That's actually why we wanted to come out for Spring Break--and why we brought another family with us. Right off the bat, things felt... a little off. When we pulled into our RV spots, both fire pits (ours and our friends') were full of ash and old, charred wood. Not a huge deal--we don't even really use them--but it was noticeable. Ours was also broken (one leg completely off), which just added to the "hmmm... okay" impression. It wasn't terrible, just definitely not what we remembered. We had planned to kick off the trip with dinner at the bar the first night. Turns out--it's closed on Wednesdays. That one's on us for not checking ahead, but still a bit of a buzzkill. The next day, we figured we'd make up for it with lunch and drinks. This is where things really went sideways. The bartender/server was great--super nice, clearly trying--but every single order turned into, "I'm so sorry... we don't have that." No fries. No chicken fingers (which, with kids, is basically a crisis). Same drink menu as always... but almost none of the ingredients to actually make the drinks. I eventually simplified my order to tequila on the rocks with a lime. "I'm sorry... we don't have limes." At that point, I actually went back to my RV, cut up a couple of limes, and brought them to the bar. I wish I was joking. I don't even know if they used them--but that kind of says it all. From what we were told, everything was "supposed to be restocked"... it just hadn't happened yet. Which raises a pretty obvious question--who exactly was in charge of getting this place ready for Spring Break? We ended up driving into town to buy our own drinks, mixers, and food. Not exactly the resort experience we were planning on. We hung out around the pool and bar area afterward, and even that felt like it had slipped a bit. Chairs scattered everywhere, toys left out, cushions dusty with leaves--it just didn't have that clean, dialed-in feel we remembered. Later that evening, we thought it'd be fun to rent a golf cart and cruise around, meet people, explore a bit. Called the front desk... and learned that even though they're open 24 hours, golf cart rentals are on a strict 2 PM pick-up / 11 AM drop-off schedule. So if I rented one at 7 PM, I'd still have to return it by 11 AM the next day... for $140. Or wait until 2 PM the next day and miss the whole morning. So basically, no matter what, you're paying for less than a full day. Look--I'm not saying this trip ruined the place for me; it will remain in the rotation of places to consider. But it felt like visiting your favorite restaurant only to find half the menu gone and the rest "temporarily unavailable." As a "Public Service Announcement" for management, this also feels like a missed opportunity for you. This place can be great--I've seen it. But this time around, it just wasn't firing on all cylinders... and honestly, it feels like you are leaving both good impressions and DEFINITELY revenue on the table. PS-my wife says, "have better, cuter, and just more selections in your main store!"

All the amenities are top-notch: clean pools, a fitness room, a dedicated pet area, and the Friday wine tastings. We especially enjoyed the on-site bar and lounge, which is a great spot to relax. For the Presidents' Day weekend, they also hosted a fantastic wine tasting event that was a real highlight of the trip. The unique adult hot tub with waterfall views is a standout, and the buddy sites worked perfectly for our RVs. With reliable Wi-Fi and easy access to the local wineries, it's the perfect balance. The refrigerator was not cooling and we had a lot of food in it for the reunion that we had to throw away. An employee came in and looked at it but they were unable to fix it. It ended up freezing after that which froze the eggs, etc after we refilled it. There was a high pitched squeal coming from the plumbing that kept us up all night the first night but maintenance came in and fixed it the second afternoon. All in all, they tried to be attentive to our needs and tried to accomodate us but they did not have any vacancies to move us. We will not be returning due to the loss we endured with the food and sleep.

The customer service here is very good. We are here for almost two weeks and the average cost per night is $77 though they have a monthly rate that is lower. If you have kids the game room and pool add value. Like other Sun Outdoor locations they operate the daily costs using a hotel reservation system. Laundry and store merchandise are fairly priced. The south mens restroom has one paper towel dispenser that is empty at times. There appears to be an office staff shortage so the Saturday hours are hit and miss, and there are no Sunday hours. Monday through Friday they are often open earlier than advertised and stay until closing.

So no one could use the jacuzzi as this group took over everything. A real lack of trash receptacles.. They rent golf carts here so at all hours there were small children driving them, and if an adult was driving they were flying through the campground. For the cost of these spaces I would expect someone who works here to drive through at 10.15 and shut down the loud loud loud noise, after all, the office said their rangers are sitting in the office, so get in a golf cart and control these out of control people.

When Vince came out a 2nd time, finished work again (ask he kept blaming my truck for the issues). All seemed well, until the next day when I used my trailer I noticed he had unplugged trailer from truck. I found out after I reached my destination the lights won't go out unless you unplug! Again he blames my truck. I gave him a 2nd chance and he failed. The LQ Horse trailer repair business explained: Vince completely mis-wired, the 7 way plug, as well as the wiring he worked on in the back he used house connections not the correct connectors for a trailer. In the future Vince, if you're not sure about something just be honest and state it. Don't blame, or make the situation worse.
