Shout and About is a small boutique shop located in Echo Park that sells various gifts and greeting cards. This is the flagship shop opened in 2015 and there are currently three brick-and-mortar locations in Echo Park, Carlsbad, and Encinitas. [Parking]: Parking is very difficult in this part of town. I got really lucky and found a residential street spot on Grafton St. [Merchandise]: The shop offers many cute gifts including home goods, scented candles, tote bags, and a section with items for children and babies such as children's books and random animal plushies. I like some of their greeting card designs, but there is not much of a stationery selection. There is also a mini print vending machine at the front entrance. [Conclusion]: I am not sure whether I would drive out of my way just to shop for gifts here as there are too many random items. It would be nicer if the shop focused on a more specific niche category rather than being a jack-of-all-trades gift store. read more

We were in the area headed to the LA ZOO and wanted to check out this store. Loved it! Small but mighty with lots of merch for everyone. Baby books, stationary, decorations you name it. I went right at open and the cashier was friendly. Left with a children's book and a sticker for $16. There was a couple stores on the same block that weren't open but next time! Located on Echo Park Avenue, among a little cluster of shops and cafés, Shout and About is a cute little gift shop with an emphasis on young children. In this tiny shop there are the typical things you'd expect in a Los Angeles area gift store: funny cards, scented candles, stationary, bags, stuffed animals and the like. However, I will say that they had some interesting items that I don't see nearly as often. For example, they had taper candles in multiple sizes and colors. As I said, this places definitely has en emphasis on kids. There are baby clothes, stickers, toys and the like. The prices are about typical of such stores: not cheap, but not outrageous either. The clerk on duty was pleasant and helpful. A sweet place to stop by, especially for gifts for young children. read more

I was on the hunt for a birthday card for my boyfriend and found just the thing - echoing other reviewers, this place would be great if you're looking for a generic gift, although I'll say it was more of a feminine leaning store in its goods. It's very small and I wish that their offering was a bit more unique, I felt like there wasn't anything that really wowed me. There also isn't a lot of stationary. I recently shopped at Shout and About. I came across their shop in Yelp while was doing Christmas shopping. It is a small store so it is hard to find at first, and parking is also quite challenging. I was greeted by a warm welcome by the person working there. I was overjoyed by all the cute gifts I can find. Though it was kinda pricy. I was short in time so I had to hurry. I LIVE for a good gift shop!!! I was strolling around in the neighborhood & the window display of this shop caught my eye! They have a little bit of everything here. iPhone cases, bags, journals, planners, art, wrapping paper, cards, etc!! This is a girly girl's heaven with just the right amount of cute (you won't be annoyed or nauseated by the amount of cute here). I walked away with a very reasonably priced watercolor pastel painting with the frame (under $40!!), a planner, a book and some cards. It made my day! ;-D The customer service was great! From adorable home-goods to irresistible party items to the most enchanting cards -- this place is definitely one of my new favorite spots in LA. It's a tiny store, but there is so much to look at and so much to discover. Just the most inspired gift shop ever. The fact that I can find something for every occasion in a pinch has made me go here for everything. It's improved my relationships with friends that have moved out of state by making it effortless to send the cutest notes & cards. I have jewelry, candles, stationary and plants that I found there that I ADORE. They sell items from local independent artists too. I pop in once a week because I don't want to miss anything. Absolutely love this shop. Tamara does an incredible job of sourcing local crafts, jewelry and other fun home offerings. Her prices are very reasonable, and she is so helpful. I special ordered a bracelet that had sold out, and she went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with what I got. The bracelet is absolutely gorgeous, and I ended up buying a ring as well.
