I live in Brooklyn and I got a delivery from them within 3 days all the way from Jersey! They are very busy but will do their best to make a delivery on time. Their meat here is great; they are known for their lamb and merguez (a really good beef sausage available mild and hot). I get a pound of merguez a week. Perfect for a quick eggs n toast breakfast and not as greasy and salty as pork/ham. It's my favorite non-pork roll breakfast meat. They also just came out with the Chicken Merguez and it is GREAT with waffles and Sriracha. Aside from the meat selection there are quite a good amount of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean spices and food stuffs all for surprisingly cheap prices. Old-school glass bottled Coke and Pepsi without that High Fructose Corn Syrup crap. Not to get on a soapbox but Smithfield just got bought out by a Chinese food conglomerate: Buy Local.

I pull up and there they are outside their shop. It was Portuguese hardwood chips. I'll get into that in a bit... So now that I'm in, I'm smelling the smoked sausage. It was unreal!!!. So I grab a few bone in rib eyes, some small steaks for the kids and a beautiful horseshoe of the white wine sausage. I've been snacking on that sausage ever since. Slight heat to it, but phenomenal. I start the grill.. These wood chips burn at a very high heat. I'm talking surface of the sun hot. The kid's streaks literally just needed a minute and a half on each side. The rib eye. Wow! One of the best steaks I've had in a very long time. Very little fat. They cut it to order (so I got two 1- inch cuts). Now grilling skill plays a part here so keep an eye on them. Slightly expensive but very much worth it. I've found my new go to place!!
