

This place was our night cap/bring in the new year spot. We were greeted by a wonderful hostess and host. They were full of energy and set the best vibe for the new year. Our server was wonderful (I hate that I'm forgetting names!). We all did the dealers choice and were extremely pleased with our drinks. It was lovely. Definitely recommend stopping in.

Love this place, love the vibe, love the concept. We made a reservation online and got seated pretty quickly. The place is small, but the seats are comfy. What drew us here was the "dealers choice" option where you get to pick a liquor, a flavor, and a cup. I opted for vodka and sweet. Boy was that vodka and boy was it sweet! It wasn't bad but it wasn't my favorite. Nonetheless I enjoyed it!

    Dealer's choice!

I come here for the dealer's choice. Danny is phenomenal and is such a cool bartender. You can pick your alcohol and how you like your drink. It's something very unique and you get something new every time.

This is a super cute bar inside a hotel. I had researched a few places close to our hotel for nightcaps and we liked this place so much, we came back another night. The first night it was loud with lots of bigger groups. The second night was quiet. We had a good time both nights. Service is good, drinks yummy and the menu is neat. They have a thing where you just give them your choice of spirit, flavor profile and glass, and they will create something for you. Good place for a date or even a big outing. Would definitely go back when I am back in town.

There isn't any food at the Berkshire room, but who needs it when you are going to enjoy drinks and conversation? The vibe of this place is set for the classy woman and old school fellas. The decor and room setup reminds me of a 1960s movie scene. Upon walking in, the hostess will escort you to your seating area and make sure you are settle in well. The bar service does not disappoint! The bar tender is skilled in his craft and can make anything upon request! I will be going back for a ladies night out!

    Stephanie P.

I was SO disappointed with my experience here. Service was terrible. It took me an hour to get my cocktail. A literal hour. It wasn't very busy but the server working was frequently no where to be found. My drink was good. I did their dealers choice concept - you select an alcohol, a flavor profile, and a glass type and the bartender will mix you something of their choice. However, they served my husband a drink that wasn't what he ordered - so that was disappointing. We ordered whipped feta as an appetizer. It wasn't good and was just thick and lacked flavor.

The security guard then sized our group member up for at least one full minute while I urged him walk away and go continue doing his job (flash lighting lol). It was really weird and frightening behavior from a 50 year old+ employee that could land them in a lot of legal trouble. Management only offered two drink tokens after another group member complained. The tokens were then declined by the bartender. Poorly run institution that needs to 1) run better background checks on their security guards / make sure they're not violent 2) put up roping/boundaries by the tables to avoid overcrowding where they do bottle service There are much better bars/restaurants in the area that won't tackle to the ground. It was no wonder when we arrived that there was a line out the door. We waited around 45 minutes, and the bouncer was a really nice fellow who kept track of the numbers and people at the door. Upon entering, we were immersed in a dimly lit retro-style lounge. It was quite loud inside and packed as we walked to our seats. The server was great at taking our orders and offering suggestions. I opted for the French 75, which featured sparkling wine and mixed gin, brandies, and citrus. The drink was delicious, but STRONG. I don't know what they put in the cocktails in America, but I am always finished after one drink. Needless to say, we were all struggling to finish our own drinks. My favourite touch was the coasters, I ended up keeping all of them so that I can reuse them at my galentines event next year. The 'bisous' with the kiss on the other side is a perfect touch! I think the drinks are fairly priced for USD. I would love to return someday to try other drinks and bar bites, and also try their sister bar, Sparrow.

Imagine my shock when we didn't even make it past the bouncer because he was so rude, AS OTHER RECENT REVIEWS HAVE MENTIONED AS WELL! We had dinner nearby and walked to Bisous after, and saw there was a line of 5 or 6 people outside. We expected this as we knew Bisous is a first come, first serve bar. We were curious what the wait time would look like, so we approached the front door to ask a host or employee inside (we assumed there'd be a desk with an employee working it who could give us a wait time). We had no problem waiting, just wanted to see how long they estimated it would be! Before we could even fully open the door, the bouncer swung the door open from the other side and hit me with the door. I stumbled back a few steps and he looked at us and said, and I quote, "What do you want?". I laughed at first because I thought he was joking and putting on a tough guy act. He was not. We quickly explained we just wanted to see what the wait time was, and he said "don't you see there's a line outside?" We said yes, and explained we just wanted to know a rough estimated wait time. He just blankly stared at us while ushering us out. Both my boyfriend and I have worked in customer-service roles for a very, very long time. This encounter was not only extremely rude and unprofessional, but he also hit me hard enough with the door to send me stumbling back, and then said nothing about it and continued to address us in a tone that was nothing less than annoyed and irritated. We didn't end up going inside because that encounter left such a bad taste in our mouths. I don't believe in spending my money at establishments that don't treat their customers with the bare minimum respect they deserve! Bummed we didn't get to experience it, as I'm sure it was lovely inside and I can only hope the rest of the employees were much more kind and accommodating, or at least able to answer a simple question. Fire your "bouncer" (??) and hire someone with some basic customer service and communication skills!!

The leche de Tigre (think ceviche in a glass) was savory, tangy, and something I would order again and again. To snack, we got the pepperoni flavored popcorn (they have a vegetarian version) and it blew me away. I would never have guessed it was vegetarian if we hadn't requested that specifically. Collectively, we ordered more than half the beverages on the menu. That said, the atmosphere is part of the appeal. If you're looking for a fun, celebratory evening with friends or family, Gilt Bar delivers. I can't imagine choosing it for a business dinner. We started with the Tenderloin Steak Tartare and onion rings. Both were excellent. My daughter was craving the Bolognese, while I ordered the vodka rigatoni. The portions were generous, and both dishes were flavorful and satisfying. The truffle mafaldine appears to be the menu's most celebrated pasta and receives plenty of attention on Yelp, but we were very happy with our selections. Service was spot on throughout the evening. Food arrived with good pacing, drinks were refreshed promptly, and our server struck the right balance between attentive and intrusive. For dessert, we shared the gooey skillet cookie. Be warned: this thing arrives at the table with nuclear-level heat. The vanilla ice cream isn't just there for flavor, it's there for protection. One unusual observation: the floors seemed surprisingly slippery throughout the restaurant, something we noticed more than once. Our bill came to $159 before tip, which felt reasonable given the quality of the food, service, and overall experience. Between the lively atmosphere, strong food, excellent service, and vibrant bar scene, it's easy to understand why Gilt Bar has remained popular for more than 15 years

Gigi was an our server and she was attentive and informative. For food we ordered a variety, cucumber salad, the burrata, fried artichoke, French onion bread, octopus, hamachi, rib eye, filet and ravioli. Everything was amazing!!!! It is a small menu, but so many amazing options, you can't go wrong. We then went to the night club. Gina was our server and she was amazing also. Everyone had a blast Venue is beautiful, food is great, staff and vibe made the whole night!

Even so, it wasn't enough to necessitate the price tag, which all of my friends and I were surprised by when we paid at the end. The cocktails were outstanding - we all enjoyed our choices. For some of us, they were enjoyable enough where we got the same one more than once 0:) Our server was not very friendly - she does not need to act like our BFF or anything like that, but she was cold and seemed annoyed by our questions and such. She also had no idea about the wine, so my friend just rolled the dice on what she wanted without knowing much about it. She wound up liking it - but more clarity would've been helpful (or even seeking out someone else working there for more info!). Minor environment note: The largest artwork there is a triptych of photographs - three famous women: Princess Diana, Sharon Tate (I think?), and Marilyn Monroe. There is a horizontal band going across where their eyes all line up, and the band replaces their eyes with cartoon eyes, likely of Disney princesses. It is supposed to be quirky but I found it creepy, especially since it featured three famous women who met untimely ends.

Recently went to Prime Bar to celebrate Galentine's Day with my girls. This spot had been on my…read morelist for a while! We decided to dine at the bar so we could take advantage of the everyday happy hour and use our InKind app. The espresso martini was a HIT. Our favorites were the chips and dips, cheeseburger, chicken taco pita, truffle fries, and oysters. The wings were just okay and I did not love the herb aioli. Our bartender server, I believe her name was Delia, sorry if I spelled it wrong, was super nice. She got slammed but still gave great service the whole time. The ambience is gorgeous and the music really set the vibe. Would definitely come back!

Even the area they kept water for easy access was well thought out. I started with a dozen oysters and ended with the wagyu smash burger, as it was a must order. The oysters are $1 during happy hour, which is 4pm - 6pm everyday. The oysters were fresh and the perfect size, not too big or too small. It came with two sauces, lemons, and mini Tabascos. The wagyu smash burger was pretty good and filling. I'm not the biggest fan of burgers but this one is definitely worth trying! My waiter was attentive and chill. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and can't wait to come back!
