I recently came, just this week, to watch the newest Avatar film, and it was great! They had several Avatar showings in the same theater that had the movie in 3d and 4d but we just watched the regular movie. The theater itself was clean and the lines weren't crazy long, but we also went mid-day at around 3pm so it could be very different post 5pm. We did get some snacks, which as most movies theaters go, were quite expensive. My only real gripe is that I bought tickets in advance for five people online and the total was $73. The tickets themselves were $11 each but then they had an online fee (i think it was around another $11) on top of taxes which I thought was a little silly. If we had tried to buy the tickets in person to avoid the fee, we likely wouldn't have been able to watch the film bc of how popular it is.

We were there the last weekend in April to see our Granddaughter in the leading role and Grandson in multiple roles of a Musical which was wonderful. Harbour Playhouse is such a intimate venue. I only wish I could find some to write a grant for the Playhouse to expand or remodel, and also be able to afford wireless microphones or better sound systems. It has been a joy watching the littlest cast member now 7 or 8 grow thru the years and all of the other regular actors too. The Director is amazing with the actors and even has a young boy who has Autism and a little girl who has Down Syndrome in the cast, I think I saw this year, in the Musical. Hard to see when you are videoing the entire Musical. Please get this permanently closed status updated.. It may have been Black Out season when people tried to go as many theaters have Black Outs too where they take a break, but we will be there come the Fall for the next play or musical.. My daughter auditioned for a part and got it and she had an absolute blast in the production and hopes to go back. I've gone to two different productions and they are so such fun! They do their best to make you feel welcome and take care of you. They have snacks in the lobby, some free and some for a small fee that helps promote the playhouse. They offer inexpensive wine and soda and bottled water during intermission and before the show. The theatre itself needs a little renovating. it's very outdated. As someone who writes reviews that focus on disability accommodation, I have to honestly say that this place needs some work on ADA compliance. I'm sure they are legal--that's not the issue--it's how comfortable it is. If you have a wheelchair, you have to sit in the first few rows, and every time I've come in, they've been full, because no one has put up signs that say they are companion seats for wheelchairs. One time, i had to sit in the aisle, which is a safety and fire hazard. The bathrooms are awkward for wheelchair bound people too. Several of the seats are broken and need to be replaced or repaired. the balcony is outdated and there is no accessible access to the balcony theatre. Short of the renevations that are clearly needed, the theatre itself is cute, has much potential, and the shows are reasonably priced for a fun and family friendly evening out.

We go maybe once or twice a year, so there are only two theaters we go to. This one is my least favorite out of the two, but it's closer to home. Every single time we come here I remember that I don't like the seats. They recline and I appreciate that. They're not uncomfortable, but the buttons to raise/lower the chair are on the inside panel, so for larger people it's really easy to hit the raise or lower button by accident. They also have swivel tables for every seat which I'm sure is great for people who buy snacks or drinks... but we don't so there's just a random table in front of you during the movie. I don't know if they wipe each of them down between movies, but I'd like to think they do. I will just continue telling myself that they wipe each one between movies especially since touching the table at your seat is kind of unavoidable. The snacks and drinks, like any other theater, are overpriced. That's why we don't buy them. We just sit there for the duration of the movie and enjoy whatever we're watching. The people who work there are friendly. The few times we've interacted with anyone has been minimal, but pleasant. I will return to this theater again, but then I will inevitably remember why this one is not my theater of choice. It doesn't affect the quality of the movies though. Just personal preference. P.S. There was plenty of parking, and since it's not attached to anything else, there wasn't a lot of extra traffic, which made the experience even better. The wings were really good! I got the Korean BBQ flavor and it was super tasty. My mom got the lemon pepper wings and those were great too. We asked for the wings to be fried hard and they came out perfect. I'd definitely order them again, either those same flavors or try some others next time. We also tried the $6 Margarita Monday special. It had a solid flavor and definitely gave a little buzz after finishing it, but not overly strong. The place was clean, the food came out quick, and the overall experience was nice.
