When asked about getting my results, they couldn't give me a positive answer as to if I or my doctor would be faxed the results. I wondered why I was even there? After waiting over a week to see if my hand was broken, I called hospital asking for a copy of radiology report. I had not indeed received a notification to my patient portal. Uncooperative! It's a county supported facility! This is just one of my less than satisfactory experiences at this facility. If you can make it to CDA for ER care you would be better off. Your physician will hopefully be served better than mine. Mine seems to have been singled out.

Sure, it's a small town and a small hospital. They didn't have an army of specialists and the newest diagnostic gadgets but what they did have was a team of caring and dedicated medical personnel who treated our friend with great compassion and respect. The people of Kellogg are lucky to live among such caring folks and to have such a competent hospital available when they need care. I don't recommend having a medical emergency anywhere but it's comforting to know that small town hospitals are available when needed.

Spent an hour with NP Freed, very comfortable visit, never felt pressured for time or information, just got to know me, what I needed, where I was coming from. Great folks! Lab work done immediately, results back next day, great communications from Freed and the office, and I know exactly where I stand physically! Plus it was a lot more economical than prior providers! His foot was bleeding profusely when we went in and the foot was wrapped in a towel. He is elderly and had a hip replacement 2 wks ago. Also is a diabetic and a bleeder. At the desk, they were more concerned with checking to make sure we could pay rather than check the bleed. They went through detailed information, asking if he still took some meds, several of which he had taken only 1 time 20 yrs back. I understand the need to check records but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know the most important thing is to stop the bleed. There were at least 5 people working and only 1 patient. Although we were grateful for Samantha's cleaning and bandaging, overall we didnt feel totally confident of the judgement of the heavily tattooed staff.

I had to file a credit card dispute. I am also certain they took unnecessary biopsies from healthy tissue to pad their bottom line.

But because I mentioned I had a recent issue with a frozen shoulder, I was billed additional service/appointment doubling the cost of my annual checkup. There were no referrals given or anything else related to the shoulder other than mentioning it (like 30 second discussion). I was charged an extra $415 for "Moderate Complexity Medical Decision Making" regarding the frozen shoulder. Yes my insurance paid for it, but I feel Providence is basically running an insurance scam.

He has provided good guidelines, always been very supportive and encouraged me to hit medical goals. They deal with routine stuff in house, but they are also quite good at sending me out for referrals if further investigation is required. Front office staff has always been courteous, and they have dealt with me promptly. I have always had great experiences there and I will continue to recommend them to friends.
