The best thing about this place is the best sushi place in Morristown, K.C. Sushi - great rolls at a good price, always fresh, highly highly recommended. I walked past 15 times before trying a roll, and now I get dinner there once a week. As a sushi fanatic, I love having it in my backyard and you should too. The sushi here is great and fun to order. Lots of great options for food, and Dominican style avocados during the summer time are impressive. They have an assortment of Asian and Hispanic sweets that please the palate, despite not being familiar tastes. One time I was hoping to buy flowers for my girlfriend after she got back from a long business trip. It was 5 minutes after their closing time and they weren't letting customers in - however, I asked them really nicely and they let me in to buy flowers. Mad love. Well priced flowers. This quirky little store is 1/3 produce and flower market, 1/3 fish market and 1/3 groceries. You walk in, it smells like fish, I hope that's a good sign. But it ain't a farmer's market, and it ain't a sushi place either. As of July 2013 the in-store sushi counter is definitely closed so all those glowing reviews of take-out rolls ain't much help anymore. The produce includes a broad selection of fruits and veggies especially ethnic specialties like yucca and chilies. Outside they sell plants and inside they sell cut flowers. The medium-size fresh-fish counter has whole and cut finfish, scallops and a few clams And there's all sorts of North and Latin American groceries too, stacked high and packed in tightly. Also lots of gourmet jams and jellies, go figure. Here you'll find lots of supplies for central and south American cooking. This review is 90% about the sushi and 10% about the market. Just FYI. Sushi is the best in town. Forget the overpriced nonsense at Sushi Lounge and come here. The guy who makes the sushi is very friendly and an expert sushi roller. Dare I call him an artist? Yes, I dare. When you walk into the market, immediately turn to your right and find the sushi shack. There are always fresh rolls out but the menu is much more extensive and reasonably priced! Highly recommend you give it a shot. Spicy Tuna Crunch and Volcano Roll are drool-worthy. The market itself is pretty cool, too. Lots of Mexican/Latin food as well as a deli and fish section. Hidden gem in Morristown. Make sure you go when the sushi bar is open and you won't be disappointed! Dont' judge this place on looks... judge it on quality and price. The variety of produce here is fantastic and the prices on fresh (very fresh) seafood is amazing! I find it hard to buy seafood anywhere else. You gotta 'know' about this place! Grocery, deli, meats, fresh fish, florist ....all in one combination and very reasonably priced! The quarters are tight and they can expland beyond ethnic foods, but for what it is, it's good. Definatelly unique items. I like that the staff were friendly and everyone tries to help everyone else. Very disappointed with the quality and price of products. Service was horrendous and quite frankly the staff were rude. I went in to pick up a few things and ended up leaving without making a single purchase. They tried to charge double the cost of flowers and when I showed them it was displayed with a price, I was told they made a mistake and put in the wrong place so too bad. I will never return to this market and do not recommend to anyone in the Morristown area. Stay away; better off going to the Super Shoprite 5 minutes for better service (and prices). read more

Dumpy? Well, yes. But it's well-stocked with a surprisingly broad selection of produce, as well as canned goods, beverages and many other products, all at great prices. By shopping here you can spend a fraction of what you would elsewhere, and not have to go to multiple stores trying to hunt down Latin American and Asian ingredients that are sometimes elusive. There's also a deli and a sushi section. Friendly service and they accept credit cards. The only thing not to love? Their hours--they close at 8 PM weekdays. Still, by far the best grocery in Morristown proper--King's is outrageously overpriced and the A&P on Washington Street is a very sad place. read more

After reading the great sushi reviews for this place, I wanted to take a drive up to Motown to see for myself. Unfortunately, the sushi station/area was not open the day I went up. Oh well. I will have to get up here and give it another shot. As far as the actual market goes, I was pretty impressed by the size and they had a pretty big selection. Great prices on both fruits and vegetables (apples and tomatoes, specifically) and they have a huge seafood section. The deli sells Boar's Head products. Overall, a solid market that has tons of fresh fruit and veggies, and apparently great sushi. If the sushi is amazing, then I will definitely update my review accordingly. read more

I've shopped here since they opened. ALL the kudos are correct. Yes, dumpy is an adjective that applies, but notice NO ONE said the place is unclean. I say it's got an ethnic flavor. If I want luxury in atmosphere yes, M-town has other places you can shop. But, NONE will have the oddities you might be looking for under one roof. For milk drinkers, their price beats Walmart. note, if you read reviews about a sushi stand? that's an old review, there's no sushi stand now. plus, WHY? there's sushi chefs everywhere else in morristown. veggies are about 30% cheaper here. for instance squash is like 1.29 here and 1.99 at all the major supermakets. (i go to them all, acme, shop right, stop and shop, kings... etc) you'll also find more veggies and fruits here than anywhere else. (shop rite is pretty close tho) for the best price. they even have kim-chi, holy crap, i don't have to drive all the way to h-mart for it. it is also ethnic, mexican and chinese, pretty much the best kind of ethnic grocers! read more

We accidentally walked in this store as we went to the Staple next door. We were surprised for the is "hidden" store close to train station which I did not know for years. Apparently, it has most of your need for daily grocery. No sushi anymore. You can find lots of center-Amrican food and spicy. The price is 10%~20% less than ShopRite. They a full list of meat and fish options, fresh and frozen. However, I did not see a lot of customer traffic here on a Saturday morning, so I am a little wondered. read more

I've been shopping at the Morristown Wholefoods since the stores inception last year- mainly because of where the store is situated being close proximity to my house initially. I must say, after shopping here I found I was always thoroughly impressed with how immaculate the store was in general and how well organized the products were with shelves perfectly stacked! This brand puts such great emphasis on the small details and their product placement and presentations are done extraordinarily well. I usually find myself gazing at the raw food cases, e.g., steak, chicken, pork, as well as the seafood display with all the fresh catches laid out over ice- both departments are done meticulously well and the food always looks absolutely amazing. Although I do suggest not going shopping here while you're hungry or you'll buy the entire store! :) The prices @ WF's do reflect their attention to detail and above average services provided making WF's not your cheapest option in Morristown, i.e., Shoprite Morris Plains or Acme Randolph. However WF's is certainly comparable to Kings price wise and as they say... in life we always get what we pay for at day's end. If you want the best products & services, you'll have to pay a little extra for them- this holds true for any category of retail you're shopping in. I find the stores employees are always very helpful anytime I have questions for them and they will provide me with very well detailed responses to whatever product I'm asking them about- usually they will go above and beyond what I'd expect from someone working at a grocer. A bonus - it seems the people shopping @ WF's are usually rather good looking people in general, as are the stores employees, a superficial caveat yes, but certainly it doesn't hurt to look at pretty people after a long day at the office! :) I would strongly recommend people try Wholefoods in Morristown the next time they're in the area. Note: try shopping during non-rush hour times, i.e., avoid evening rush as traffic can be very constrained and parking is harder to find during evening rush hours. Other than that, a huge upgrade from that old dirty A&P, although A&P did have sentimental value for me personally as I'd shop there as a little kid with my father when we were living on Old Army Post Road back in the late 70's and early 80's.
