Whatever you do, DO NOT buy furniture from this place or their sister store Furniture Gallery. The owner just called me and called me a liar and told me we don't deal with liars before telling me they will be refunding all my money, then hung up on me. I will be calling the better business bureau on Monday. Here is what happened: We bought a couch on 9/1 labor day weekend. We liked the couch but not the color of the couch. They told us it came in a different color so we asked to see it. They showed us the catalog. We checked that paperwork multiple times and asked about the color being different. They were trying to get out of there and I guess during their haste they made a mistake with the financing instead of 18 months which they agreed upon they put 12 months. They messed up the financing and so we walked out without that paperwork today. I had to go back a week later to sign the paperwork over again. They told me that they would have it all ready but I spent a good 30 minutes or more in the store waiting for the paperwork that day. At this point no one had given me a delivery window yet, so I inquired about it again because usually furniture stores give you a round about window. They just said someone would call me when it comes in. I had to call the store multiple times to try and get someone on the line to find out about delivery. Fast forward to the week of 10/15 or 10/16 someone calls me (this is after I called them that Monday inquiring about it again) and asks about a good day to deliver. I decide on a delivery date of 10/19. So I pay the people who are bringing the furniture to take away the old furniture. They disassembled it and took it out before bringing the new furniture up. When they start to bring the new furniture up I immediately notice it is the color of the one at the store and not a darker color like we wanted and were told multiple times we are getting. So now we are left with nothing. When the store opens at 10:15 I call the number back that called me to do the delivery. She asked why I didn't just keep the furniture they had until the new one came in and I said I didn't even know that was an option. So then she says someone is going to call me back but sounded like she wasn't sure when. So my partner stopped at the store on the way home and spent over an hour there again trying to figure out the situation. Apparently that couch doesn't come in a darker color, not sure what we saw in that catalog that day and thought we were getting but I am being sent a picture of something similar in a different color from my partner. She was apparently smiling and really friendly, which is part of being a decent human. So since she was a decent human being and accepted that we are in this they used this against me when I tried to call talking about how I was dissatisfied I was with this whole situation and how I was upset that they couldn't even bring us a loaner couch today. So he called the store and talked to the employees who I guess said she was completely happy when she walked out of there. Just because someone is smiling doesn't equate to happy. So he called me back accusing me of being a liar, and then asked if I was calling his employee a liar, then stated we don't do business with liars I am canceling your order and giving you all your money back. Don't do it. Don't go through this furniture place the owner is a nut job who obviously shouldn't be in sales. I would never treat people this way, but who knows maybe it's because I am a woman with another woman so maybe he just targeted us for this. read more

I usually hate salespeople with a deep, burning passion. This, however, was a good, pleasant, /effective/ sales experience. We were greeted in a warm and friendly and un-aggressive fashion, given a short spiel about the location of various types of furniture, and asked if we needed help looking for anything in particular. We were then left alone for some time, and politely checked in on an appropriate and respectful amount of time later, with obviously sincere interest in making sure we were getting the exact amount of help we wanted. That's a salesperson who knows her products are of sufficient quality to sell themselves. I'll be back when I've finished measuring my basement and budgeting the several thousand dollars I want to spend, because this establishment has absolutely won my business. read more

I got queen size bed with 2 night stands and a dresser. I was disappointed after long time wait The delivery people forgot some parts. And had some damages on some corners. They said they will call me back to reschedule another day to install the missing part. I also called to return one dresser because my room got too tight. And they refused to accept my returns :( Never deal with showman furniture again. read more

Recently purchased a dining room set, floor model, as is. Sales people were nice. The set was nice. But, when they delivered the set, one of the chair was lighter in color compared to the rest of the set. That same chair had worn out pads underneath. why would a new chair have worn out pads? We called them immidiately. They couldn't give us a good answer. They are refusing to deal with the problem. Be aware when purchasing floor model. Once you buy it, you won't get any customer service from these people. read more

Very disappointing! Terrible response and follow through! After 7 months I am still waiting for my furniture that I have been paying for to be set up correctly! Every time I call to follow up I'm told they will call back and I do not receive a call back. I have to call. Don't waste your time! Delivery was a bit late due to a mix up but furniture is nice. What stands out most in regard to this furniture store are the employees. Some of the nicest, down to Earth, hospitable people I've ever met in a furniture show room! Very relaxed and no pressure salesmanship. Instead just received genuine professionalism and smiles upon smiles! My four year old was running around a bit and they treated him as if he were family. So if you ever stop by this furniture store, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the service and hospitality of their employees. read more

I opened a Yelp just so I could warn people about this place: ABSOLUTE WORST furniture experience of my life. Where can I begin?? 1. Couch was NOT the size I ordered. 2. Couch arrived BROKEN. 3. Offered to "fix" at COST.. so they want me to pay for their mistake. 4. Bed was supposed to be Sealey Mattress but its some knock off brand. 5. ALL FURNITURE STINKS SO BAD ITS DISGUSTING. Anyone who lives in MD knows how cold its been this Jan 2018. I have had to have my windows open & fans on and it STILL WREAKS OF CHEMICALS. This is the same for my daughter's house who has the couch. 6. Called/Emailed/Texted - NO RESPONSE NO RESOLUTION other than the initial I was told, "we will fix it" for the broke recliner part. Then I was told, after complaining, that they'd fix the couch - but now NO ONE ANSWERS PHONE/EMAIL/TEXTS. 7. Literally NEVER answers phone, it rings and rings and when voicemail comes on it says mailbox is full. 8. This couch was $2,500 YES Two Thousand Five Hundred for the WRONG SIZE AND BROKEN. 9. Oh I almost forgot the CRAPPY coffee table. The doors won't open and its not level. God I paid a pretty penny for that too and its GARBAGE. 10. The couch is SO SMALL if two people sit their knees will touch AND the coffee table they sold me to go with it does NOT fit between the couch.. its BIGGER than the freaking couch space. 11. Supposedly American made. I doubt that. 12. What a shame this place gives a BAD NAME to small biz, family owned and local. 13. Guess only option now is legal. I will start with BBB, Consumer Protection Agency and I really need to get an air quality test done on the crap that is emitting from this freaking nasty furniture. 14. SAVE YOURSELF TIME, MONEY AND AGGRAVATION.. GO TO A REAL AND REPUTABLE FURNITURE STORE. 15. I got an entire 4 piece leather set (not top grain but full leather) for $3k and this crappy couch alone was $2,500. Should have gone back to my leather store. Lesson learned. 16. Purchased a bunkbed for the two little girls with great customer service. The gentlemen are upstairs installing it right now. Unfortunately, I was told the warehouse sent the wrong head and footboard. So now I will have to take another day off from work for them to come back next week to replace them. Oh and our baby is due next week. We were hoping that the rooms would be situated before the newborn arrives. Overall, the customer service was fine and the prices were reasonable but the oversight caused inconvenience. read more

Wonderful experience from start to finish. We are first time homebuyers, and all of our furniture was from IKEA in the past. This time we wanted something nicer but still affordable. We were a bit afraid that walking into a store such as this, the sales pitch would be overwhelming, but it wasn't like that at all. Everyone in the store was very helpful and welcoming, and especially sweet to our three year old who was in tow. They had some great options for our price range. We are very happy with our furniture (couches made in the USA), the quality, and the service provided by the Showman team. I will absolutely use them again and refer them to everyone. read more

Absolutely Amazing! I am a 22 year old college Grad working at my first Big job and currently in Grad-School. I didn't have a lot of money, but I saved up and the amazing Ladies at this establishment went above and beyond for me. They respected my financial budget and didn't push me to purchase items beyond my means. I was given a Great rate on my bed which is so soft my Kitty and I nap daily and I sleep throughout the night without any problems. I also purchased an oversized mirror which is perfect for my apt. The furniture is quality, but the ladies customer service and willingness to go above and beyond for their customers is what truly impressed me. Lori and Tara (Excuse possible incorrect spelling) specifically were so incredibly kind to me. They effectively communicated and accommodated me in regards to my change of apt move in date. Tara specifically waited after hours for me to arrive from across town with my U-Haul to pick up my furniture. I cant wait to purchase my sofa and other items from this company in the near future. Amazing!! AMAZING! Its not easy to find quality service and quality product. This company is worth the visit. read more
