We came to this place to get some ice cream from Cold Stone, but it turned to be a such a fancy pleasant shopping center. It was open space layout with two floors of structures. In open spaces they had lots of kids activity and relaxing spots. Whole area was kept clean and constantly monitored, excellent service all around. There were several escalators, elevators and restrooms throughout the shopping center. Plenty of parking spots were available all around, pavements could use some improvement. As we walked around for a bit, I found many of my favorite stores like Lululemon, Dick's, Lego, H&M and an Apple Store too. It was a good mix of popular and expensive brands. They had Macy's and Dillard's departmental stores. Several of the restaurants included CFK, Chick fil a, Chipotle, The Cheesecake Factory, Texas De Brazil, Magliano's and lots more. Initially we went just to just visit Cold Stone, but we ended up spending couple of hours at this shopping center. I also found the rare Capital One cafe. We spent time shopping in Dick's as well. Overall I was really impressed by the quality and offering of this shopping center but since it's outdoor, feels very sweaty walking on hot days.. read more

Absolutely love Short Pump Town center! It's such a beautiful shopping center. I feel pretty safe when I'm shopping here. It's right off of Broad street. They have your usually mall stores such as Journeys, Macy, Dillard etc. I love popping into Crate & Barrel and exploring what they got. Few food joints around such as Auntie Anne's. Each store; you'll get great customer service or just okay. Depends on where you shop; the price can be low to high. Lots to explore here. Plenty of parking but it gets super packed during the holidays and summer when the kids are out of school. read more

I am a newbie to Short Pump! This place was absolutely amazing, I can't wait to go back. The selection of stores and variety of items sold were in abundance. The value was a bit unexpected as I assumed this would be more in line with outlet pricing. No biggie though, I thoroughly enjoyed myself here, and the fact that it wasn't completely overwhelming. There is something to be said for an out door mall. I personally enjoy it. Parking can be a lot especially on a busy weekend. But, I've always managed to find a spot. Walking around you are under a rooftop and pretty much protected by the elements. But, overall it is a great place for shopping. There are many stores to shop front, different eateries and various parking lots to choose from. Various stores have a military discount. read more

Visited this outdoor shopping mall in March 2024 and thought it was OK. It has a couple pluses. First, it has a good variety of stores on multiple levels, which include Warby Parker (for glasses) and Dick's Sporting Goods. Second, it's an outdoor mall with escalators which is nice when the weather is pleasant. But I don't think it works as well if it's cold or raining hard outside. On the minus side, the parking lot is not well designed for easy entry and exit. Also, the mall area is a good distance from I-64, so you may have to wait for a while at several traffic lights during periods of heavy traffic. Overall, it was an OK experience - but I'm not sure I would visit again unless there was a need to pickup a specific item from a store here that was unavailable elsewhere. read more

VERY crowded on the day my mom and I stopped in - it was one of the first sunny, warm days of spring and everyone must've had the same idea as us. Parking was a bit of an ordeal with people circling the lots, backups at lights and stop signs, etc. I'd say avoid parking on Saturday at Cheesecake Factory and Crate and Barrel - found much more ample and easier parking at Macy's and Dick's and the walk wasn't that long. Lots of great shops - love the outdoor nature of this mall and really enjoyed spending time with my mom on a sunny Saturday here. It's very clean and they have some nice amenities and public restrooms and working elevators and escalators. read more

I just got back from shopping and it was pleasant, especially since I hate shopping. It's clean, outdoors and it's all secured. There are a bunch of shopping options and a lot of places to eat and drink. It's like it's own ecosystem. Go take a walk around the mall and enjoy the fresh air read more

From what I saw I was impressed. I have long been told Short Pump is not only the largest, but one of the nicest in Virginia. My objective however was park and run to the Apple Store since I was under time constraints. I accidentally parked on the correct side of the huge complex and made myself to Apple. I saw an anchor was out of business., that's not unusual these days with malls. However an escalator broken down was not good. Just prior to Apple I saw teens playing with an oversized Chess board which was cool. Cleanliness wise on my walk I found no debris. Hopefully my next trip is not so rushed so I can walk the entire complex. read more

The mall smells like sewage because there is a sewage problem. Stores constantly smell like excrement and management knows about it and refuses to fix it. This has been going on for five plus years. Petitions have been made and ignored. Maintenance requests made and dismissed. Stores are told to run faucets of water non stop until the smell even slightly goes away. One can't help but wonder the health consequences of people breathing in human waste all the time at work and during their leisure time at the mall. read more

I really liked the aesthetics of this mall. We entered Dillards through the parking lot of a sprawling mall area not unlike many malls I've been to on the East Coast. But once we shopped there and ventured out into the interior, it was an entire courtyard of outside space where you navigate up and down several corridors and two levels of stores and restaurants. The grounds are beautiful and you can shop all of your well known favorites here plus shops I had never heard of. We made stops at Victorias Secret, Sephora, the Apple Store, Pottery Barn, Yankee Candle, etc and Cheesecake Factory for lunch. The only thing that I feel worth mentioning that is completely concerning is most of the walkways are paved with stones that are terribly loose and at times dangerous. A lot of them literally tip up when you step on them which can cause you to lose your balance especially if you're not paying attention. read more

Been coming to Short Pump mall for many years now.... It used to be a lot better, back when malls were a thing, but it's still decent for restaurants and they still do have nicer, somewhat higher-end retailers here. Always plenty of parking and nice selections for food and shopping. read more

I shop at this location every time I'm in town and even online is truly amazing. I needed a gift for a friend and texted Lilly, a fragrance consultant, and asked for samples to decide. She sent them and I chose the Thomas Kosmala Exsupero and a Creed atomizer. Already gave Creed as a gift and needed to have a travel size. It arrived two days later and was nicely gift wrapped. When there are new fragrances and gift with purchase, Lilly lets me know in advance so I can plan to attend. Attached are some pictures from one of the events hosted by Creed. I love this mall, I think it's so cute! I come all the way from Charlottesville just to go here, because they have so many stores and restaurants nearby. I was pleased to see that it had many of the classic "mall" stores such as Victoria's Secret, Pacsun, and H&M. I really recommend going here on a nice sunny day because it is an outdoor mall and it's absolutely beautiful when it's nice outside, with cute decorations like water fountains and such. There are several places to eat in the mall as well as in the surrounding area, so it's convenient to come here for a nice shop and dine. There are also several bathrooms and places to sit around the mall, so there's no reason not to spend a few hours here! Definitely one of my favorite malls I've been to! read more

This place has the best selection of stores anywhere around, including things you rarely see. In addition to all the classics, they have a Lily Pulitzer, home goods places like Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel, maternity wear places, etc. I enjoy the range of food options here especially. There's a juice bar and a Starbucks for quick drinks, plus restaurants at a couple different levels of fancy. As a place to hang out, it's nice if the weather's nice. They have an indoor play area for kids and aesthetic outdoor hangout space. I feel like they could use more directories and more bathrooms, because it can be difficult to find both sometimes. read more

Updating my review to reflect the current pandemic. I have been avoiding going out unless absolutely necessary. This weekend, that absolutely necessary time came! I had an Apple store pickup which meant that I found myself (briefly!) at Short Pump on a Saturday... during Christmas season AND a pandemic. I felt ok about it because A) it was a quick trip and B) I didn't have to physically go into a store. The mall has done a great job with precautions. Some stores are sadly closed (H&M), but others have a system in place. Many of the stores have adopted the mall's Spot Holder system, where you reserve a spot in line to get into a store on your phone. You can pre reserve a time to shop. I love that concept, even though I didn't have a reason to try it. I'll write the Apple Store its own review, because they deserve it (Spoiler alert: corona system is the best I've seen). But the stores at Short Pump as a whole are doing a good job IF YOU MUST go to a mall during a pandemic. The aspect that needs improvement, are the guests. We saw PLENTY of guests either without masks or with their mask not covering their noses. My mom and I developed a funny little red light, yellow light, green light system that we would say whenever we saw someone ahead with no mask (red) or their nose exposed (yellow) to adjust our route to avoid those people. There needs to be security managing this so that everyone feels safe. And if you don't want to wear a mask, then I guess you need to do all your Christmas shopping online! Period. read more

Although I'm not much of a mall girl, preferring smaller venues, consignment shops and thrift stores - I may admit that Short Pump Town Center is a fun and exciting mall. Two floors of stores and beautifully designed. The seasonal decorations and the layout is lovely. They offer escalators and elevators for all your ups and downs! You could literally spend hours here, and we did. I love that they have an Old Navy now. I love to splurge in Nordstrom and Godiva. As most frequent shoppers of Short Pump know, the Apple Store is always packed and the traffic/parking can be a nightmare during peak hours. Also, they could use a couple more directories strategically placed, we got turned around a few time! Lol! The restaurants are out here are nice, but we tried to go to Cooper's Hawk on a Friday night and forget it, so crowded - 2 hour wait. We went elsewhere. If you can deal with the hectic atmosphere, this is a super nice, mondo, fun mall with a huge food court and clean restrooms! read more

Short Pump Town Center is probably the best shopping destination in the Richmond area. It's about 25 minutes from the city up I-64, and it's filled with normal mall stores, like H&M, New York & Co, Loft, Macy's, etc. There are also plenty of restaurants (mostly chains) spread throughout the open air space. The mall is also always packed, especially on the weekends or on nice days. I always have to hunt for a parking space. Leaving the lot terrifies me (as does Short Pump in general). That being said, the mall has its place...and I'll typically visit if I need to refresh my wardrobe in some way or if someone else is behind the wheel. The actual shopping space is also designed really well for a mall. There are plenty of spaces to sit, and it's beautiful in the winter when decorated for Christmas. I was there last weekend, and they had a petting zoo for Easter. It was cute. Busy and loud, but cute. It's nice that there's a mall that doesn't feel like a zombie wasteland still clinging on from the '80s, and I'll continue to visit when necessary. read more

I'm not the biggest fan of malls...but as they go, this one is not too bad. It's the whole idea of trying to park, figuring out where the store is you want and how far you have to walk based on your parking spot. I have to say, this one is well designed and laid out and because of the open court yard concept, it's easy to navigate. Had to go see the MacDr so you park next to Dillards. I was very surprised to see the statue of Chief Powhatan and I really liked the fountains. The Security guards are nice and don't mind giving you directions. read more

This mall is definitely a step above most other malls, not just for Virginia, but even in other cities. Large parking lot, great design, and very clean. A lot of teenagers love to hang around malls, this one I can see why. In the front, it's a large open entrance, like you're walking through a castle. Once you're through, you see large decorations (at least during Christmas time), and other lighting decorations throughout. You see a fountain, and stores lined up all over the walls. It's an outdoor mall, so it feels refreshing to walk around. Most of the stores are mid to higher end, and so it helps add to the appeal of the place. With numerous clothing stores, places to eat, and everything in between, it's hard not to feed your shopping craze here. There was even a VR gaming place when I went! Aside from the usual mall stuff, there were large chess and checkers play sets - great for friends and family to play with. Though not entirely important, but the bathroom that I went to was much nicer than other places, higher end appliances, and cleaner. It's a great mall overall. The design of everything is eye appealing enough that my inner designer could just sit back, stare, and take it all in. Security was there helping lots of people, so thumbs up for them. If you've got extra money to burn for gifts, I would definitely recommend Short Pump Mall. read more

Short Pump Town Center is a truly unique delight - unlike many other "town centers" it really is designed to be like a little village that is fully walkable and a true wholesome community experience whether in pleasant or frigid weather. Before the coronavirus pandemic and associated shutdowns this place was bustling with lively energy - couples, families, shoppers, eaters, those just enjoying the atmosphere - set around its innumerable community gardens and surprising nooks and crannies. I've been to a lot of malls in Virginia, and otherwise, but I have to say this one is easily a marvel and standout because of how it has brought its creative inspiration behind its architecture and design to vivid life. The stores range from large retail name-brands to little shops as well. The parking lots encircle this place and that is much needed given the capacity it would have on a day with nice weather. I can't wait for the day they and their amazing slew of stores re-open and the community of patrons return. Truly worth the visit and an all-around experience that'll leave a lasting impression. read more

"Not your typical enclosed mall.. diff experience.. Collections are good" Short Pump mall is slightly diff from others mall, its open, roam around shops. Sit in the dedicated sitting areas which are covered with beautiful small gardens. They don't have all the shops but whatever they have, have very nice collections but I am disappointed with the price as I went there on 4th July weekend and I did not find a great sale like cases with other malls. They don't have a food court but very nice restaurants on the south side. Macy's, Dick's, Nordstrom, Apple, to name a few. I am not sure in winter how they operate as its open and in windy, it can be tricky. What I like most is, after getting tired, you can sit around the water fountain, gardens. read more

Short Pump Town Center is kinda pretty! When we visited Richmond, VA, we stumbled across the mall, which is an open air mall, originally opened in 2003. Still, as of our visit in January 2019, we saw the multi million dollar renovation that Short pump mentions on their website. Short Pump Town Center has 140 stores and restaurants taking up 62000 square feet. This center is anchored by Dick's Sporting Goods, Dillard's, Macy's, and Nordstrom. It's really not the anchor stores that are interesting though (unless you want to shop there). It's the open air portion of the town center, which has a beautiful water fountain built for selfies (no really, I saw couples taking selfies here). There's also a firepit as well that you can gather around. Taken from their website: "The most significant transition includes a new pedestrian bridge that spans across the Main Plaza, canopies over walkways and a new centrally located feature elevator, all of which allow for easier access to upper and lower level retailers and restaurants." The entire town center is criss crossed with lamps held together with string, so at night it's lit up enough to pull some Ooohs and Aaahs out of you. As the description suggests, the open air mall is not your traditional mall in that the stores are not all covered by a central building or connected. There are two levels at Short Pump, and ample parking, although I can imagine this place is ridiculous during Christmas season (but also very likely beautiful). We only went to a handful of shops and actually didn't purchase anything here, namely Patagonia, capital one cafe, sephora and a souvenir shop. If I lived in Richmond, Short Pump Town Center would be a mall that i'd happily visit. You can blow hours here walking around and hanging out if you so desire....or you can just shot. I just love this mall. It feels like more of a community center than a mall. When the weather is good, you will find loads of families hanging out, having coffee, shopping, eating or just enjoying some time outside. Let's break it down: Decor Such a pretty outdoor mall dotted with fountains, fire pits and beautiful greenery. There's also beautiful lighting and lots of seating around the mall for people to take a break. Stores There are a lot of great stores and you can find just about anything. You won't find Old Navy and other lower end retailers, but solid middle of the road stores like Victoria's Secret, LL Bean, J Crew, Macy's...you get the picture. Food and Restaurants There used to be a sizable food court but it was shut down. Now there's still Chick-fil-a, but there are tons of sit down restaurants, including my favorite The Boathouse. Other selections include Lehja for outstanding Indian food; California Pizza Kitchen; Firebird's, Maggiano's, The Cheesecake Factory, etc. Soon we will enjoy a Mexican restaurant that has a rooftop bar. This is by far the best mall in Richmond. If you're in the area and are itching to do some shopping, definitely visit Short Pump Town Center. read more

One of the best malls we have ever been to. The facility is very well put together and well kept. Staff was very friendly throughout and there were several activities for children. One of our favorites was the train, though it can be quite costly. We had an amazing experience taking Easter pictures and was pleasantly surprised when we realized that the Easter bunny was fluent in American sign language. Whats not to like about this Town Center, in Short Pump?!! You have all the Weather Inside...Literally! I love that "ALL MY FAVOURITE" stores were at this location and most were on the 2nd level. And like the "Oaks;" plenty of walk space and too many AGER'S. Geeesh..... Plus, plus[s] **ALEX AND ANI store was by far the most spacious location I have been in of MOST I've visited. Organized and prompt! **Auntie Anne's Pretzel was a find!! There is a prince somewhere who loves kids and me! The best life savor; when shopping!! Warmest Cupp of Prez, dip sauce and drink! Goooo! **Most of the stores were centrally located near Major Shopping Hubs, such as Macy's etc. **Airy Mall concept was cool; similar to an Outlet but with levels. Parking was chill and non busy! This is the kind of fun, high-end shopping center that Stony Point NEEDS to be, and maybe was at one point. Not that I'm a huge fan of these high-end places, but you actually see people at Short Pump. It's a nice way to go with friends, you don't even really have to buy anything. read more

I remember when this mall first opened up in 2003. It was such a hot spot and it still is, just more chaotic with the traffic. They have definitely added some upgrades since I'd last been here. Astro turf, some new fountains, street lamps, covered seating areas with charging station (sadly not for a iPhone users). Lots of new stores here and still some of the first shops that opened when the mall did. The mall is 2 levels, open air design with escalators and elevators. Plenty of great restaurants like Baker's Crust, Firebirds, Rock Bottom Brewery, Cooper's Hawk, Maggiano's & The Cheesecake Factory to name a few. Bar Louie is here but it's separate in the parking lot facing Broad Street. I'd say Short Pump Town Center is a cross between International Plaza with a bit of Westshore Mall down in Tampa. read more
