The Vines is a Sun Outdoors Community that offers level concrete pads, working hookups and a pool, hot tub, gym, laundry, dog park, game room and small store. The customer service here is very good. We are here for almost two weeks and the average cost per night is $77 though they have a monthly rate that is lower. If you have kids the game room and pool add value. Like other Sun Outdoor locations they operate the daily costs using a hotel reservation system. Laundry and store merchandise are fairly priced. The south mens restroom has one paper towel dispenser that is empty at times. There appears to be an office staff shortage so the Saturday hours are hit and miss, and there are no Sunday hours. Monday through Friday they are often open earlier than advertised and stay until closing. read more

Terri is the best! She is so accommodating for all your needs!! And this is coming from a family with a child that has been to several campgrounds. All of the staff is friendly and helpful! The lots are kept up as well as the pools! We have 3 ac units as well as a washer and dryer. We have had ZERO issues with ours on a 100 + degree day! The dog areas are manicured and clean. I came to the Vines in an old vintage beat up RV with quite the traumatic story trailing and I have been blessed beyond what I could imagine would be possible. Not only did the staff go out of their way to make accommodations for me, they have adjusted and readjusted and accommodated again and again just to make sure I felt like I was comfortable and my needs were met. They taught me all I know about RVing full time and have been the perfect community of people I have needed to carry me thru tough times. This may not be the best most perfect place for everyone and some may have things to complain about but as for me and my household we are filled with nothing but gratitude for the home I have found here. The bathrooms are always clean and the showers are hot, the pools are clean and available to us. The gym has new equipment and the game room is stocked for a good time. The general store provides basic things that I've needed along the way as well as parts for the RV that I could not do without even tho I didn't know I needed them lol ...Teri is the manager there now and her heart for the people she serves is so evident that you can't help but to love her. All of the dogs are well behaved. I don't hear all the barking that the other review complained about nor do I find that my privacy is that compromised considering how close we are I do feel like I have a lot of privacy still. The spaces are spacious enough to enjoy outside time with friends and family and it's a perfect place to come escape from all the noise of life and tune into what's going on inside our own minds and bodies, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I cannot say enough how amazing the team is at the vines. We stayed for approximately one month and found the entire team, especially Teri, to be extremely friendly and helpful. The park is clean, has large shade trees and a crystal clear pool which was awesome in the warm summer days. They have a great shop with all of the things that you may have forgotten, at reasonable prices. It is right off of the 101 so easy freeway access and close to the top wineries. The "Vines" RV park in Paso Robles is a great place to stay. Just a little north of town, right on 101, the park is clean, well-maintained, and convenient. We were there for one week. "Teri" in the office was really helpful and gave lots of great advice on local wineries and restaurants. Best of all, the rates are very reasonable when compared to other nearby RV parks. read more

not family friendly. we arrived to be told the pool was closed for renovation (over Labor Day weekend). they offered the smaller pool and hot tub. later that day, a security guard told us the manager was looking on the camera and noticed our older children in the hot tub, which wasnt allowed. when I went the next morning to discuss this, both thr manager (via phone) and the front desk lady were unapologetic and rude. you can't advertise something based on amenities and then no longer offer those for the same price. a 20% refund was offered. we cancelled and went to flying flags Avila where they welcomed us with open arms. read more

We stayed here overnight. Our site was extremely small. Our motorhome is 45 ft and it barely fit. There was absolutely no room to park a car. A lot of full-timers, but the park was pretty clean. Office closed on a Sunday so can't comment on that. Not sure we would stay again even overnight. Taking different route home. read more

One of the nicest Rv Resorts my family and I have visited. Not only is it clean and spacious, the staff is amazing! They went above and beyond to help my family when we had truck issues. We were only supposed to stay here one night and after our truck had to be taken to the shop, we ended up stranded for a week! Vines employees accommodated us without hesitation and didn't make us feel like we were imposing. We took this opportunity to check out the dog park and the pools! The dog park is small but grassed and clean. The pool was perfect, heated with a structure built over it for shade. If we are ever in the area of Paso Robles, we will definitely be staying here. Right off the freeway so convenient for an overnight stay but you will need another vehicle to go anywhere for dinner/grocerie/etc... Big (long) level concrete spaces with hedges in between. The rest of the area is asphalt which is very hot in August & the Paso Robles area is usually 100+ degrees. There is a great pool area, a bar & very small dog park with cattle fence & hedge. Per the visible solar panels they may run the power & pool on that (Fabulous for where they are!) Everything in the park was clean except the dog park. So we decided to pay Vines RV Resort a visit. Even though we arrived last minute, Terri and Blanca were very accommodating and made our operation possible. "Luxury RV Sites" not so much I'm not sure why they claim luxury. It's just cement pads on top of each other so no one has any privacy from their neighbors. Definitely not worth the $1600 a month to stay here. You would think for $1600 there would be more and better options offered. It is a very clean campground, I will give them that. It says it includes a picnic table at the back in sites and we were there for 3 months and never saw 1 picnic table. We are dog friendly people, we did not travel with our dogs, the campground is full of dogs which is great, our daughter loved it. Except there was constant barking from all over the campground. My neighbors dogs barked multiple times a day and multiple times at night, constantly waking us all up in the middle of the night and my daughter during her nap midday. They do not enforce their own quiet hour rule. Like I said dogs were constantly barking, people playing loud music, loud diesel pickups and playing loud music driving throughout the campground. They offer a great pool area, one bigger pool but it's always in the shade because of the big solar panels they built. And one smaller pool in full sun which is nice. But it doesn't matter because the water is so cold there's no way we would ever try to take our toddlers swimming in those pools. There's also a large jacuzzi in the shade. It is a family friendly campground unless you have kids that nap during the day. It is very noisy. Not to mention it is located right along the freeway so you're constantly hearing the roaring vehicle and truck sounds from that. They had some tiny homes lining the outside of the campground that they were removing, I'm assuming to make more room for RVs. Which is great Monday-Friday. Then they were removing them Saturday and Sunday as well. Sunday is my husbands only day off and the only full day we get to spend together as a family. And we got to spend our beautiful Sunday sitting outside with our toddler playing and grilling, while listening to the banging and hammering and the loud trucks taking out the tiny homes on a SUNDAY. They do have an awesome building by the pool that offers use of a play/game room, kitchen, grills, and dining room. Which is great but it's constantly filled with people who are not staying in the campground on the weekends, so the people that are staying there and paying for the amenities can't use it on the weekends. Like I said, definitely not worth the $1600 monthly fees for long term living. If you're here for just a night or two might not be that big of a deal. When we first got here we were told it would be $1400 monthly payments and not even a month in we get a call that they are raising the rates to $1600. Quite a joke of a "RV Resort". read more

Stayed there for 4 nights. Park is semi clean, not like the other ones owned by Sun Outdoors. Bathrooms and showers were dirty, hair on the floors in the showers and trash that had not been picked up the entire time we were there. Toilet paper in the men's restroom was empty for 2 days. I've stayed at the other places owned by Sun Outdoors and was expecting a much cleaner place. Women's restroom was out of seat covers for 3 days and their showers were just as dirty as the men's with the trash not emptied. On the bright side, it was very quiet. read more

I would give this place zero stars if possible but sadly it's not. We will not make the mistake of staying here again as it's a huge waste of money. First, when we arrived, the trees were so unkept we were concerned it might take our AC unit right off our RV or damage our solar panels. We were in the very front space so I'm not sure how they didn't notice how low the branches are but this was an issue all over the park. The security guard stated he has mentioned the issue to management but that nothing gets done about it. Then we noticed it's just a slab of concrete, just a space to park, no picnic table or fire pits. The website claims they have two dog parks however that's false, there's only one and it's so full of feces it's absolutely disgusting! Anyone that has dogs must also know that some dogs can be picky where they "go". With that said, we had our 3 dogs with us, one of which is blind and basically only wants to do her business on grass so everyday 3 to 4 times a day, we had to walk them over there and clean up after everyone else's dogs so my blind girl wouldn't walk through poop and let me just say there were some HUGE piles in there as well as around the park. Apparently picking up after your dogs is not a priority here. Basically this is a trailer park with residents running the place and there's a few places for travelers to park their rigs. The residents are rude and disrespectful. There are signs clearly posted for an adult only pool however that is not enforced and 14 or older in the jacuzzi which is not enforced either. If you like a jacuzzi with a bunch of float rings and kids in it then this is your place. Lastly, when I went to take a shower the hot water stopped as soon as I got my shampoo on my head and the showers were closed for 2 days. Even though there is a key code on the bathrooms, they are locked every night from 10:30pm to 7:30am due to homeless people sleeping in there. This was also told to us by security. Not sure how they get in there though since there is a key code to get in. Oh, and the general store is a joke. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. read more

Our dogs were chased, barked and growled at by long-term residents dogs that were not taking care of them (in other words, young kids were letting them run around). The dog park always had dog poop in there, and the long term trailers were very trashy. If they didn't allow long term residents, I'm sure it would be better. read more

I've been staying at this park for two months and it's been good. Riley is outstanding and is always helping when I need it and solving problems in a timely manner. My only complaints for the park would be that I really wish the lounge would open, and that it was better staffed during day when front office takes a lunch, have someone else in office for people checking in, packages being delivered, etc. I have not received packages because of the office being closed, and I have also seen a line of people waiting to check in because of the office being closed. We stopped by to check the place out before making the move. I was impressed by all they had to offer. We've now been here for 4 months and couldn't be happier. This place used to be my family's favorite camp site. Nice pull thru sites, location, and amenities but recently amenities have gone downhill. Seems like there is a mix between people camping for vacation and others living here. There are two pools which (correct me if I'm wrong) used to be one for kids and one for adults. Well that separation is gone and now you have kids running around splashing your books and smartphones as you try to relax poolside. I've stayed at over 70 RV Campgrounds, Parks and Resorts this past year, and this place was terrible. They advertise two dog parks, but there is only one. It was grossly unkept. I would give this place negative stars if I could. This is my first review, first time staying here. Travelers BEWARE of this place! It is NOT a Luxury RV Resort, it's an overpriced, low income mobile home park. Most of the park is Long Term Residents, who run the place with their own set of rules. Their overgrown trees scratched up our 5th Wheel, The Dog Park was disgusting and full of poop piles everyday. The bathrooms were dirty, the showers didn't have hot water and they don't enforce their own "Over 18" pool rules. We were treated very disrespectful for complaining about being splashed and cursed at by the children living in the park. The Security/Maintenance guy sided with the full time residents, and rudely stated, "You aren't the gate keeper of the pool". Then he YELLED from across the pool area, I front of about 50 people, "SITE# (my site number) YOU NEED TO LEAVE THE POOL IMMEDIATELY!" He put myself and my husband's safety in jeopardy at that point, making us scared to go to sleep. The staff were unprofessional rude bullies, who put our safety at risk. We just bought a bumper pull camper and needed to find rv park that accepted full time living. When we first heard about this place we were stoked. We did a walk through and knew we could call this home. It has two pools, a spa, fitness room, event center, laundry and mail for full time residents. We also have dogs and they enjoy seeing everyone that comes through and their dogs as well. There is a large grass dog park (some poop piles do get left to where i have to pick them up to not be stepped in) and there is small pea gravel gated section for dogs as well toward the office which happens to be behind our camp spot so super convenient for our dogs. However, there are no picnic tables, or fire pits but that is okay for me since we have our own chairs and table. Being full timers we have the ability to use this for residency for mail and also we are able to have portable fencing for the dogs at our spot which is all concrete with bushes and was able to avoid the trees on top of the unit (which some spots you have to be more careful as they hang down a tad more. Everyone we have met have been super nice and we have also met some other full times as well so it's so nice having a RV family. Could not recommend this RV resort enough also so close to town. read more

This place doesn't deserve one star there is so many issues here I don't even know where to begin, there security that they have nightly is on another level of harassment, he walks the streets taking pictures of people and any " ordinances that are being broken. They focus on the wrong issues here, instead of harassing and discriminating against children , a autistic child at that.... focus on the real issues of this park poorly ran management who smokes cigarettes walking the street and harasses other residents of the park, gossips and talks about other residents , customer service goes a long way and when someone's title is " customer relations " you think they would understand this. They encourage other residents to tattle on one another so if your staying here long term watch your back because people enjoy calling on other people especially if you have children run!! This place is NOT child friendly they yell at children , have a rule of no children in hot tub but only choose to enforce it with certain residents not everyone. Shouldn't the rules pertain to EVERYONE! They accuse children of going over the "posted " speed limit on there bikes when other residents are seen riding motorized skateboards one wheels and electric scooters or hoverboards.... every night security stops at sites and takes pictures , they will also evict you if they " think you are speeding " although they don't actually have a speed detector radar gun. Corporate also doesn't care these issues have been brought to there attention so run the other way when staying here I am warning you!! read more

Construction going on for over a year, I stayed here a year ago so this is 1st hand experience. They have a store & office but office was closed when I arrived at 1pm & store closed at 10:30am Sunday AM so no last minute breakfast items. She was so kind, helpful and filled us in on everything we needed to know. You don't find many people that are still so kind hearted and helpful these days. We just spent 6 days at The Vines RV Resort. This used to be our favorite place to stay in Paso, but it appears to be going down hill. About 75% of the park sites are occupied with full time or long term residents. Management assigned us a site right in the middle of the long term residents, and we had to maneuver around numerous cars to get in and out of our site. The roads are overcrowded and the long term resident sites are cluttered with "stuff". It would be better if management separated travelers from long term residents, especially since they are charging us $100 a night! While in the area we visited a couple other RV parks that will be getting our business from now on. Sadly, we will not stay at The Vines again. read more

I am a traveling RN. I have been at the Vines RV Resort since early December. Laura, the manager, has been amazing. She assisted me in picking out the best spots and also assisted in picking out some of the best wines at the resort shop. :) Her staff Nicole, Christina, Destiny and Cory are also top notch. They are always available to help and have assisted me (a single person in a new town who does not know anyone else). We have weathered the weather, so to speak. A lot of rain but our leadership team was out there in their duck boots ensuring all of us were safe and dry. I highly recommend this place. My dogs love the dog park which is very nicely kept. . .a huge grassy area. My only complaint is to those others who have been critical of RV'ers who live and work here. Most of us are critical workers at this time. The workers who work on your electrical, cable and telephone lines live here. The healthcare workers who take care of you at the local hospitals work here. These are good, hard-working people. They keep their spots immaculate. Anyone who implies that these people, including me, should not be in RV parks because we are not there to party or picnic should be reminded that these are the people who keep you safe and connected. My little family and my father have lived here for 3 years. I love it. It's a safe environment for my teenagers and my littles. The office staff, and others are always glad to help with anything we need. And are more than happy to take care of any issues that may arise. Great place. I highly recommend this park. It has a pool, weight room, small store and other amenities. If I want to let my dog to run off leash the quiet road outside the park heading east goes past a storage building with a lot of lights for after dark walks. Then over the RR tracks and down to the Salinas River for during the daylight. I have a juvenile big dog that needs to run. This is perfect. They do have a small and big dog park. There is 24 hr surveillance and security guard at night. A very safe and inclusive RV park. read more
