I saw a post on Instagram that led me to believe this dentist could determine whether my teeth or mouth were related to the ringing in my ear. The post presented him as highly skilled at connecting oral issues to other parts of the body. I suffer from tinnitus and have been desperately looking for a solution, having already seen several specialists and a dentist. I requested an appointment online and clearly stated in writing that I wanted a consultation specifically for tinnitus, which the doctor later repeated during the visit. I received a prompt call back and asked directly if the doctor could help with tinnitus. I was told yes, and that he would spend two hours going over everything, including the meridian. I even clarified whether that meant two full hours with the doctor, not including waiting or X-rays, and was told it did. Although the online price was lower, I was quoted $500 and told the website was not updated. I had to pay the full amount upfront and waited four months for the appointment. I drove 100 miles each way with high hopes. The staff and doctor were polite, and I was taken for X-rays quickly, but then waited over 25 minutes for the doctor. When he arrived, I explained my main concern was tinnitus. He examined my teeth and recommended extracting a wisdom tooth and another loose tooth but gave no clear explanation connecting this to my tinnitus. Despite my questions, I got no real answers. The meridian was mentioned once briefly. I also asked about TMJ, and he said we could discuss it at a future visit. After repeatedly probing and redirecting the conversation back to tinnitus, he eventually told me it is not his specialty. At that point, I realized the visit was a waste. My 12 PM appointment ended well before 1 PM, and I left with a $4,000+ extraction quote and another $5,000+ if I wanted implants. I requested my records, and more than a month later, I still have not received them. I have never felt more misled or like I wasted $500. The right time to tell me tinnitus was not his specialty was during the initial call, or at least upon arrival with a refund. I waited six weeks for my reimbursement from their corporate office. I received a check for $710.50 less than what I paid them. There is no way to contact the corporate office that sent the check, and Shore Smiles does not return/respond to my call or text messages. They also do not respond to the Better Business Bureau. This dental office has been nothing short of a nightmare! If you need extensive work done, do not go here. The owner, Dr. Gandhi, let Shia office staff treat you like you're an absolute piece of shit and you're the issue when their dental laboratory is incapable or making basic dental crowns. They will drag you through the water and let your teeth rot out of your mouth, before ever refunding you for a product and service they simply cannot produce. The owner will never show his face or speak with you if you have an issue and request to speak with him, and there is no office manager ever present. The girls all say they're the manager there and make decisions as if they own the place. Gandhi allows his business to run this way and he will hide behind emails they send you without any real communication when his labs dental work is absolute crap! They will never discharge you after being unable to competently complete the job and when you request a refund because you need to get the work done by a competent office, they will blame it all on you and offer you 50% of the money you paid for a product they couldn't produce. They will tell you that you're choosing to leave, so they shouldn't have to refund you for the work, but then when they finally discharge you, they send you an email vouching to complete the work and then you are no longer allowed back, as if if ever go back there, but they want to complete the job they've been unable to complete for approximately two years, as your teeth just decay underneath the temporary crowns for all that time. The owner cares even less than his staff does about his patients or anyone dissatisfied or upset with the work the lab is producing, even though the other dentist in his office admitted the lab messed up and can't get it right. It's a losing situation and they won't even sign any forms for a peer review and lie and tell you there was nothing for them to sign and that they're waiting for you to take legal action. It's as if they get off on this, I swear. They love the drama and making you look like the issue. This place is run by a greedy, money hungry person, who is unethical and doesn't abide by the oath he took when he became a dentist. It's all about money and his cars. Billed $1,000 for a Service I Never Received -- Be Cautious I went to Shore Smiles Dental on December 20th for an initial consultation and X-rays. I was told I needed about $4,000 worth of dental work. Since I couldn't pay a deposit, the office suggested I apply for CareCredit, which I did -- not realizing I'd be charged $1,000 before receiving any treatment. I scheduled an appointment for January 6th but canceled it on January 4th, because I didn't have the full amount required. At no point was I told there would be a cancellation fee or that I'd be charged upfront. I never received any actual treatment -- only X-rays and a treatment plan. Weeks later, I started getting collection notices and calls from Synchrony Bank (CareCredit), saying I owed $1,000. When I called, they said Shore Smiles Dental claimed they provided the service, which is completely untrue. On March 31st, someone named Julia reached out to me questioning why I filed a dispute. She told me that had I called them instead, they could've refunded me. She also left a voicemail which I still have that states they would have processed the refund and it would have gone through quicker had I not opened a dispute. However, now they are refusing to issue a refund and are sticking to the claim that services were rendered -- which they were not. Today, on June 2nd, I spoke with Stephanie, who was empathetic and professional. She placed me on hold a few times to speak with someone above her, and eventually told me there's nothing they can do until they receive a notice from CareCredit. Now it's out of their hands and I have to wait to find out if I'll be refunded -- despite the fact that I never got the treatment in the first place. Just when I thought I found my dental home, this happened. Now I'm left with a $1,000 debt for a service I never received, and no clear timeline for resolution. Please be cautious if you choose this office, especially when financing. Make sure you understand what you're being charged for and ask for all terms in writing. I had a terrible experience with Shore Smile Dental. I was charged a $6,000 (credit card) down payment for a $46,000 procedure scheduled two weeks out. One business day later, I decided to cancel and requested a refund, but they refused to return my money. My financial situation is not good at this time. While I understand that some work was done (a first digital impression scan for a mold), the refusal to issue even a partial refund despite the procedure not happening is completely unreasonable. Most reputable dental offices have fair cancellation policies, but this one seems more focused on profits than patient care. At the end of the appointment, we discussed some cosmetic options and the need for a deep cleaning. Before leaving, I scheduled my follow-up cleaning, which brings us to today. I received a welcoming email to check in online, which was simple and easy. I also called to confirm my appointment, and I was told it was scheduled for 6:00 PM. I explained that my confirmation said 5:00 PM. The receptionist said she would check and call me back. About an hour later, I received a call back and was told they were running a little behind and asked if I could come at 5:30 PM instead of 5:00 PM. I agreed without issue. I arrived at 5:15 PM and was called in around 5:35 PM. I was greeted by Carmen, who directed me into an office. I was a bit confused when she informed me they couldn't do my cleaning because I needed a deep cleaning, which requires 1.5 to 2 hours. I asked why this hadn't been mentioned during the two confirmations or when I checked in at the front desk. Carmen then started asking if I had made a payment. I was unsure what payment she was referring to, as I had made my payment during my previous visit. The situation became very uncomfortable as Carmen seemed to blame me, implying I should have known the procedure required more time. I explained that I spoke with a staff member earlier, and no one had mentioned this issue. Instead of resolving the matter, she continued to explain what I had done wrong and why the practice was not at fault. After about 10 minutes of this, I asked a simple question: why was I asked to come in if they couldn't accommodate my appointment? Carmen continued to deflect and insist the error was on my part. Ultimately, I was told they could not accommodate me. It's unfortunate that an otherwise good practice allowed an employee's behavior to overshadow my experience. While my first appointment was excellent, this visit made me feel unwelcome and unheard. It seems like the goal of the first appointment was to get me in the door, only to meet Carmen later. This experience was unprofessional and left a bad impression. I would strongly recommend training for staff on communication and customer service to ensure patients are treated respectfully and situations like this are handled better in the future. I called back the following week to speak to a manager, this is second call. Only Carmen picked up the phone, I explained I'm still waiting for a manager office. Worst dentist possible. They are all about money and try to find things wrong with you in order to secure payment. They don't properly explain billing and why you are suddenly receiving a balance on your account. They harass you when it comes to confirming your appointment, you would think with the amount of times you are harassed that the front end would prompt if an issue can occur at the time of the appointment. This is endless. Original review: BEWARE!!! I chose this office as I had been considering dentures even at a young age due to some bad teeth. I was pleasantly surprised when Dr G told me no. He was confident he could save the teeth and we went about a 6 month plan that would cost around 16k. Still considerably less than dentures so I was ready. First few appointments went very well. I had some root canals and crowns and was very happy with the service and the work. The staff seemed to really care. I dropped around 10k but was on my way. Then I came to a very early morning appointment in December. There had been some snow on the ground, but I was still on time. I had to sign the usual consents when I arrived and of course pay up front for that days services. I was prepared and offered my card. Made it back to the room and was my usual nervous self, but was quickly told that I would not be getting my services that day. They had mixed up appointments and had scheduled another gentleman in my place. What? Why? I took a day off of work for this. I was asked to make another appointment so I did just that and went on my way. A week or so later my job began offering dental plans and I was very excited to be able to save some money on the rest of the 16k original plan so I called the office to have my recent payment of over 1k refunded as I didn't get the work that day and would no longer be paying out of pocket. Of course!!! They would happily send me a refund via check. That was 3 months, 3 calls and 4 voicemails ago. They just stopped answering me altogether. Last time I spoke with someone they just didn't know what I was talking about. Really?? I've called several times and now it goes to voicemail even if it is business hours and I get a text that they will call me right back, but they never do. Why was I asked to pay for services they knew I wasn't going to get? And why would they refuse to give it back to me? I must relate my experience with the invisalign scam they have in the last year or two decided to promote. Heed my story and be warned, when they first started promoting themselves as "invisaligned certified" they immediately started aggressively pushing the treatment on me, the dentist, "Dr" Dan, sold me this story about how I'm currently eroding my teeth and they'll be permanently damaged if I do not immediately start this treatment. What's really amazing is how just a few weeks into this "treatment" (and 5k down the hole) suddenly all that "erosion" wasn't actually happening and it was just the natural crevices of my teeth, I guess the good doctor couldn't be bothered to remember which dishonest huckster tactics he used to scare me into this treatment. What made me realize I've been had is I later learned he tried to sell this same nonsense to my family members, the same exact script about "teeth erosion". Thankfully they were smarter than me and said NO and guess what? Their teeth are fine. Additionally, don't just take my word for it! Go through other reviews here for this practice, see the lowest ones and you'll see other people have reported this same exact behavior ever since they started marketing themselves as an Invlisalign certified practice. "Dr" Dan may not work here anymore but this has cost me 5k and much more importantly 2 teeth I'll never get back and shame on everyone involved in permanently harming me just to make a quick buck. The fact this office has allowed their doctors to practice these used car salesman tactics (and likely still do due to still marketing themselves as invisalign certified) makes them just as guilty as "Dr" Dan. Please heed my warning if any of these people start aggressively pushing invisalign on you, run far far away and if you have concerns about their claims find a second and third opinion, preferably from actual orthodontists. It is a shame I've not the resources to afford real justice for this case (which in any case I would not be satisfied with anything but a time machine to go back in time and get my teeth back) but I can hope one day there is a class action lawsuit as I now know I'm not alone and not the only one this has happened to. Just wanted to share my story so you never agree to leave a deposit with these thieves. You will never see that money again. After having 2 implants done the Dr suggested I get another one done on a tooth that was pulled years ago. I left a deposit of over $1,000 for my next visit. After thinking it over, for financial reasons I decided I did not want the third implant. I notified them in plenty of time and asked for my deposit back. They keep telling me someone will call me back but they never do. They said they were mailing a check. They never did and refuse to let me speak to the billing manager. I said I wanted to wait to get approval from my insurance. Long story short, first they didn't send the xray, next they sent a partial xray, and lastly they sent it in the wrong format. Finally I received an explanation of benefits stating they would not pay for a core build up because they deemed it unnecessary. When insurance company called the dental office to question the charge, they stated that the patient has agreed to pay the additional cost. Total lie! Joined the shore smiles family after discovering them on yelp. Last week was my first time visiting and the office and so far, I love it. My dental hygienist was very informative and kind, unfortunately I forgot her name. Dr. Gandhi was very nice and welcoming as well. Between my time spent with the hygienist and the doctor I felt very confident in asking them questions in regards to my care. The office is very modern and inviting. After you've paid all the money they'll make you run after them to get the bad job the doctors did fixed and good luck getting that done cause no one will listen to you after they have the money. I went in for a routine cleaning a few months ago. Like usual, I sat in the waiting room updating my info then I was called in for the cleaning. Mid-way through the cleaning someone comes in and tells me I'm out of network with my new insurance. I get nervous and wonder how much this is going to cost me. After much talking out of the room about my insurance issues I'm told not to worry, pay today and I would get a reimbursement (which I was later told by the office manager, Carmen, that wasn't correct). Anyway, I'm disappointed bc after talking about this with my coworkers and a few of my customers where I work I'm finding out this is a pretty common scenario. Many people I spoke with said when this happened to them or someone they know the dentist's office didnt charge them for the cleaning especially if you've been a patient for a long time. I wasn't even looking for a free appt I'm more frustrated with how this whole situation was handled. Getting responses to messages I left barely happened and not to mention, the day of my appt after being told I'm out of network, they sit me in another office for about 15mins to then try and sell my Invisalign (or whatever company they use). I'm told, the almost $4000 braces, can be paid over time bc I'm out of network. Excuse me, if the $266 cleaning I wasn't expecting hit me hard why would I pay money for something like that? I learned, I'm not a patient, I'm just another way to bring in revenue. I was told the cleaning is what it is (after almost 2 months of follow up on my end). Update: BE VERY AWARE! I have received the unexpected bill from hell. When my daughter was service I specifically asked how much would my out of pocket cost be and I paid just that. Well to my surprise a bill came requesting over $400! I called the office and was told the figure I got in the office was only a quote. HUH? I hate to say this but I was livid. I NEVER HEARD THE WORD QUOTE! I was called to the counter and the woman said your out of pocket expense are blah blah blah (approx. $200). At no time did she say this is only a quote or estimate of what it would be. So that is not true! I told this woman that 200 and 600 is a huge gap! There is no way I would have let her get service for a cleaning and X-rays for $600. I was told they would verify my coverage and my out of pocket expense and I gladly paid it right there on the spot after they did ($200). I asked, so how was that possible and does it makes sense that a quote would be 200 and then your final bill would be 600? I was then told that they billed the insurance company and they adjusted the billing code to a lesser paying billing code and therefore I am responsible for the remaining balance! Oh so now I am responsible for billing and coding issues! I have never had to pay any extra billing cost after a claim is submitted for dental treatment. I have yet to pay this bill. $600+ for X-rays and dental scaling (think deep cleaning). Boy oh boy! Was it not worth it! I could kick my own butt for bringing my daughter here! First about $200 now $430 more. I FEEL SO SCAMMED. What started as an awesome experience has turned into a nightmare. I also asked for an itemized bill so I can see what this 400+$ is for and was told they would send it but IT NEVER CAME. I also called AETNA to see if there was anything I could do and was told they were paid their contracted rate for the codes billed and usually the difference is written off but some providers may go after the patient for the difference. So basically I'm f'd over a cleaning. The most expensive cleaning EVER! BE AWARE, VERY AWARE, and ALWAYS ASK what if questions! This woman told me I was responsible because I signed the responsibility forms stating that I would pay for any part of the claim that the insurance company didn't. I asked her to send me copies of that, GUESS WHAT! NEVER CAME! Here's my tip: write on that specific paper: I am not responsible for additional post treatment bills including billing and coding errors, denials for timely filing or for the difference between billed and adjusted claims. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! I am doing all the legwork trying to get this bill rectified but it looks like they just want this extra money! I WILL NOT EVER RETURN HERE THEY CANT DO THIS TO PEOPLE. I do not recommend this office at all. I have had 2 major incidents with this office in less than a year. To be brief, one of the dentists slipped with the drill and put a crater(hole) in my tongue. His defense was oops there was too much water in her mouth..it took almost 2 months for my tongue to heal. But then I went back (what a huge mistake that was) because I like Dr. Dan... I had a crown done...got a temporary..went back 3 weeks later for the crown and was blind sided that oh you owe $800 from 2 years ago and we won't give you the crown until you give us $400... why would u start a job knowing that I "owed" money....no one ever told me this within those 2 years until I went back to get my crown...disgusting...so unprofessional. 2 poor visits within 6 months..... read more

I was treated by Dr Payziyev recently and I must say my visit was over the top and I am beyond satisfied. During the visit, Dr Payziyev made sure that I was comfortable and pain free. Dr Payziyev did everything possible to make sure that I would have a mellow visit. Additionally, he payed very close attention to my needs and was very detailed during his explanation of the procedure. Dr Payziev is very informative and caring. Unlike other offices, he is able to make time for his patients and really prioritizes his patients. I wish I could leave a good review. Since day one I was continuously asked to leave a review. I wanted to wait until the work was done, I felt bad enough I referred two family members. Long story short.. I was told that they had a no interest plan so I ended up making the mistake and charging all this work and trusting it would be done correctly. All said and done I'm very unhappy and I have to get the work redone. I was told I would be refunded money and never heard back from them again. I don't know how a doctor (dr G) can take someone money leave them in pain and actually get mad when you tell him you're uncomfortable. Very unprofessional. I read the reviews and did see other complaints but thought to myself they must be just hard to deal with people... not the case. I also didn't rush to write this review, they had plenty of time to get back to me. They just ignore my messages. Even the emergency message telling them I think I need antibiotics.
