South Indian coffee - milky mess
    Tanaya N.

Disappointing experience. I think the restaurant needs to work its logistics better to handle busy time and days. Half the items on the menu were not available ( given the reason of long weekend rush) the service was non existent. Water was not given until we asked after waiting for a long time. Mysore masala was the best of all the dosas we ordered. The coconut chutney felt a little tart as if it was on the verge on going bad. The coffee was the worst. Inspite of asking them to make it strong it was very milky and thick. Seating was tight and the restaurant as full even at 3pm for lunch. Average tasting dosas for downtown Bellevue prices. I don't think I would recommend this place as the first option.

We recently dined at Shri Krishna Bhavan and had a mixed experience overall. The ambiance was lovely -- the Krishna mural is beautifully done, and learning that it was designed by the owner's wife added a very personal touch. Both the owner and hostess were warm and welcoming. I also appreciated the chutney presentation in the colors of the Indian flag Food highlights and feedback: * Vijayawada Gongura Madala Dosa -- good heat level after requesting extra spice, but the spice mix was sparse and unevenly distributed. * Guntur Spicy Garlic Masala Dosa -- flavorful, though not as spicy as described. * Onion Rava Masala Dosa -- a dependable classic; however, the sambhar we requested was forgotten. * Cheese Dosa -- simple and nicely prepared; my child enjoyed it. * Paratha with gravy -- the edges were quite dry and tough, while the gravy was average. * Besi Bele Bhath -- unfortunately the weakest dish of the meal; it felt more like plain khichdi, lacking the depth and spice expected from the dish. One service aspect also stood out negatively: dishes were repeatedly handed directly over our heads instead of being placed on the table. Besides being uncomfortable, this felt unsafe, especially with hot sambhar and chutneys around children. The restaurant has warmth, charm, and potential, but consistency in both food execution and service would make the experience much stronger.

This is a pure vegetarian restaurant, and we tried the Sambar Vada, Idly Plate, Poori with Aloo Saag, and Masala Soda. The Sambar Vada was really good. It came hot, soft, and tasty. The sambar did not taste like the usual Tamil Nadu or South Indian style sambar, but it was still flavorful and enjoyablchange  The idlis were also soft and fluffy. They came with sambar and a few chutneys. The coconut chutney was average, but the tomato chutney was good. The Poori with Aloo Curry was nice too. The pooris were thin, fluffy, and fresh, and they gave a generous amount of curry for two pooris. However, I felt the price was too expensive for just two pooris and aloo curry. The Masala Soda was okay. It had a Hajmola-like taste, so it may not be for everyone, but it was still decent. Overall, I would come back again for the vada and idli, and I'd like to try their thali next time. ****I would rate 3.75 due to high pricing of some items.*** ****For food its 4 stars****

Super yummy and flavorful food! We really enjoyed both dishes - Thali (so many different things to eat and try) and Chennai Kara Masala Dosa (loved the potato filling)! This was more than enough for two people! I am interested in coming back and trying other types of dosa dishes. The mango and passionfruit lassi was delicious and refreshing as well!

Was so good, had to go back to try the dosas. Very worthwhile! The hardest thing was deciding which to try. We also tried 2 appetizers. Loved one (that lentil doughnut!), and didn't like the other (doughnut in white sauce). The special spring dosa had a delightful filling and was easy to eat. The guntur spicy garlic masala dosa the delicious with it's dipping sauces. But not spicy. I learned on the way out their default is an Americanized spice level. You must ask for more true to southern Indian level of spiciness. Can't wait to go back leveraging this info!

I had a lot of expectations from this place but the food did not quite live up to it. We ordered a bunch of dishes and nothing really stood out. It just seemed like another addition to Vegetarian Food scene in the area.

My first time stopping in while I was in the area visiting family; we ordered to go and the owner was so helpful and informative. Been ages since I had a dosa and it didn't disappoint! The selection and quality of the sambar, chutneys, palya/masala, and podi were great !

Sri Krishna Bhavan is relatively new addition of flair to Indian restaurants in Bellevue. We ordered Thali, VIJAYAWADA GONGURA DOSA SPICY and Masala Soda. The dosa was crispy, filled with delicious potato vegetable and served with 3 chutneys and sambhar. Each chutney is delicious and the sambar was also tasty.I thoroughly enjoyed the taste. The Thali has a lots of variety of vegetables and dals in small quantities. So you can satisfy your pallet in every way. The rasam was very tasty and so was the soup. You do not want to miss the non-white rice. They also make different sambar that goes with different dishes. It is not one for all like other restaurants. Keep room for the sweet. It is not commonly found in other restaurants. Masala soda was a side companion. It has the right mixture of spices and sugar. I loved it. FYI, even though it is called soda, it is not effervescent. The food is truly authentic. It is also made every day and not frozen that is reheated. I asked them how do they get that authenticate taste? They source their ingredients from California on daily basis. And if that is not available, they do not make it. The service was really good. Giridhar answered questions thoroughly and in detail about each dish. He had knowledge of how it is sourced and made. He took customization and custom satisfaction seriously. I have not seen such care in any other restaurant. I wish I could give this a 10*!

Took my parents to enjoy some south indian food. Food was excellent and authentic. Everyone enjoyed. Wait time was there eventhough we went early. Wish they add reservation system. Else no complaints.

We observed other servers taking care of their tables and being present but our server was not to be found. Cliff then appeared back with what looked like tea and stood and drank his tea. We again waited and this experience felt like a prank where there is a hidden camera, waiting for our next move. We were really ready to get up and leave. Slowest service ever. Finally cliff came and we ordered food. Food came out with 15min of ordering. Cod took a little longer. Cod and lamb chops were the best meal of the day. Cod was cooked in such a good gravy and very tasty and so was the lamb. We ordered a variety of naan which was a little chewy. Dessert was the sticky pudding which was very nice. Overall this place is pricey and tip is included so you can't except great service. I would go back here for drinks. But our experience today was awful. Maybe a more engaged server would have changed our experience for the better.

I'd say overall, the menu was a little pricey, but they've got some pretty unique offerings. Parking is pretty easy as it's a shared lot with crossroads. Malaiyo is effectively just textbook light, whipped cream with a ton of saffron. They definitely don't skimp on the saffron, so if you enjoy that floral, slightly herbal flavor, this will be the dessert for you. Jalebi Rabri came out piping hot and it's got a crunch that once you bite through, the sugar syrup just gushes out. It's definitely tasty, but it was SO sweet. I'd probably put in an order and share this with a group as more than one in a sitting might be a bit tough. Banarasi Lassi was just a little tart, creamy, and had a little bit of saffron swirled through. It had just a touch of the floral saffron flavor and the sliced almonds on top were a nice touch. It's definitely on the thicker side, so more of a spoon situation than a drink.
