Have used this provider for several years, but they now have "appointment only" so stopping in with…read morea question or request is out. I wanted information on my prescription and left multiple messages and email with no response at all. I'm sure they didn't want me to go elsewhere. They also need a lower price point selection of glasses. Very expensive frames. Very friendly office, but I'm just not happy there and will be changing as soon as it's time for new glasses.

The doctor and Gwen (who handles everything in the office) are very nice people. And they seem fun…read more I joked around with them, and appreciated their sense of humor, etc. I am happy with my glasses, even though I could have spent less online. I feel strongly that you should support some local businesses. But I can't give them a 4 or 5 star, unfortunately. My glasses took one month to arrive, which wouldn't really be a problem (I understand there are some issues with supply chain). I wouldn't even mind that they took four weeks, but the communication all the way through the process was not good. I called three times the week I was told my glasses were supposed to arrive and never heard back. What sort of professional office never returns your call? Looking back on it, I actually had to go to their office to schedule an appointment because I called to be their customer and never heard back for more than two weeks. I was told consistently "You are on my list to call." I've had people I dated and ghosted me who were better at communication. After they told me glasses would arrive in two weeks, and three weeks and four weeks came and they didn't respond to messages, I finally drove to the office and had to summon them to the door (it was 4 PM on one of the three days their offices are open). If you are reducing the days you are open due to COVID (which was what they told me), I can understand that. But you'd think that you would bend over backwards to make sure you service customers the three days you're open. I shouldn't have to call repeatedly to get information about my glasses. I called three times, left a message, and never heard back. I fully believe the last time I called they simply didn't answer my call. That's not professional. My glasses were there when I stopped by. So, the lesson I learned - be a squeaky wheel and you'll get some attention from these folks. I was fitted and paid. No apologies. Nothing like "Sorry we haven't gotten back to you, etc." You'll see another review here on Yelp from someone who also never got calls back. It got to the point where I actually wondered if maybe they were going out of business, and I would be out the money I deposited, which was half my total bill. If they were as efficient in communication as they were in taking my money, they would be the best optometrist in the world. Instead, they are simply average, albeit with great personalities. I liked the people in the office, but I shouldn't have to push them to communicate with me. Here's my feeling: they don't want to really grow the business much any more, and both the doctor and office manager are fine with that. So this business is basically run as a hobby. Wish I could give a better review. I guess if you are ok with bad communication, go with them, but be patient.

This place is a joke! I called to get the information about some glasses made by the North…read moreMuskegon office. I spoke to a woman by the name of LISA. That's all I will refer to her as. She was rude, belittling, and tried to speak down upon me. I had glasses made with them with my insurance and am trying to having another pair with my brother since he is an optician in another state. All I was asking for was the PD measurement and she "LISA" tried telling me that it's against the law and the only way for her to give me that information is to pay $25 more dollars for this simple measurement, which what really means is to "extort more money from me". Than she tried saying this is office policy. So this is office policy to take your measurements for free to make your glasses that my insurance paid for but when it comes to wanting that same measurement now she "LISA" is trying to charge me money. Well I will be making a phone call into my insurance company VSP to look into this further along with their financial records as they are extorting money from others by doing so. This is not good for business as referrals are a foundation for any practice to survive. I will never recommend them to anyone after how I was treated and spoke to.

Not sure what's going on with a 1 star review, so I'll give it a 5. I've been coming here for more…read morethan a decade now. My entire family goes, including my autistic son. They've been nothing but professional and accommodating. They went out of their way to order those Miraflex glasses for my son in more than just the baby sizes that most optometry places carry. And when he breaks them, they're quick to replace them. They've even helped style-clueless me pick out a pair of frames that make me look about as cool as I'll ever get. I've had no problems at all working with this place and my vision insurance. 5 stars. Would recommend
