I have relied on Jack's Guitararcheology to solve those problems for me. Recently, a fret level on a Greco 65 SG model. Superb work by his team. Today, I picked up a 51 Precision Bass reissue that needed a full setup, some serious upper fret work and unusually long screws for the saddles. Jack turned this bass into a superb playing instrument with ease. His clear communication and details of work performed is superb and what every customer should receive anywhere. Full disclosure: I knew Forrest back in the 80s when he recorded my band's music, but until the other day I hadn't done business with him regarding guitar repair or lessons, both of which he now offers. I took in my Martin D-15 for a simple restringing and was a little amazed, if I'm being honest, at the degree of care and confidence he worked. All the while, I badgered him with specific questions about how and why he was doing things I saw--being out of town, I need to be able to do this for myself. He was patient and careful, making this and that suggestion--strings and stringing techniques--and completing his work with the tiniest adjustment of the bow in my guitar's neck, something he'd noticed almost instinctually.
