Horrendous. Started back in April, didn't get doors installed until July. Be prepared to get a phone call from them every day in between, but when you call them with a problem, they will blatantly ignore you and not answer your call. Took 2 times to measure (each time lasting over FOUR HOURS to MEASURE), took 2 times to install (SIX hours each time to install). They will always be at least 3-4 hours late to arrive, even scheduling months in advance. I had a flight to catch and they said they'd be there at 730am, did not arrive until 11am. One day, they were here til 9 pm on a Friday. When taking measurements, the owner on the phone told me doors *HAD* to come down that day. The guy showed up and didnt have any tools or a van to haul away doors, so the doors stood leaning in our bathroom for over two months. Come installation day, of course the measurements were wrong. We did not have a shower for 3 months, what's another 3 weeks? Installation was sloppy and glue so thick and globby, completely uneven, I could have done a better job myself. The screws were installed crooked, wonky and not flush, they did not even use the same color screws as the hardware so it sticks out like a sore thumb. Price was not what was verbalized to us, we tried to stop payment once we saw how shoddy installation was, but they had cashed the check within hours. We were so sick of dealing with this company, we did not ever want to talk to them again to get it fixed. They left our shower an absolute mess, disgusting, tile turned black with dirt, wrappers and trash everywhere. The owner seems like he is abusive to the workers, at least 2 of the hours the workers would be here they spent on the phone getting yelled at or yelling at the owner. They couldn't make any decisions without talking to the owner. It was truly the worst experience with a subcontractor of all time, and we deal with contractors every day. We could have gutted and renovated the bathroom in less time than it took to get new doors, and we probably should have. Avoid this ancient, incompetent company. read more

I just had my shower door installed last night. While there were problems with scheduling-not of their doing-the door arrived chipped and they would not install it-they were in constant contact, and even gave me a discount for the change in delivery/install dates. They came out and measured, and within a week, my door is in. The door is beautiful; It's heavy, and we chose a mitered door handle, which is really nice and exactly what I was looking for. No gobs of silicone/caulking, either. A friend recommended them, I would too. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with work and service performed by T.J Company. It has been less then one year since our shower door installation when black mold appeared at the bottom of glass panel. In addition, the seal they installed broke and all shower water started to leak through the installed door and into our bathroom floor. It is worth noting that have been regularly cleaning this door inside and outside since it was installed. This company claims to offer life time warranty except for covering issues related with mold and mildew - which I was fine with ... All until I encountered the most unprofessional and rude service by their owner TJ after I called and tried to make them fix the broken silicon seal on my door. After numerous attempts to fix the issue and referencing their "life time warranty" TJ refused to resolve this problem. I ended up removing damaged silicon by myself and to my surprise I discovered that the hardware on the bottom of the floor that the glass panels rest on was not even anchored to the floor!!! That's right! THIS extremely heavy GLASS panel does not have anything to hold it to the floor except for silicon! This is violation of code and poses life hazard.... Their owner T.J who I called was extremely rude on the phone and called me a "liar" when all I asked was to have someone come and reseal their unprofessionally installed door that can one day kill you. I strongly recommend never to use this company as I'm working on taking this company to small claims court. read more

Way too many issues to cover in detail but scheduling, arriving on time, calling before arriving were some of the upfront issues. I had to rearrange my work schedule way too many times for this company. As far as the actual install goes, the person measuring and installing does not know enough about glass systems to do his job properly. We have obscene gaps (at least 3/8") that they thought would look nice by just applying loads of silicone. It looks hideous. This was all after we had numerous rescheduling issues because of their glass supplier failing to produce the glass on time and/or on quality. Bottom line, this looks like a DIY job and I could have done this sort of work myself at a fraction of the cost and less headaches. Very disappointed in this company and my shower enclosure for the large sum of money I spent. I would not recommend. read more

HORRIBLE COMPANY ! Avoid. After waiting a month for the custom glass shower door ... Workers improperly installed. Damaged our new marble tile and scratched the door hinge. We alerted the owner immediately. He demanded full payment for the shower door stating if we did not pay he would call the police. The Owner was belligerent, abrasive and would not allow us to speak. After several spirited discussions, Owner finally agreed to reimburse us for the marble tile repair and replace the hinge. We paid for the repair the following week and supplied full documentation for reimbursement to TJ (Owner). $300 later and TJ is no longer answering our calls/texts/emails. Do not use this Company. Horrible. We will seek Legal recourse. read more

What a pleasure it was to work with TJ. I had a wall matter that had to be addressed when the installer Wendall responded in October. He was not able to complete the install the glass enclosure. After having the repair completed, it was nice to see Wendall return to complete the install. He is very professional and I'm happy with the job. In my future project, I will hire Shower Doors by T.J. and will request Wendall for the installation of my glass enclosure. read more

"Don't Waste Your Time" . . . Shopping around yesterday to replace a framed shower door with frameless glass. Called several companies for estimates including these guys. I get a call today from a guy - never identifying himself (I just caught the company name), asking about my inquiry for a shower door. I told him I was all set, that a competitor came by measured everything and give me a nice quote yesterday. This guy starts ranting about how "he doesn't charge a $150 for an estimate, they are the only company that can do an estimate in five minutes over the phone, congrats on paying too much." I tried stating that there was no charge for my written estimate; but that did not suffice for him. He insisted that there was (not sure how he could see my written estimate) or written quote for the job that's currently in my hands. Yet, he continues his rant and the hung up on me. No problem, just sent a text message reminding him that he called me a day late - after I was taking care of. So, after not being proactive in his response time he elected to be re-active, defensive, and insulting when he lost an opportunity for business. As I told him and to anyone looking at this company; his attitude is likely the best sample of company's work, quality, and customer service before and after the sale. First impressions . . . stay away and move on from this one. read more

The door was installed with the hinges on the wrong side. I pointed out their mistake and instructed them it had to be reversed. Unfortunately they had drilled holes in the new marble tile and it would need to be replaced. They also scratched one of the hinges and it would have to be replaced. I tried to work with TJ on a partial payment for the install until the tile repair could be completed, then we could settle up. He refused and became agitated and rude. He interrupted me often and would not let me finish a statement. His solution was to remove the door until the repair was completed, then come back and install it again or leave it and me pay the invoice. He said I should trust him and he would reimburse me for all of the cost to replace the tile. He provided an email stating that he would reimburse the repair expenses, so paid the install bill in full. I had the tile replaced and even though TJ didn't request and invoice initially, I provided an invoice signed by my tile installer for materials and labor. TJ then requested a picture of the repair and I provided it. He has said he doesn't trust me and refuses to pay the repair invoice. They claim that the hinge is on back order, so it has yet to be replaced. This may be true, but I have no way to verify it. TJ has resorted to name calling in his emails and has shown his total lack of professionalism. The manager and installers were pleasant and have nothing against them. The owner is the issue here and I wouldn't recommend this company. read more

Great product. Worst possible customer service. You call. It takes days to get a reply. Yes they have a life time warranty but they are so understaffed they have a hard time honoring it. As an example. Had appointment last week Friday. Repair guy had strep throat. No other backfill. Booked for Monday at 7 pm. At 9 pm still not here. They are grossly understaffed. It takes days for the office staff to reply. Then it is basically if they are available. No customer focus on the repair or install. read more

I recently had them install some glass shower walls/doors. It was a corner unit with a few panels, so more complex than normal. They were the cheapest of a couple of estimates, their turnaround time was good (even over xmas/new years), and the result was perfect! The 2 guys (forget their names) that did both the estimate and the install were great! Would definitely recommend! read more

Pros: Great customer service, good pricing, friendly and knowledgeable to talk to Cons: They don't have a show room or take credit cards. But all the pictures on their website are nice, and they will show you anything you want to see and help walk you through the process. All in all: nice folks to work with and a very easy buy from a local company. read more
