Going to the movies these days can be very pricey so you're always hoping that you get great service. I have been going to Cinemark for almost 20 years now and the service is always great and the food is always fresh. We went to see a movie on Sunday and we got there and the theaters were clean. The popcorn was fresh and everybody was super friendly. I really think that Cinemark knows what they're doing and knows how to provide a great experience for every movie goer. The entire establishment was perfectly cleaned and very well kept up. Our popcorn was super fresh and the drinks were really good. Cinemark 19 is one of those theaters that's been around forever, and honestly, I remember when they built it and later remodeled it with the lounger seating. It's definitely an older theater now, and while it's not the fanciest theater in the Houston area, it still does the job. For the most part, the theater is clean, and the crowds are usually respectful. I've never really had issues with rowdy people ruining a movie experience here, which honestly counts for a lot these days. My friends and I have also spent time in the arcade over the years while waiting for movies to start, and it's always been a fun addition. I'm a Movie Club member and still have dozens of free movies banked from Covid and beyond because I never fully got back into going weekly the way I used to see movies. The membership is worthwhile if you go often since you get discounts on concessions and tickets. That said, there are definitely some downsides. The food delivery-to-seat option sounds great in theory, but the few times I've done it, my popcorn and food were already sitting in my seat long before the movie started. I don't want cold popcorn, and I felt like the food quality suffered because of it. The theater also feels understaffed now. During weekdays there's often nobody even checking tickets, which honestly feels strange. Today we went to see The Devil Wears Prada 2, and no one scanned our tickets at all. The side concession stands also never seem to be open--even on busy weekends--which makes me wonder why they're there if they're never staffed. I honestly don't recall ever seeing them open, even after they were installed. The main concession line usually moves quickly enough, but the lack of staffing is noticeable throughout the building. The bathrooms could also use more attention. Too often there are missing paper towels or empty soap dispensers. And like every theater now, the prices have become hard to justify. Eight dollars for a hot dog is honestly ridiculous. I used to always buy concessions because I wanted to support the theater industry, but it's hard to walk out after tickets and snacks feeling like you spent $40+ per person for one movie outing. Overall, I'd probably give this theater three stars. It's not terrible, and I still come here, but it does feel a bit rundown compared to newer theaters around town. Still, if you just want a straightforward movie experience with comfortable seats and generally decent crowds, it works fine. read more

No issues with screen or audio, wasnt cold/hot. Main issue is that this theatre is really showing its age and lack of maintenance. The seats leather was completely cracked in multiple places and pulling away from the edges. Not much to comment on food since this is of course just basic menu options. Decided to catch the new Demon Slay movie with my sister on a Tuesday and the auditorium was not that filled surprisingly. Even though it wasn't packed, I had to switch for another showing time because the auditorium that I was in had a cricket and it was very distracting. I have been going to these theaters as my main one for a couple years. It is always a budget friendly option compared to other ones and it certainly does the job! They have recliner seats so it's a big upgrade than where I used to go in South Texas. It is also right at the heart of Katy Asian Town so a lot of things to do before or after the movies! read more

Excellent theater! This venue is always clean and seats are comfortable. The staff is super friendly! Popcorn is fresh -- it hasn't been sitting under heat lamps like some other theaters in the area. Parking lot is well lit and feels safe at night, which is great. I highly recommend Cinemark 19 for a wonderful theater experience! Be sure to join the Cinemark Rewards and earn loyalty points + discounts on concessions. Discount Tuesday movie prices are a big plus. My only complaint would be the French fries are cooked in beef fat instead of pure vegetable oil. I also miss the hot tea & coffee options in the Cafe area. Cinemark is my go to theatre!! Visuals and sound effects are good. Seats are comfy, and there's more than enough space to walk through the aisles. I usually never have any problems with this theatre, but as I was watching "quiet place day one" with some friends, the lights and screen went out towards the last half of the movie. People had to go down to inform the staff, and the movie resumed... but without sound, which went on for another 5-10 minutes. Then they replayed it to the part where we left off, and it was fine after that. Today was the only issue I've run into with the theatre in all the years I've been coming here. Parking lot is big, but it's always pretty packed. $6 movie tickets on Tuesdays. Get your movie fix ins here at Cinemark right by Katy Asian town so that afterwards you can grab a meal or some dessert! read more

I am a member of a senior group who goes here once a month. They have a great selection of films. They have a lot of true-story-based films of hope and triumph, and one person making a huge difference in the world. Seniors and many people love these types of films. The movie Thelma was a big hit with us. And the manager there was a great help to me. My theatre seat reclined out but not back. He checked it out and printed a different ticket for me to sit in a workable seat. He did all this in a matter of minutes. I appreciate his help and world-class customer service. read more

The cinemark at hwy 99 and I-10 in Katy is a great theatre. Tons and tons of food options surrounding the area...not to mention Katy Asian town next door! Theatre is clean and the seats are the best in the business. They are much wider than AMC or Alamos. Food, drinks are about the same price as the other places they do have a small little bar on the left with beers and wines. Still really impressed with this movie theater. I go to the movies very often so about a year ago I decided to join the Cinemark Movie Club. Saves me a ton of money. Now if I could only remember to scan my WR code at the concession stand lol.. Although there's no fancy menu or waiter service they do have a mini ice cream parlor type setup. I saw a sign for burgers today but haven't seen anyone order one. They have a fully stocked bar. Concessions serves all the regulars, popcorn, candy, hotdogs, icees and also fresh pizzas. I had the cheese pizza today and I was really impressed because it was warm and fresh with lots of chest. Big enough for two people to snack on but I ate it myself with no issue. The restrooms are usually clean. Plenty of stalls for everyone. The theaters are spacious and well maintained. Plenty of restaurants and bars around this theater for a complete date night. Cinemark is close to the house and the staff are always friendly. Just stopped in last night to see 'Jesus Revolution'! It was awesome! It sometimes gets chili inside the theaters so bring a jacket or blanket just in case. Also, we always bring in our own water and never get harassed for it, which is nice. read more

My twin girls buy a ticket every Tuesday with a group of their friends for movie night. We've never had any issues before but on August 22 of 2023. When they left the theater they found their car with a bullet hole in the windshield. When my daughter walked inside to ask someone for help nobody helped her. They didn't even offer to walk her back to her car! The guy was rude and seemed bothered by her, it was poor customer service and beyond. No one was interested that my daughters car was shot at! mY GIRLS called the police and filed a report, They labeled it as criminal mischief because this theater has no cameras on the outside of the building to record what actually happened! My children could have been in that car. Your establishment needs to have cameras outside of your building facing the parking lot, so young girls and people in general would feel safer walking to their cars. I don't know if they will feel safe returning to your establishment and that's extremely sad. It was their favorite past time. read more

Love coming to this theater over competitors nearby (AMC, Studio, Alamo). Always clean and love the fact that they play classics periodically. I also like how they dedicate a small theater to lesser known movies. Saw American Woman today. Never even heard of it but was not disappointed. Very good movie and glad I stumbled upon it. A few weeks back I took a friend to see Steel Magnolias (not sure how they never saw it before). On a side note - a few things I think senior leadership should consider: A.) Cell reception sucks throughout the entire theatre. 1.) My kids come here and if there is ever an emergency I'm starting to wonder how they would get a hold of me if they are inside?? 2. I was sold on using the app and signing up to be a rewards member. However since there is no wifi and the cell signal inside sucks, I can never open the app to make purchases or show the attendees my ticket barcodes to gain entry. Kind of defeats the purpose. B.) Popcorn has way too much damn salt. Jesus Christ. C.) Every single time I've been to this theater I have had to ask every employee if they need my phone number or movie club member ID, both at the box office and the concession stand. Even cashiers at Kroger ask me if I have a Kroger card. What if I forgot to say something? I'd miss out on my discounts that you're spending millions marketing and I'm paying for monthly. What's the honor of me having it if the employees are embarrassed to talk about it. Don't get me wrong, the employees are nice and courteous. Wow! What an improvement! This is one of the oldest cinemas on the west side of Houston. Yet you wouldn't know that from the interior design and enhanced movie experience. We went to watch a movie and booked seats using Fandango. I thought there was something wrong with the app because it was only letting me pick from what looked like 30 seats. And when we arrived I found that's exactly all the seating there was! The theater had remodeled there rooms and it felt you were watching from a home theater room. Each chair was a recliner with space away from your neighbors. It was so relaxing I am sure I would fall asleep if I were watching anything but action. Add to that the usual experience of foods, beverages and clean restrooms. I'm back to being a movie goer. This kind of treatment makes paying money worthwhile read more

Small theaters with luxury recliner chairs. I wish they would recline just a little bit more. Seats are reserved and with small capacity RESERVE YOUR SEATS early. Sometimes I'll get them a day or two early. I am a movie club member that provides nice discounts. Seats are purchased with the iPhone app and saved to my wallet. If I could give a 0 I would! The volume in their theaters was unreasonably high. We had to put our hands over our ears the whole two hours of the movie. We came out during the movie three times asking to lower the volume because the entire theatre was empty except for us. The manager Manu and the front desk workers were useless and kept saying they were busy and tried to put the volume down but the entire place had barely any people walking around. Now that we came out of the theater everything is so quiet and we all have terrible migraines! I sincerely hope this place shuts down for our hearing. read more

This is my go-to movie theater. There was one week when I went to the palladium for Shang-Chi in IMAX and then the next day came to this Cinemark and it was night and day. The regular option is miles better than palladium's IMAX (picture, sound, comfortability, everything). I guess this review is more me just roasting palladium but this Cinemark has amazing, big, comfy reclining seats, great audio/visual, and is my favorite place to watch movies if I'm not trying to blow my wallet. Definitely 5 stars. I have not been disappointed. read more

I have been to this theater a number of times now and the only thing negative that I can say about it is that it is a long drive from my house. The local Cinemark is not open on Tuesdays anymore, so I travel to Katy to visit this theater. The theater is clean, the staff is helpful and there is just nothing to complain about. Theaters are not very full these days, so I have yet to deal with other customers so much since most of the movies have a limited audience. On the few occasions where the theaters were at COVID capacity (maybe 1/3 full), I still did not have any issues. I have purchased tickets online using the app and walked in to receive the hard stub and whatever concessions I ordered. The process was fairly smooth. The theaters appear to be well maintained and the bathrooms and common spaces are spotless. A+ service and absolutely would recommend. read more
