Went to Studio Movie Grill to see a movie which honestly doesn't have many screenings in the area, so this was my first time visiting this location. I didn't even know this theater existed, but I'm glad I found it since it's pretty close to me. There was plenty of parking, and since it's not attached to anything else, there wasn't a lot of extra traffic, which made the experience even better. The wings were really good! I got the Korean BBQ flavor and it was super tasty. My mom got the lemon pepper wings and those were great too. We asked for the wings to be fried hard and they came out perfect. I'd definitely order them again, either those same flavors or try some others next time. We also tried the $6 Margarita Monday special. It had a solid flavor and definitely gave a little buzz after finishing it, but not overly strong. The place was clean, the food came out quick, and the overall experience was nice. I think this is a solid place to have tasty food while watching a movie. The staff are pleasant and courteous with their delivery. Sometimes it does take a little while to actually get the food, though. The seats a comfortable and spacious, we sat in the very last row and it was a great view. The sound, screen and ambiance in the theatre are good, making watching the movie a nice experience. The food itself was very good. I had the bacon cheeseburger and it was huge. The fried were also fresh. The chocolate milkshake was a great addition and was also generous in portion. I was very happy to get the change to try other menu items. We stopped by on Sunday to see The Conjuring, The Last Rites. The theater was clean, open space upon entry. Ticket greeter was friendly, accepted our ticket and directed us to the assigned theater. We arrived 15 minutes before our movie showtime. After getting seated, we scanned the barcode at the table for the menu. After pressing the service button, it took 10 mins for someone to come take our order, even though the theater was at less than 25% capacity at that time. After placing our order, our drinks and food were constantly delivered to the tables next to us, causing delay with food getting to us. We ordered three courses, including two entrees so this happened 4 times. Figured it would have been resolved after the first time. I would give service 2.5 stars, could barely enjoy the movie with all the commotions. Drinks: iced tea and coke (fountain drinks) Food: 2 for $30 specials. This included * 1/2 order of cheesy fries - yummy, love the bacon topping and the crispy fries * Hatch Chile Pasta with Chicken - pass on this next time, barely any chicken and it's bland - looks delicious but not. * Bone-in wings - Korean BBQ sauce, came with fries. Super saucy, not sure I would order this flavor again as it was very messy for theater seat dining. * Funnel Cake Fries - extra $5 charge for add-on to the special. This tastes delicious, great with caramel dipping. The seats were not reclining, but I guess the ticket prices made up for it, cheaper than most theaters for a Sunday night. Plenty of parking, restrooms were decent, needs more attention. I would not drive back to this theater to catch a movie as service was not worth it. I been here numerous of times! Food good, service good and plenty of parking available. I'm a regular at buying my tickets online or you can old school and purchase at counter. I took off a star because at the viewing for HIM. I purchased the handicap recliner seat online because I have walker. The button on the seat was not in service. I ended up moving on my own to another seat since it was an early showing and we kinda had the theater to ourselves. I have a herniated disk so I need to lay back in order to be comfortable. Hubby and I went for a Sunday Matinee. We did the 2 for $30 special. For appetizer I got the half chicken nachos and he wound up ordering another full size nacho on side. For entree, he got a burger and I had the coconut chicken tenders with fries. And since it was Sunday, the brownie was $5. Overall it came out to be a cheaper meal that way instead of ordering everything individually. My suggestions for this movie theater is for the staff to be more cognizant of bending down and whispering when the movie starts. They are so disturbing standing, blocking your view and talking at regular voice when we trying to watch the movie. Also a lot of the chairs have been worn and torn. These were heavy and dense and way too much sugar in them... no syrup is needed when you have mini sugar prices in the waffle...the chicken was not good. I expected more with a theater where the main feature involves comfort and food. The lobby walking in looks promising and clean. As soon as you get to the seats, you notice alllll the wear and tear. Secondly the food. It's overpriced frozen food. Don't fall for it. Just stick to popcorn and save yourself some money. Bloody Mary was not good either. I ended up ordering the cheapest item I could find, which were chicken tenders for $14.50 that are literally 1/4 the size of the ones served at Raising Cane's, but TWICE AS EXPENSIVE! The seats did not decline, the floors were sticky, and the waiters sometimes blocked my view of the screen when brining out food/drinks. I went to see the new Avatar on Christmas Day and my experience was absolutely amazing. All employees had great attitudes, and were very friendly. I was very excited to order the espresso martinez as i always have an espresso martini on christmas and was upset to find out they don't brew their espresso. the taste was extremely off like they served me a shot of straight kahlua. i let my server know, and she immediately had me taken care of. She replaced my drink with the delicious studio blue i usually get and im very happy she suggested because i would've honestly went with whatever out of embarrassment in the situation. My new drink arrived and was absolutely amazing and went with my avatar experience! For my meal i ordered the chicken and waffles and beignets for dessert. I would love to know what they do to the waffles because they tasted like they had little sprinkles of sugar mixed throughout and it was devine! the beignets were 10/10 as always but i do wish they'd bring the honey back instead of chocolate sauce. i loved the christmas decorations as well! very creative to put them above the bar. overall my christmas day avatar movie experience was epic due to studio movie grill! read more

They are getting much better! I know that all experiences are not equal and some may get reviewed in what appears to be a negative light and some positive. I would just like to say the facilities are always clean during my visit is. However in this visit it remained the same. I appreciate the service even more this time as the staff was exceptionally nice and fast. There were issues with the orders or communication. The food and drinks were quickly delivered along with the snacks so no complaints there. Overall the meal was good and this has been one of my more pleasant visits and I just wanted to tell it. Been here several times and maybe too many to count. Check in and cleanliness is never an issue here. Glad they keep that as a standard. But Man when I tell you I'm disappointed that I've been here countless times and never ate that classic burger... Hats off to the cooks this past weekend or so. That classic will get me re ordering each visit moving forward!! Pizzas were usually my go to because quantity was always shaking on the burger and the fries. Would force me and my wife to buy more food. However, recently again It was so good they could have kept the fries and sent me 2 burgers. I ordered a water and it tasted like the faucet it came from. This Theater has seen better days. I took my fiancé to a matinee to see Talk to me! Great movie but we were disappointed that we chose to come here. The bathrooms smelled of urine and had no paper towels. Went with a group of coworkers last week and noticed a Pending transaction for almost $20 on my account that DOES NOT match my receipt. The transaction that matches my receipt has already cleared, but the fraudulent one is still lingering. Of course nobody answers and the mailbox is full when you try to call. I've definitely informed my coworkers (it was 10 of us) they might want to check their accounts and charges bcz it looks like scamming and fraudulent and theft could be going on at this establishment. read more

Food is overpriced, ambiance is poor and the place is rundown. Everyone is rude as hell here. We found our seats and were informed they were already booked, we then went to the customer service area where we discovered our date on the tickets were wrong. Keep in mind the printer was poor they couldn't even scan THERE OWN TICKETS! Instead of offering a refund, or trying to work it out they offered, in a condescending tone that they could move us to "crossed out seat" whatever that means, and made this small task seem like a huge ordeal like they are personally getting screwed somehow. They also had the audacity to say we had to "repay" even though the services were already payed for, and said we would have to "go through the website" if we wanted a refund. What even is that? I know we're just numbers to them but this was the most impersonal, and just strange interaction I've ever had with a manager. No wonder all the employees looked miserable. By the time we booked it was only the first few rows but no problem. They could stand to have more parking as we had to circle to find a spot. They have a lot of commercials before the movie so wait to order your food so you don't eat it all before the movie starts lol. This used to be a one stop shop for dinner and a movie. But now I'd suggest hitting your favorite steakhouse before coming to the theatre. The steak dinner will be the same price if not cheaper than a couple mediocre mediocre meals at SMG. They charge $6 for a soda, even for my kids. Upgrading to onion rings or an icee, they'll charge you the cost of a full side or icee. There's no upgrade price. Last night we went to see the advanced screening of Bad Boys 4 and since I wanted dinner I thought this would be better than Cinemark. The inside is cute and clean like you would expect plus they have speedy service when ordering, but it stops after that. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and regular fries plus a glass of wine. The sandwich was not what I was expecting because it tasted more like a chili tabsco sauce than hot chicken. Some of the fries were cold and some were hot plus I asked for a side of honey mustard instead of ketchup and what did I get ketchup. Once my boyfriend's dessert came he was not pleased because they could not warm up his brownie. He asked if they could remove the brownie and just charge for the ice cream, but the guy never came back with the adjustment for the bill since he paid in cash I assume. I am glad I ordered a glass of wine because I knew they couldn't mess that up. All in all I will not go back to this location. read more

So, first time here I have to say I'm not impressed. We've been spoiled with Cinemarks fantastic ambience along with comfortable reclining seats. The screen size here seems like half the size of Cinemark and the sound thus far is little to be desired. The idea of fresh cooked food being delivered right to your seat if you can get past the 18% automatic gratuity that's mandatory. I jokingly asked if he would work for 18% and he seemed just like another entitled kid. More to come, our food hasn't been delivered. Terrible experience. I don't understand people's lack of work ethics these days. We came on a rainy afternoon with pre-purchased tickets. Upon entry, an employee told us to walk around the water all over the foyer area. My thoughts, why not just clean it!? I don't understand. We waited 20 minutes with the red lights pressed to order. I took two of the kids in our group to the restroom and came back, still no server. We were the first in the theater and multiple guests were served before us. I had to go walk around the bar and kitchen looking for staff to take my order. Finally, someone came and he was hella rude. Extremely bad attitude and short. He was condescending, and finally when I asked why the attitude, he replied "blame the general manager- we have 300 tickets sold today but only 4 employees" My bill was right under $80 and I paid with a $100 bill. Went to Studio Movie grill when in Houston. Similar to the Cineplex VIP experience I Toronto; SMG is a unique experience in which you get a table side style service for relatively overpriced drinks and food. The auditorium itself is reminiscent of a university library, with rows of narrow tables and uncomfortable office style chairs on rollers. There is a small call button that brings over the waitstaff to take an order. You can request everything from a pint of local beer to a $7.00 bowl of 'gourmet' popcorn. The screen itself is similar to a standard cineplex, good sound and an enjoyable time. I would say that the seats were the low point, and it was a challenge to get over those clunky tables.
