I would recommend any other shower vendor company in Nassau. If you do a walk through at the store they will promise you a 10 day turn around. I purchased 3 shower doors for my 3 bathrooms over 5 weeks ago. They did the walk through and took the deposit. A month later, I get a text stating they are coming to install the shower doors. I took a day off only to learn they are installing a single shower door which I was charged for on top of the deposit. So, now I am out 3k out of pocket with two doors still " in production". I have been calling the store for two weeks and a gentleman by the name of Xavier has simply been my punching bag. He is completely handcuffed and can't even get the service team to call me back. I have waited for two weeks and still have no answer on when I can anticipate to have this job completed. I actually would like a refund at this point as I can't imagine anyone would do a worse job of handling such a simple install! They are not competitive on pricing by any means and there are 15 retailers out there as competitors that I regret not giving an opportunity too! Whatever you do, do not use this company. They not only smashed our shower door upon install, but they damaged the saddle and now I am just out of the warranty and the shower is leaking. I was told when purchasing that it is a lifetime warranty. Yeah right, they are dishonest and do horrible work. I also took off from work several times and was stood up by the service team. We purchased two shower enclosures from Showercrafters three and a half years ago. At that time we were promised that there would be lifetime maintenance of the shower, including parts cleaners and squeegees. Showercrafters website includes a lifetime guarantee against defects. Shower #1 - upstairs requires replacement of the bottom plastic strip. The current one is twisted and the door is difficult to open. Shower #2 - downstairs has multiple issues. The primary issue is that the glass door is warped. It was not that way when installed, yet it is noticeably warped, causing the middle edge of the door to be separated from the plastic strip almost a quarter of an inch. Further, the bottom plastic strip needs to be replaced. Both issues cause water to drip out of the door. I started calling Showercrafters, on June 11, 2013, followed by multiple calls asking for a return call to set up a maintenance call. I never received any return calls to set up a maintenance date. Calls asking for owner Bill Benke, also were not returned. After 5 calls, I was able to get a house call. When the technician arrived he looked at the issues and confirmed that door #1 needed strip replacement and door #2 was warped and also needed strip replacement. He then told me that he could not do anything until I agreed to being charged $90 per hour plus parts. I refused, as I was told when I bought the showers these issues were to be resolved as long as I owned my home. I immediately contacted Showercrafters and was told that they were going to review my situation and let me know. After my having to call them multiple times, I was finally told that they would not waive the charges, or fix the warped door. Again, the door is defective, and they advertise a lifetime guarantee of their products. After about six weeks I have been told they will not honor their guarantee without my paying their fees. I will pay someone else if I have to, but will never do business there again. As a consumer all I can do is tell everyone I can about my experience. I am also waiting to see if the Better Business Bureau complaint will do anything, but I doubt it. read more

This is a horrible company. Do not use them. We had an expensive door installed years ago and it was never right. They were no shows to fix it numerous times and the few times they showed up did not make a difference. The owner even stood up our contractor once and he will never recommend them again. This year the door finally fell off and slammed me in my face. Luckily it was not one of my kids taking a shower. Showercrafters never responded to our numerous calls and we found another company to fix it. Turns out the door was two heavy for just two hinges. Please heed my warning. "I should have known better". I stopped in and priced some showewr doors. The next day Mr. Smyth called and said that they could do a little better on the price. He gave us a cash price. (first and second flag something was up) I took the bait and waited. About a week after the so called "promised date", I got a call from a woman telling me what days I will have a final measure and then an install. Since the dates did not work for me, she said someone will call me and she hung up on me. Someone else called me and we agreed on a measure date and an install date. The meaasure went great. The install date came and went, not a call not an email- nada.No big deal but I did have to burn a vacation day from work. The next day I called (all day) and got a voice mail (all day), Later I called sales, who claimed the install phone lines were down, (so.. how did the voice mail pick up?) Anyway, 4 days of calling and emailing getting nowhere- finally reached a woman who sounded sick, telling me she was sick and that nobody at showercrafters cares, that she could work at McDonalds and feed her family for the same money they pay. She went on and on about the night manager and everyone else there-- oh boy. She gave me a date to install... In 3 weeks, as i told her I was going away on vacation. While on vacation, Installation dept. called and sdaid they were coming tomorrow afternoon to install. I said great! Im in Florida- and who said we had an appointment for tomorrow? They of course had no answer, and I reconfirmed the date I made with the sick unhappy lady. I came home from vacation and three days later- they show up at my house as I am leaving for work, UUUHHH hello? Our install appointment is for tomorrow! I called again and finally spoke to Mr. Smyth who promised to call me back to get it all taken care of, anyone want to guess if Mr. Smyth called me back? You got it, nope. So I stopped in the showroom, -- Mr. Smyth said he didnt call becasue he had nothing to tell me..lol - ok so just make me angry and get me off the phone. I would use a credit card next time, this way I could have some recourse and get my money back. Here we are in mid April- no shower doors - no answers on when they will show for a set appontment. I had no problem with the installation dates they were on time . But problem started after installation the door leaks from the side . They have come 3 times and can't fix it right . One guy told be they are supposed to leak . Are for real !! Paid all this money for the door to leak ? It seems to me the door was not cut right and the gap on the bottom side is larger then the top . Would never use them or recommend them . read more

I apologies for the length of this review as its a reflection of how long this process took do to their incompetence. I should have read the reviews before continuing with the sale of my shower in closure. I was recommended by a friend who has worked with them on construction products, add that to their close proximity to my home and I thought "its on them to do a good job". First don't believe much from the sales reps when it comes to customer service, they wont tell you but they have nothing to do with your issues other than selling thats for another department all together. Initially my measurement and installation was processed within 10 days from purchase. I was unable to be home for the installation and came home to a door that was upside down, two trim peaces were cut jagged and short and the door handle I ordered was on back order with a piece of plastic rope as a temporary handle (you would think to schedule installation when all the materials are in hand) 6/19/14. So this is where everything started to go to hell. I contacted both sales rep (Raj) and customer service manager (Frank) to inform them of my issues and was told I would hear back from Frank once he discussed the details with the installer. I was assured that the issue could be corrected no sight and was scheduled a service call for 6/27/14. During the service call more errors had come apparent to the "Lead installer" (Robert) and came to the conclusion that a new door would be cut to correct the issue. This being the 3rd visit to my home (1. measure 2. install 3. service) I was not happy to have to make arrangements for them to come a 4th time to correct the door. I was told I would be informed when they can cut a new door and would receive a call back after speaking with the production manager. Needing to follow since no call was made, I spoke with Frank on 7/1 about the progress, He scheduled an appointment to come change the door among other issues on 7/8 with the "lead installer" Bob. July 8th came with confirmations from Frank on the date and time, I receive a call from Bob 15mins before he is to arrive saying he now recognized the address and knew what work needed to be done but that he was not given a door to replace. Frank never had a cut a new door and sent a service call out, I call Frank to complain and am told I will receive a call back with an explanation. I call on 7/16 after no word from them for 6 days. This review doesn't touch on the number of times I've spoken to reception, sales, and customer service (Karen, Dave, Raj) having to repeat the story of this interaction since everyone was oblivious to any other department. This is right around the time Raj dangled the reimbursement (7/18) word over the phone as my messages went unanswered. This is about when John came into the picture = explanation of the whole situation all over again, and an attempt for a second measurement apt since a door was never recut in 4 weeks time ( my response: Bob has the measurements and took them back on 6/27). It took 2 weeks to confirm the measurements and process the new door for production. The door was replaced on 8/28/14 concluding a 3 month ordeal that could have bee completed in 10 days. In closing 5 house visits, 3 errors, countless calls and apologies. I will say this, the product is of good quality, and through the whole process communication around an average but the incompetents was at a high throughout. The little gratification i've gotten is that they ate all of their profit and then some on labor costs and material. Oh and funny that Raj is dodging my phone calls now that I'm calling to collect that reimbursement I was promised. Be aware and read reviews, the ones here are pretty spot on. read more

Had four expensive frameless shower doors installed. They all had problems. Numerous calls to the company. No one calls back, once they have your full payment. Poorly run company, with no ownership of problems. Management is great on initial visit, but you never see them again. read more

They really dont even deserve one star. Worst customer service. Make dates and blow them off. I replaced a 10 year old glass enclosed shower that NEVER leaked for a new one from Showercrafters. It has leaked everyday since I got it. They have come to "repair" it and it still leaks. I ring out at least a full cup of water from my floor towel after every shower. Worst mistake I ever made to use them. If you sell shower enclosures, you should figure out how to make them water tight! read more

Horrible customer service ! My husband & I recently bought a new home, we waited quite a couple days for someone to come do measurements for our shower & two mirrors above our bathroom sinks. After a week the measurements were done & we were told it would take 2 weeks for everything to be installed.....yea right try 2 months. We called multiple times, there was no communication with us, & every time we called they said its being processed & call back in a week. Dan at Lighthouse Shower Doors came over the same day that I called him. He assessed the situation, told me what needed to be done and ordered all of the parts. His team put the door back up and did a fabulous job. They were professional, courteous and on time. Of course we had to pay for the work that Showercrafters should be doing but it was worth it to never have to deal with this company again. We highly recommend Lighthouse Shower Doors. read more

Is there a negative star? My review, like others, will be long. Bottom line is they are the worst! Incompetent doesn't begin to describe the idiocy and bad work. My husband and I bought a house in RVC and thought OH! it's close by, been around 30 years... what could possibly go wrong? EVERYTHING. We met with David, who when stuff goes wrong is useless, because as Matthew pointed out, they have nothing to do with resolving issues. They bungled our measurement, our install date and ruined tile and our bathroom in general. We only have one full bath in our house so getting this right was paramount. Let me be honest, I had heart surgery in May, so I am not supposed to be stressed out... Right. fat chance. The installers showed up 4 hours late for their appointment, on a FRIDAY. They measured once and cut twice. RUINING BRAND NEW TILE. Rob the installer, most likely strung out, goes to me: oh, i can fix it with silicone. WTF?! He took large CHUNKS of tile and thought her would "fix it". When I lost it, and my mom who was visiting from California lost it on them, he said he would be back the next day to pop the bad tile off and put new tile up. He again showed up 3 hours late, thin set and bounced saying he would be back the next day. He never showed. He called later in the afternoon saying he was "sick". David couldn't help me. The next day, I finally got a hold of Sharon and Bill they sent a different rob a "field supervisor" over to inspect the damage and to grout. he grouted and left. They came the next day to put the glass in... FINALLY as it had been hanging in my hallway since friday. I came home from work to find silicone everywhere inside the shower except in the corners. I called. This was October 1st. STILL WAITING FOR A CALL BACK. We are disputing the charges with visa b/c the work isn't done. Services are not rendered. I have called every day for 10 days. NO ONE HAS GOTTEN BACK TO ME. THEN THIS MORNING ALL THE PLASTIC STUFF that is supposed to keep the water in FELL OFF THE DOOR/wall. AWESOME. This is the worst place ever and i have told the tile shop and every contractor my husbands VERY large family knows as well as taken to all social media to alert everyone to not use them. My mother used showercrafters to fabricate and install glass for a handicap accessible bathroom and they did a great job. The craftsmanship is top notch and the service was great. It was a no brained that when I needed frameless shower doors for my own bathroom that I would call Bill at showercrafters. Bill was extremely friendly and accommodating. He came and gave a free estimate and offered plenty of advice about our project even if we weren't going to use his company. After other estimates, showercrafters was the fairest with the best quality and promised timeframe. From the day of the estimate, the glass doors were fabricated and installed in 2 weeks. The workers who installed the doors were on time quick and friendly, not to mention very neat in my bathroom. The doors are a custom size and look flawless in my new bathroom. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for someone to fabricate and install shower doors. read more

I should of read everyone's review. People DO NOT use showercrafters. I thought everything would be fine, they came and measured when they said they would. When installation started about 10:30am, as they were carrying in the glass it just shattered in their hands. Glass all over the bathroom and bedroom, they cleaned up the glass as best they could even when one guy got cut pretty badly. 3 hours later after calling very 15 minutes getting told someone is on their way 2 different guys from installation came to clean up the glass and blood that was around the bathroom floor, and to finish installation in my other bathroom which was perfect until you took a shower, the water ended up on the floor. This was because the doors were installed backwards. 4 days later 2 guys came back to install the glass that shattered and to fix the other bathroom door. My window for installation was 9-11, they showed at 1:00. My installation started until they took lunch from 3-4, then came back to finish the job. At around 7 they were done. (They should of stayed out to lunch). The brackets in the master bathroom were crooked, the rubber stripping on each side was not the right size, and the 2 pieces of glass which meet were not straight from top to bottom. After waiting 24 hours, we tried the shower and the water started coming out from the bottom of the glass onto the floor. Now my other bathroom they switched the doors but now they are tilting into the shower, not straight on the wall and the plastic strip is crooked. The only good thing about this is that the water does not come out now. We told the installers that they will not be leaving my house till everything is fixed and their comment was that it is fixed. After the first installation I stopped my deposit with my charge account. Also reporting them to better business and consumer affairs. A WORD OF ADVICE DONT USE THEM NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE YOU NEED SHOWER DOORS, USE A SHOWER CURTAIN. They should have the decency to follow up with a phone call after every problem I had, but nobody did. No respect for this business read more

Never using this company again. Installation department supervisor is the worst! Never calls you back! Office staff was very polite, supervisor should take a lesson from them. Get a phone for an installation appointment no need to confirm if date and time are good, date comes no show call to find out I'm not on the schedule it was a clerical error and the person was fired. I explained I took a 1/2 vacation day for nothing and should be compensated and wanted the supervisor to call me it is now 2 1/2 days later and still no phone call. Get a phone call today from the secretary saying they could come today, told her that was fine but not paying until supervisor calls me to apologize, now have new shower door and half my money. Told the bookkeeper still waiting for phone call and not paying balance until he calls and apologizes. Told them I was putting my review on Yelp still no phone call.
