Showtime theatre is a beautiful place where I have grown as both an artist and a person. I did my first production here years ago and left forever changed for good. Before Showtime theatre I was lacking confidence and feeling frustrated with other community theatre experiences. When I did my first production, Cinderella Rodgers and Hammerstein, I felt like I finally found my community and my voice. Every rehearsal was led with confidence and laughter. It was truly a privilege to get to preform on that stage. After many productions at Showtime theatre I can proudly say that it is only getting better. With beautiful set pieces and costumes as well as incredible actors, Showtime theatre is a place of pure joy. It captures the true heart of children's theatre, which is to encourage growth and confidence in youth through acting. We absolutely love Showtime Theatre and the work they do with Young Actors as well as more seasoned High School Actors. It's a great program where the children learn how to sing, dance and act while simultaneously putting together a fantastic production. The productions are colorful, age appropriate and they do a fantastic job of rotating kids between key roles and ensemble roles. Our daughter has done 4 productions now and we loved every single one. She has grown as a reader and as a speaker from working with Ms Jackie and is not flustered by big crowds anymore. The Owner of this program is hard working and instills the kids with a great attitude and mindset. Her choreographies are not always easy but she provides plenty of resources for the kids to learn and encourages and motivates them. Best Theatre program in Katy and it feels like family! read more

My daughter has been participating in Showtime for 6 years & LOVES it! When she began she was too shy to even audition, but after being included and involved she has gained so much confidence as well as knowledge and skills associated with musical theatre. She is actively involved in her junior high theatre and plans to continue into high school all thanks to the spark that Showtime and Jackie fanned in her. This is a great place to watch your kids grow and perform. My daughter started at age 7 and is now on her 9th show and counting. The director & helpers are amazing and super sweet. I've seen a lot of kids evolve from very shy to confident in this stress free & super fun environment. We love Showtime Theatre! My daughter claims it as her "happy place," and she truly is happiest when she is there. She has grown over time, (5 years!) starting with ensemble roles and learning more about stage presence and projection to now earning more speaking and singing roles.
