Bought two stickers from here - the backs of both of them stuck to the adhesive meaning the stickers couldn't stick to anything. We went back to exchange them for stickers that actually work and they said they can't without a receipt. I understand if it was something more expensive but they're stickers.. & to not allow an exchange is pretty cheap imo. Go get your stickers at beach bazaar right across the street! read more

The cashier I interacted with was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I left the store feeling frustrated and disrespected. My favorite shop on the strip thus far. Listen, I'm a 30 year old lady. Which means I was born on the year of the mermaid (thank you Little Mermaid 1989 release.) All of that to say that this shop knows how to capture my mermaid loving heart with all the best trinkets and hidden treasures. This shop almost made me ask my husband to marry me again so that people could buy me all of the wedding themed gifts. If you have a bride in your life, come check out their bridal party, wedding shower, and couples gifts! If you're searching for a souvenir this place goes beyond the tacky screen printed T-shirt places and has truly unique items. I always try to find my postcard for the trip and I found a huge selection that wasn't a basic beach pic with "siesta key" slapped on it with the help of a paint app. I will be returning before my trip wraps up to buy a few more items. read more

This store was really thoughtfully put together, with lots of great items for either souvenirs, gifts, or decorating your beach home. Prices were fair, and I felt like there was definitely something for everyone there. Of all of the shops I visited while staying in SK village - this one was definitely my favorite. This is THE cutest shop and I have to stop in every time I am in Siesta Key (which is every weekend!) Even though I frequent so often, they always have new merchandise and keep from being stale. You will find anything here ranging from Christmas decorations to tourist items such as magnets and glasses. What I love the most is the one-of-a-kind items that make spectacular gifts. And their home decor options are also spectacular! You will find so many beautiful "beachy" items such as beautiful mermaids etched in wood to plaques and signs with witty sayings. Best store ever in siesta village. On the outside this is one bright aqua beachy store. It reminds me of stores you see in key west. In the inside you will see a great variety of coastal decor, coastal jewelry, sarasota tshirts and beach wear, and of course a lovely section of dog lover stuff. Everything is so nicely organized. The poor rating is because of the rude staff member (an older man) who loudly announced to me that there are no pictures allowed in the store - and I was simply sending a gift idea to my husband. I thought this store was so fricking cute. If you want to get a souvenir that is actually cute and useful come here. If I had a cottage I would exclusively shop here for all of my decorations, but unfortunately I don't. Very disappointed with this store. My wife and I were vacationing in Siesta Key, we spent a lot of money here. When we unpacked the platter we purchased to pack in our suitcase we noticed a large chip in the upper corner. I went back to exchange & they made it clear they're not responsible for product once it leaves the store. It was clear we didn't use it and they refused to help us. Very disappointing. You would think with their overpriced products they would have better customer service. I will not shop there again. read more

This is a cute gift store in the siesta key village. They have a lot of unique gifts: signs, cards, books, clothing, and kitchen items. Lots to peruse and look for! Some of the items are a little pricy but they are very unique so it's fun to find gifts! Parking can be scarce on the street. read more

Apparently there are no photos allowed in this store... it's not an art gallery! ITS A TRINKET STORE!! Get over yourself, Gidget's. You've lost quite a few customers. We've made quite a few purchases here in the past & we will never step in the store again. The staff could have approached the situation very differently but that was not the way to handle it. I loved this little store in the Village at Siesta Key! It is not one of the beach junk stores with tacky cheap junk. It's jam packed with super cute coastal themed decorations and gifts with some lake stuff thrown in as well. They have good quality SK shirts and hats plus wall art, ornaments, kids books and shirts, pet items, rugs, and just about anything else you could be looking for. My absolute favorite in the store though was the sea glass art by a local Sarasota artist named Avery Jackson. I will definitely be buying one of the Flamingo pieces in the near future! read more

So today I said to my husband, let's go to my favorite shop in the village of Siesta Key. Gidget's! Note that I shop there every time we are here. About every month and a half! I regret that I have never seen the "no picture taking signs" as I am to busy picking out things to buy. WELL, tonight I had the miss fortune of meeting the owner. She very rudely told me no pictures, and my husband and I actually looked at each other and giggled because we thought she was kidding. Then she proceeded to tell us that she was serious as they were in the market to sell things and not for people to take pictures. Now, we own several businesses and where I respect the no picture taking thing, it was so rude and mishandled that I saw my way back to tell her so. I explained that I hadn't seen the signs and that she handled it rudely. She admitted it was rude but when I said I have spent over 300.00 there sines Christmas, she said good for you! I told her that I wouldn't be back and she said she was just fine with that. Very poor handling of a very innocent situation on my part. We were drawn into this store by the very cute look! It has so many Siesta Key Beach decorations and shirts. I ended up buying a Siesta Key shirt and it was only $10. It was very plain but across the street at another store the shirts were $30. There were very great prices across all of their items and they even have great taffy. Tons of quality items for the entire family and wonderful souvenirs to take home as gifts, not junk! I could have spent a couple of hours in the store easily but my daughter drug me out before I did too much damage but I will be back before the week is over! I went two nights in a row because I just couldn't forget about all of the lovely coastal decor and wanted more! I ended up buying a cute ceramic starfish for my coffee table tray and a cute shell plate to display on my shelves! I wanted much more but the prices were a little steep. Love, love, love this store! Lots of beautiful decor and gifts, very different from your typical beach store souvenirs that are the same everywhere, just with whatever beach you're at stamped on it. I went back several times during our trip to Siesta Key because there were items I just couldn't stop thinking about. Well priced as well. Had the intention of buying multiple items from this shop. I took a photo of a book to send to my friend (she suggested a book to me and I wanted to ask her if this was the book I should buy) and a woman came over to me and said that I needed to leave the store since taking a photo was "forbidden" and also "uncool"(??) I honestly thought she was joking until she pointed to a sign that said I wasn't allowed to take photos of the "art work" in the shop. This wasn't artwork, it was a book cover.... I am also not sure if it is even legal to mandate customers of such thing? In any case, I obviously immediately put down everything I intended to purchase and left with 0 intentions of ever returning. The situation in general could have been handled more professionally and maturely on behalf of the older woman who spoke so rudely to me, I think a 10 year old would have had more class. Cute store but BEWARE!!! Great place for thank you gifts (for those tending to your house/pet while you're on vacation in SK) and treats for family. But CAUTION! They have a 24 hour, yes 24H, return policy for STORE CREDIT ONLY. (Wow, could you be any more limiting?) Make sure you don't make the mistake I did of buying a $78 shirt (for my husband) that doesn't fit (XL runs small) because you'll be stuck with it.
