This store is huge and they have a lot of stock. With so much to look at and so many isles it can be become overwhelming on the eyes. The store is ... messy and dirty. Not trashy but dusty; dust everywhere. There is a lot of product but it's all on the floor; there is very little in the back as I was told by an employee. read more

This was my first time visiting At Home in Maryland. I've always loved the store. If you're looking for unique home decor this is the place for you. I enjoyed looking around as we just purchased a house. The 2 stars is for the cleanliness and organization of the store. The experience would have been so much better if it was better organized. This place has so much potential and the customer service we had from the clerk was 5 stars for sure! But the store it's self is a hot mess! I will definitely be back as this place has a lot of great stuff! You just have to take your patience and will to look around. I went to the store today and it was a very long line to check out with only one cashier open. I noticed the manager was up front walking around and I told her if you can open up another cash register since at this time it was 20 people standing in line and I was number 3 or 4 in line and I noticed the cashier has been with one person for a very long time. The manager heard what I said and just say NO .. not opening up another register...I then said do you always only have one cashier open with this long line .. she gave me a dirty look and turned her back on me . She is not customer service friendly and acted like a real B@@@@ and I didn't know this women. read more

With all the work that went into remodeling this store from being a K-mart. When you walk into this place you quickly come to realize that all of the efforts were strictly on the outside. They have alot of product to choose from, but here's the catch. Most of it's on the floor! The longer I stayed here the less I wanted to buy anything, and the more I felt bad for whoever had to clean this place up. There were empty racks, empty carts, piles of merch, carts of merch, and barely any employees on the floor. The whole place just looks picked through. I left without bothering to buy the few things i had picked up. In may be the only person who actually put stuff back where I got it. This is just a super big furniture store for no reason. Sometimes less if more, and its definitely way more manageable. read more

At Home is located in the old K-Mart building. The store is huge. I'd say about half of the store was Christmas items. They had Christmas trees, ornaments, wrapping paper, seasonal pillows, seasonal pet items, seasonal decor, and more. They recently opened, so there were quite a few empty aisles and sections throughout the store that they had left to fill with items. The other half of the store features items like rugs, mirrors, end tables and small furniture, home goods, storage goods, decor, art, lamps and lighting, and a lot more. They seemed to have a great selection of items. Prices are on point with Homegoods. The checkout area where you stand in line is very big, so someone can be browsing those shelves without being in the way of people in line. When it came time to check out, there were two employees (older woman, younger woman) unpacking boxes of candy. The younger woman's back was turned and couldn't see we were there. The older woman saw us, stared at us for a few seconds and went back to unpacking. She didn't speak a word to us nor verbally acknowledge we were there. The younger woman turned around to put the candy on the wall, saw us standing there, immediately greeted us, and said we could go over to her register and she'd be right with us. This store stressed me out. Sigh! Yes, it has any and everything you could imagine for your home on the inside and out, but it's so cluttered and rather junky. I didn't have the patience to actually do any real shopping because the amount of merchandise and clutter overwhelmed me. It's organized by sections, all chairs here...all housewares there...all lamps over there....the throw pillows down there...you get the picture. It reminds you of a huge warehouse with tons of stuff for your home. This was my first time stopping by and to be honest, probably my last. Nothing stood out to me, well other than the merchandise on the floor or the clutter jammed on the shelves. I personally don't shop in stores that have merchandise jam packed in a store. It just takes too much for me to focus and too much effort on my part. After a brief walk through of a few sections, I ended up leaving. Others seemed to love it. They had carts full of items they found. I guess if you're looking for something specific, you could potentially find it here, or if you like going on scavenger hunts. I understand the concept, but At Home sure didn't make me feel at home. read more

It's a good store. I can call it Marshall's, TJMaxx and Ross distribution center like facility. You can anything you can imagine for your home plus discover more thing one never thought off. Though the place is like a SuperWalmart in size items are very limited in selection/style and variety. Prices are good but other stores gives great/good markdowns that At Home don't. Great Christmas items for sure. I just don't think prices are cheapest but one of a kind selections. DIY service. Don't expect a friendly staff service. Their too busy rearranging the displays . This location is mediocre. The layout of the store was a little weird and honestly it was a little messy. However none of that is enough to prevent me from coming back. I think a good thing to mention is that if you're a huge clearance girl like myself, don't anticipate a big haul here unless you miraculously show up on the first day of markdowns. I was saddened to not find any Christmas clearance, it was down to scraps. read more

I heard about this place from a Friend. This place is a decorators dream. A home decor store on Steroids. Everything you can buy to furnish and decorate your home. Pretty dope spot. Located where the K-Mart used to be on 301. Sooo you can imagine how HUGE this place is! Walk in and you're in a home decor paradise! Any and everything that you can think of can be found here. Indoor/outdoor furniture. From bar stools to poofs for the floor. Mattresses dressers...kitchen appliances and knick knacks. Items to decorate your home like pictures, vases, and everything in between. The price point is on par to a Home Goods but the quality appears to be a wee bit nicer. They have some sort of loyalty club where there is something offered for your birthday. We got there pretty late yesterday so we didn't have much time to really look BUT I will definitely be returning bright and early to really scope the scene. A good addition to Crofton indeed. Despite the fact that this store has been open for several years, today was the first time that my husband and I had visited. We were looking for large wind chimes and had seen online that they might be available there. Walking around, it was difficult to tell if they are always so empty looking or if they might be preparing to go out of business. After going up and down every aisle, we were able to find wind chimes. We picked out two that we really liked. When we went to the register the cashier pointed out that one of them was actually missing a piece. We were very appreciative of the fact that she brought it to our attention since we had not noticed. She even asked if we would like to see the manager to determine if we might want to purchase the item at a discount. We declined the offer but we're very impressed that she not only noticed the damage, but offered a potential solution besides simply not purchasing the item. While we decided not to purchase it, that was a definite plus as far as customer service is concerned. This is not the kind of store we would shop at normally, so I'm not sure if or when we will go back. It has nothing to do with the store itself, simply that it doesn't carry stuff that we are normally in the market for. However, if you like home decor and are willing to pay more, this is an option. We did notice that it was a little pricier than we had expected. Overall, although it's not a place we will frequent, it is nice and the customer service is very good! read more

Waited in line for way too long and was only given store credit.... I was in the store to purchase an 8x10 rug. When I arrive home and unrolled the rug...all tags At Home price tags on the rug showed a price for that rug that was $20 less than what I was charged. Not a good practice for any store! Makes you stop and go, hmmmm! I assume it was old inventory they were selling as new merchandise. read more

This place is hit or miss for me. I love walking in bc the smell is so nice! It's bright and organized and looks like an upscale warehouse of all your home improvement/decor necessities. Definitely has a wide array of items to choose from. What I don't like is that some of the items are damaged so you have to pick through what's good and what's not. Prices are decent, but for some items they seem a bit overpriced (i.e. mix and match lamps). Overall definitely a large variety of home decor no matter the style you're looking for. read more

Quick update, I was told that you wouldn't be charged until you pick it up - that was a while lie. I ended up calling the At Home in Gaithersburg to see if they had what I was looking for, and they did. I placed the order online, checked my account, and sure enough the charge was there. Gaithersburg is way further than Columbia, but at least they pick up and seem to have better customer service :) read more

I love this store. I had a vision for my entry hallway of my home and wasn't going to settle on any art piece just to complete the space. I knew that I needed 6 to 7 large, abstract and 3D art pieces so I searched and searched on so many websites, however, nothing stuck out for me. I went in this particular At Home location and there they were! All of art that I needed and then some for my hallway. The store was organized, bathrooms were very clean, cashiers were friendly and my hallway is finally complete and compliments my oasis/ feng shui feel of my home. I purchased a home in Beechtree which is less than fifteen minutes away so I'll be a frequent guest. read more

Great selection with many colors. Cons: There arent enough employees. If you are getting anything large, you won't have help. There were 0 employees on the floor to answer basic questions or to help. I had to ask a cashier to help me put an item in my cart. Waited 20 minutes and no one came. I am amazed this large store had absolutely no employees on the floor. Not 1. At Home is a great store so bring your wallet because you will need it. You walk in and boom everything you need is there. Store is very clean and they have bathrooms. Patio furniture and holiday stuff in one area then beds and kitchen and everything truly to make your home at home. I like this store more then a lot of other home stores. This is brand new experience reminds me of Waccamaw before they went out of business. Lots of stuff, fairly good prices, the store is brand new. Right now no Halloween stuff but tons of Christmas trees, decorations and lights. They have a great selection of rugs and in every price point, furniture, lamps and storage solutions. I had high hopes as they were building that it'd be my go-to place, but I have been a number of times to give it a real go, and have left with either one small item (a sponge holder) or nothing at all. I Pros: -They have a ton of stuff in newish styles -Probably a good place to buy unique gifts like mugs with llamas on it -If you need wall art, they have like 47 aisles of it Cons: -No real diversity in styles... everything seems trendy but not in a good way. If you're looking to decorate an Air B&B, they have stuff for you. -Pricy, pricy, pricy! No real bargains to be had here, which is surprising considering it's an outlet-style store. So while I really like my sponge holder, I just can't see myself spending the money to buy anything else here, furniture or decorations. My most recent visit to this store was very disappointing. Everything was good until I went to the check out line. There were approximately 25-30 people in line with one register open. A customer behind me put her items back and left the store. I waited in line with my items for about 10 minutes and the line did not move. So, I put my items back and left the store. I was a upset because I wanted the items that I had spent an hour in the store to select. read more

I have a business in this plaza so I really want it to work. Today I had bad flashbacks of the Kmart that was in the same location. Very disappointed with my first visit. The items are priced at quality item prices, but everything looks cheap and flimsy. There were multiple items scattered around the store that were broken, including a dresser that had broken glass shards from it's door around it. Terrible customer service from Tracy and another of her coworker at the Crofton location. Both acting very annoyed with my questions regarding my perks membership (which by the way is useless). They had a disgusting attitude especially Tracy because she was about to either take her lunch break or be off but either way she made sure to let out her frustration. One should not behave like she did when working in customer service. Very unprofessional, disrespectful and just disgusting. I will never set foot in that store again. read more
