Shore is a really hip, fun place to go for just drinks, dinner or late night fun. They offer a lot of outside seating, as well as indoor seating. Shore has a very large, beautiful bar. There's a retractable ceiling, at the front of the restaurant and in the rear. In the evenings, as the sun sets, you can see the beautiful sky and enjoy being outside. Their decorations were so fun. You'll definitely notice everything when you walk in. Their tables were made out of beautiful wood. Be sure to check out the really long picnic table in the center of the restaurant. I decided to try on some swimsuits from this store and an employee let me into the fitting room. The same employee came back about 5 minutes later and without knocking, opened the door. While I stood there completely topless, a middle aged man got a nice view of my chest. I simply got an, "oh sorry". I decided to speak with the manager and explain the situation only to have her justify her employee's actions. I would recommend having someone guard the door for you if you decide to try something on here.... it's too hard for the girls that work here to simply knock... it's rocket science apparently. read more

Went here on a Saturday night for dinner. I would recommend reservations on a weekend during season, the place was packed! Very cool ambiance, outdoor seating with bistro lights above and a lounge area with comfy couches and small "fire pits". Our meal was great, they had a Valentine's Day special so we started with the calamari they were featuring. It was tossed is a spicy mayo sauce and stacked with sushi rice and avocado, so good! For our entrees I got the organic fried chicken and my boyfriend had the ribeye, both entrees were great! I would come back for sure! Just about my favorite clothing store of all time. Great selection for men and women. I think the prices are reasonable for stylish clothing. They sell sexy, stylish, modern, relaxed, trendy, hip fashions. Coats, sweaters, shirts, t-shirts, shoes, sandals, pants, skirts, accessories, etc... Shore provides an environment. Their presentation, people and selection are all catered to the customer. If you purchase something here that is defective they will reimburse. I know this first hand. I bought a winter jacket and the filler inside kept coming out bit by bit, very frustrating. I owned it for a year before I returned it, no problem. If you like cool clothes check this place out. We've stop into this establishment every time we visit Sarasota. The employees are usually very friendly and helpful. I love shore because they usually have the newest surf styles and accessories. We've purchased alot of new clothing from shore over the few years they've been open. They are normally very inviting and once even let my two pups come in so we could purchase clothes! Unfortunately, this weekend (Saturday October 29th, 2011 around 2-3pm) the two ladies in there were less than cordial. We were probably browsing for about 15 minutes (maybe 2-3 other customers in the store) before we were even half greeted. The brunette "sort of" greeted us but the blond completely ignored us. I have to visit Shore every time I am in St. Armand's. The establishment provides a great atmosphere, it's hip, it's chic, and cool. Love the fact that their employees are very attentive and always try to help as much as they can in selective the perfect piece of any occasion. Shore's prices vary in range. I've bought one or two things at regular price, but often purchased from their small clearance section that I wish was available to look at online. We had been in the store a year ago and liked it then too. Great vibe. Super nice people work there (in particular, a big thank you to Vinnie who was cheerful and helpful - like a boy scout but cooler and better dressed). Shore is a private label line of clothing that is manufactured in California - big plus for being made here in the good old USA (insert flag waving and cheers now). Style points for a great logo as well. The logo looks like the brand has been around for decades when in fact it's still quite young. This brand is island meets upscale casual meets classic cool. Comfortable yet still looking sharp. Tommy Bahama when that brand was new to the marketplace. There are a few brands that this clothing line seems to be related to in a target demographic kind of way - Johnny-O, Vineyard Vines and Southern Tide all come to mind. Classic not trendy. All of the products seem to be well made and while the price points are a little high, they are not out of line for the typical St. Armand's Circle shopper. The store is well laid out, open and has a lot of product - they also sell other brand names - not just the Shore label. Plenty of dressing rooms and selections for both men and women. They even have a good website http://shorebrand.com/ And no, I don't work for this company or know the owners or have any affiliation at all - just happy to have come across it. I would love to give this place five stars because the food was phenomenal, the menu choices were on point, and the drink selection was great. However, our waiter seemed poorly trained and unenthused to be serving us. Didn't give us the specials until asked, served coffee with no milk and sugar, just a bit off his game. Can't speak to the clothing but I can speak to the AMAZING Caesar Salad. Perhaps one of the best I've ever had with sunflower seeds and a healthy serving of avocado. I recommend adding Grouper which is also very well done at The Shore. Tried some other dishes including the soup, lobster mac and cheese and fried chicken. They were all OK but if you aren't interested in a caesar salad, this place may not be worth the drive/parking headache. read more

First...just know that the clothing is very expensive. But, the staff works like a fine tuned machine. My husband and I sat and watched them work while others in our party tried on clothes. We were amazed! My husband works high up in sales. He said the he wished the staff in his stores would work like this store did. He said he would hire each and every one of the employees in this store immediately. No questions asked. I, too, was amazed as a shopper. I don't usually spend this kind of money on clothes, but we walked out of there with $300 worth of clothing. (One pair of pants and two tops, mind you.) I wanted to compliment the entire staff on a fantastic meal: 5/13/17. I am a 40 year professional in the 4 star F&B world and wanted to share what a fine experience we had last night. The food was perfect from presentation to a wide variety of dynamic flavors. The service was spot on: Nick was the kind of waitstaff I love: he had great knowledge of the menu, fantastic recommendations to a consistent eye on the table. He even caught a dirty spoon that was going to be presented to the table and without skipping a beat, realized it and quickly replaced it. The restaurant has a serious aura of professionalism from host/waitstaff to deep culinary mindset. We live in Tampa and entertain at home a lot because we are normally disappointed when we dine out.
