I think the picture speaks for itself. This is the finished product left by the Showercrafter installers. Installing a new shower door in an existing tiled shower is their business and expertise. The end result should not look like this. I was told by the installers they would come back to rectify. Well its been 18months and nothing. DO NOT do business with this company - As you can see by the pictures attached, the work was done poorly and the customer service is absolutely pitiful. We paid over $2000 for a custom glass shower door that does not close properly and have been unsuccessfully attempting to get resolution to the matter. We got 1 response despite numerous voicemails and texts on both the business and the owner's personal cell phone. We even went to their business numerous times with no luck. Rip off!! Walked in to replace shower door drip rail (little plastic liner on bottom to prevent water from getting out). They wanted $47 for a 30in piece of plastic. Immediately looked on Amazon and saw the exact item for $12, with free shipping. Ordered from Amazon, recieved next day, fit like a glove. So, December 12th will mark 2-months since money was put down on securing our shower project that was estimated robe completed in 3-weeks tops. The past five weeks we've been trying to contact the fabrication team (because the main number (sales) doesn't have your job order status)...has been filled with nothing but re-direction & empty promises. At this point, my contractor cannot even get in-touch with the manager manager nor Raj to cancel this project & get his money refunded. This delays my bathroom project, and now makes my contractor look bad because his work is incomplete. I am urging my contractor to take legal action on this matter as soon as possible. My family had Showercrafters install 2 sets of shower doors approximately two years ago. Since the installation we have had nothing but trouble with the doors in both showers... leaking, doors getting stuck while we are in the shower, door get stuck and difficult to open. Their customer service is terrible. We finally outlived the warranty with issues and now have to pay out of pocket for every service repair for the SAME problems. The customer service is terrible... try getting someone to help you in a timely manner!!!!! I would never recommend them or use them again. They ruined my bathroom and my mom's! I purchased shower doors, I paid in full in cash and it has been less than one month and there are problems with the doors and the quality of the installation. A FRAUD and a CROOK, STAY AWAY!!! A sheisty business. Everything that comes out of Bill's (the owner) mouth are a sales pitch, but that's it'! It's been over 2 years, since the original purchase. His son was the salesman at the time, sold me the doors I wanted, ordered a completely wrong door. They came to measure the first before the install, said the walls were great, perfect for the install. Came installed the wrong door, leaked from the moment of the install. Then still wanted to be paid. Bill steps in with his sales BS (great talker), how they stand behind their products and work. Then asks for sympathy for his "young college student son trying to make a living made mistake" story. Offers me to order me the correct door if I want, or leave that door without asking for the balance of the money. I wanted the original door. He starts with the barking that then I'd have to order new glass and they don't make that "special" glass anymore. I'm more inclined to believe he stopped paying his suppliers, and can't get anymore product. I gave in, saying as long as they get this door to stop leaking all over the bathroom floor, I would let it go. They must've been back at least 4 times to try to stop it from leaking. Then he started blaming the walls being too level and plum, saying that it's not giving proper drainage. Finally, they hire some new kid with a brain for problem solving, and he corrects the problem some how. I make sure to tell him to instruct the other technicians, including Bill the owner, of the solution. I think Bill beats the employees out of money because you never see them again, always someone new This lasts about 6 months, and the door starts leaking again. I call the shop and the kid hasn't been there again, and Bill's refusing to fix the problem, until I pay him for the door that I never received. After 6 weeks I went to another guy in Franklin Square, he completed the job in less than 2 weeks. But now the fun began, getting my payment back!! What hustlers these people are! AVOID THESE SCAMMERS AT ALL COSTS! We ordered a shower door in Sept 2012. We were told it would be done in 3wks. Bill came to measure in 5 days and took a deposit. This started a 6 MONTH ordeal. Set up an installation date, which came and went. My husband called. People never called back when they said they would. Excuse after excuse, canceled appointment after canceled appointment. The glass broke. The factory had an explosion. The installer had an emergency. We finally realized that we would not get our shower door or deposit back. Finally, at he end of November, my husband disputed the charge with the credit card company. They called and recorded all the conversations, and threatened to take back our deposit. Finally, in February, Showercrafters said they had the glass. Did half an installation, and taped it there, and left. Mind you we live in a house gutted after Superstorm Sandy, and they left us with no functioning shower. In February. After 6 recorded calls, where the bank caught these scumbags in a lie, they refunded our deposit. Then, when they did not have our money, gee, they called us back. Finally finished the installation, and the installer did a good job. The quality of the work was fine. PLEASE HEED MY WARNING. IF WE HAD NOT BEEN PERSISTENT AND GOTTEN OUR BANK INVOLVED, THEY WOULD HAVE KEPT OUR DEPOSIT AND DONE HALF AN INSTALLATION. I am currently in the throes of hell with shower crafters ordered a replacement shower door a month ago and have called and visit their shop to be told bill is the only one who can update me- I have left 7 messages for him at store and on cell including text and he still hasn't gotten back to me. It has been ridiculous I would never recommend this company and would give it a -10 but u have to add a star unfortunately First of all Bill, this was a year and half ago that the review was written. Second there was no payment issue so please stop lying! Third of all the major complaint was your lack of good citizenship by failing to response after nearly a dozen attempts at trying to reach you. In addition, the owner came by to check the installation and discuss our issues. My wife met with him, discussed our frustration, and was satisfied with the result. Thanks for replacing the special screws for our shower doors. The screws were damaged when a plumber's helper took apart the shower door assembly to door repair work on the shower floor. When the doors were replaced we saw they were damaged. Thanks again! read more

I'm very unhappy with the service they provided. They broke our brand new tile and painted it with cheap (different color) paint just to cover it up. Didn't even mentioned to us when they were done with the service. I had the shower door for about three months and the piece that holds the water from falling off the bathtub pilled off. They installed the bathroom door out of the lines of the tiles. I should've known their quality when they came into our house (and I just've had a newborn baby) with their work shoes and stepped inside our bathtub. I didn't listen to my instinct and let them do their job. After complaining, million calls and emails, I was expecting they would come and try to fix the mess they did. Some emails I am waiting for an answer until today. My tyle is still broken, the door looks out of the center and water does not stop dripping out of our bathtub. Good advice... please find another place to install your shower door. At least a more respectful one. read more

No one answers the phone for service, as they are swamped with "installs" I was told. Stop installing your junk and spend time fixing your doors! I have been calling literally for months. STAY AWAY 3/16/2013 Store - scheduled measuring 3/23/2013 Bill measured shower 4/10/2013 Spoke to Brian, was told to call next week to schedule appt. to measure second time. 4/17/2013 Brian said I have to scheduled appt. second measurement. Brian was the cause of things falling thru the cracks 4/18/2013 Stephanie scheduled second appt. for measurement 4/20/13. 4/19/2013 Stephanie was going to call me before 4:00 regarding office meeting re Brian. Spoke to Sal Acct. No call back. 4/20/2013 Scheduled - 4:00-5:00 No show for second measurement 4/22/2013 Called Stephanie left messages 9:35, 9:50, 10:40 Spoke to Stephanie will call back in 1 or 2 hours to find out why project manager didn't show on Saturday. Rescheduled second measure for 4/27/12 1:00-2:00 Left messages for Stephanie 2:35, 3:20 4/22/2013 Brian left messages 9:10, 9:35 2:35 spoke to Brian asked me to call back at 3:30 3:35 - Spoke to Brian, scheduled installation for Thursday May 2. Call May 1 for time. 5/1/2013 Brian left messages 11:00, 12:15, 1:31, 2:35 spoke to Brian will call me back, 2:50, 3:15 will call back 10-15mts. I have a receipt handwritten by our salesperson detailing the type of glass that would be installed, and was not. Currently, they have sent us to a collection firm. We are attempting to dispute. This review is based completely off the customer service and installation turnaround time. I was told 10 business days for installation once measurements were completed. Keep in mind that it took them a week to come do measurements. I am now on the 12th business day and my glass has not even begun the fabrication process. Therefore, my glass will take another 10-14 business days according to the fabrication office. I keep calling and cannot get the manager to call me back. I will update this review once the glass is installed. The tile work was also completely done at the time of measurement. read more

My husband walked in (without research) & gave them a deposit to change our shower door. He did not know that the tiles needed to be changed first. A half year later, I had the tiles put in. Shower crafters did not forget about us. During the time it took to find the right tiles, they called periodically just to see if we were ready. When we were ready, they came out measured, and installed the door. They did a great job. The door is beautiful, sturdy, & well made. read more

As a follow up to my past review, in the end Showercrafters did the right thing, they redid the job and we have not had a problem with shower doors they re installed. At the time we had originally ordered they were going through restructuring and had several issues with follow up and quality, whatever the issues were, they seem to have righted the ship. I would recommend any other shower vendor company in Nassau. If you do a walk through at the store they will promise you a 10 day turn around. I purchased 3 shower doors for my 3 bathrooms over 5 weeks ago. They did the walk through and took the deposit. A month later, I get a text stating they are coming to install the shower doors. I took a day off only to learn they are installing a single shower door which I was charged for on top of the deposit. So, now I am out 3k out of pocket with two doors still " in production". I have been calling the store for two weeks and a gentleman by the name of Xavier has simply been my punching bag. He is completely handcuffed and can't even get the service team to call me back. I have waited for two weeks and still have no answer on when I can anticipate to have this job completed. I actually would like a refund at this point as I can't imagine anyone would do a worse job of handling such a simple install! They are not competitive on pricing by any means and there are 15 retailers out there as competitors that I regret not giving an opportunity too!
