Driving back from Pensacola Beach and came across this place since I wanted some fried shrimp. All of the food was very good! I ordered the shrimp basket. It came with a couple hush puppies, a corn fritter, shrimp slaw, and a side of fried okra. Yummy. My only complaint is that I wish they gave more corn fritters and hush puppies because it was only a tease lol. But the portion size was perfect, it was more than enough food. My brother had the crab cake burger and he said it was awesome. My mom ordered the shrimp and fish basket and the white fish was delicious (I wish I had gotten the fish and shrimp basket too). My step dad has the red fish topped with seafood cream sauce and he enjoyed his food as well. For appetizer, we ordered the crab claws and they were pretty tasty, just not very meaty. This place is the best to stop on your way to the beach! The atmosphere was nice ate with my family of five. They where super fast with there service and our food arrived correct and delicious. Our family of five spent about $70 with tip so not to bad for a great seafood lunch and ended up being a quicker stop than I thought it would be. All around our time with the Shrimp Basket was A+. Returning home from a week in Gulf Shores. This was pretty near the half way point. Saw the Shrimp Basket sign. We knew it would be ok and it was preferable to fast food. We were seated promptly. Our server was friendly and attentive. Wife went popcorn shrimp. They do popcorn shrimp pretty well. Wife really likes their hush puppies, corn nuggets and the slaw with shrimp in it. Daughter got chicken fingers. They were of good quality and the portion was adequate. The price was high at $7.99 plus an additional $2.50 for a kids drink. Son went crab claw basket. They looked great but were not cooked to order. They were cold. Some had been at the bottom of the pan for a long time. He never complains so he didn't say a word. I stole a couple and was very disappointed by the temp and flavor. Further, they were fishy tasting which isn't what crab claws are supposed to taste like. I went with the redfish special. The piece of fish was excellent. They were heavy handed with their creamy shrimp sauce. Should have been used to accentuate a rather well blackened piece of fish. I scrapped a lot off. It was served over rice and that's it... it needed a vegetable side. The fish itself was very good though. We were in and out in a reasonable timeframe. Mid 90s health rating.
